    Thanks for these statistics! Most games against tier 7. I suspected it but was always too lazy to log it myself. Playing tier 5 atm is just bad in terms of MM. No wonder you couldn't do much. I hope WG introduces +/- 1 tier also for higher tiers in matchmaking during peak times...

    Einfach weiterspielen und besser werden. Wenn man mehr Durchschnittsschaden macht dann kann man mit Premium auf jeden Fall bei Tier 8 Schlachtschiffen im Durchschnitt Gewinn machen. Das ist keine schwarze Magie. Ich glaube bei mir (ohne Premium) mache ich erst mit der Iowa (Tier 9) Verlust. Man muss dann halt zur Finanzierung immer abwechselnd lower tier ships (oder premium ships) und die high tier ships spielen. Zur Kritik an der NC: Anfangs fand ich sie auch schlecht; mit der stock hull hab ich immer dicke Schellen kassiert - hatte den Eindruck, die hält nix aus. Man muss halt weniger als vorher Breitseite zeigen. Da 6 der 9 Kanonen vorn sind kann man einfach mal nur Schnauze voraus reinfahren dann kriegt man kaum Damage. Zur Präzision der Geschütze kann ich nur sagen, dass die sehr gut sind im Moment seit dem Patch vor ein paar Monaten.

    This is funny. ;) My aim is like guided missiles, gotta remember that one. It is not an average battle (I don't do 6 kills in an average battle), but it's not like you get constantly lucky in terms of low dispersion. It averages out. So the Kongo isn't so bad in terms of dispersion - certainly better than Myogi, Fuso. All I can say is that I am probably closer to the enemy than you are. Also, have you mounted the module that decreases shell dispersion (slot 2)? If not, do it (I did). About 1k vs 3.5k damage: This is the difference between overpenetrations (shell exists ship on the other side without exploding) and penetrations (exploding inside) when shooting AP. You often get those 1k shots against lightly armored cruisers but not against battleships, since these are thick enough for the shell to explode within the ship if you penetrate the armor. So I guess I am getting a lot of those 3.5k hits because I am mostly engaging battleships.

    Fuso has slightly more inaccurate guns, but then it has 12 of them. Fuso is amazing, much better armored than Kongo. Kongo is certainly not the best ship for close quarter fights, but it sounds to me like you are shooting at >15 km. Try to get into the zone 10-15km, where it hits well without receiving too much damage in turn. Always turn your ship slighty against enemy battleships in order not to get citadeled. A successful example:

  20. Just had a game where 3 out of our 12 ships were detonated (2 DDs 1 CA) - none of the enemy team. So pointless when RNGesus decides you lose the game.   21. The point is that this can happen DESPITE those modules and flags. 3 out of 12 ships! Plus, the argument that it isn't so bad because there is an (imperfect) remedy for it already implies that it IS bad.

  23. I've played the game for a while now and saw both lots of ships added and gameplay improved considerably (e.g., the more even MM). I want to propose a few improvements that are not related to balance or ship parameters, but which should make the game even more enjoyable. 1. Allow players to veto some maps (like in CS, Warcraft 3 or Starcraft 2) Every player has different tastes. Frankly I hate some maps. So if we could veto like 1 or 2 maps from a ship's mappool, that would be great. Tirpitz on Ocean for example just sucks. (Incidentally, it would also allow to veto the game mode "Bastion" since it is only available on one map.) 2. Matchmaking only with +/- 1 tier difference if enough players are online Some ships just don't have a chance against +2 tier ships. It's not fun playing such games if you know from the start that you will just be cannon fodder. Since enough players are online during the day, why not just allow for max 1 tier difference instead of 2 right now (at tier 5 and above). At night, this can be relaxed for faster search. There are enough ships in the game by now to guarantee diversity even for 1 tier difference. 3. Make ships available as soon as they are sunk Most people go to port as soon as they are sunk (unless you play division). It would be great if you could use the same ship right away without waiting for the game to finish. I assume the wait for the game to end is to determine whether the player has enough credits to repair the ship. If the player has enough credits even without the income from that game, then the ship should be available right away. (Imagine you buy the Scharnhorst tomorrow and you die after 5 minutes in your first game - do you really want to wait another 15 to play it again?) 4. Keep detailed game reports for 48h You probably know this: Your game crashed or you log on and you get the popup message from the game in your last session, but "detailled statistics are not available". Why not keep those for 24 or 48 hours so that one can check what happened "in that insane game yesterday"? 5. Integrate a replay manager or replay interface So far players have to open replays from Windows using the wows.exe. Hence first the game loads, then the map. Close the game again to load another replay. If replays could be started from within the game, then the game loading step would be unnecessary. Moreover, the replay manager could perhaps show some details of the map that makes it easier to find the right game. Naturally, activating replay recording should be possible in the settings (not requiring a manual edit of an .ini file).
