You can already see islands that are outside your render range, regardless of whether you are in a cyclone or not. Making the islands not render in a storm wouldn't be more fun in my opinion.

Shimakaze is the only T10 DD that I have, so picking favourites is moot. I'm doing pretty well with it.

" Lucky Loot Boxes " (ships+tea mission)
Agantas replied to __Helmut_Kohl__'s topic in General Discussion
They are just 3 regular TYL containers, there's no guarantee on last being SC. I didn't get a SC from my reward, just three regular "Try Your Luck" containers. -
Have a few doubloons to spare - which T 3 - T 7 ship to get?
Agantas replied to Zen71_sniper's topic in General Discussion
Regarding the premium Omahas, -Murmansk is C hull Omaha with 3.5 second rudder, spotter plane and 8 km torps that deal good damage. -Marblehead is a B hull Omaha (2 guns more than Murmansk, inferior gun range) with 8 km torps that deal weak damage (don't try to yolotorp healthy targets with it). I have both of these ships and personally find Murmansk to be better of the two. As for Cambeltown, it isn't exactly a powerhouse and T3 isn't a great money-making tier. I recommend that you watch a Youtube video about the gameplay of the ships that pick your interest. T7 is the golden tier of MM and premium earnings matter more when your rank is higher. -
You were overusing torpedoes in the replays, often shooting torps at targets that were plainly out of range and in situations where trying to torp is not a good idea. Examples for bad torps that were in range are that broadside Tenryu (huge lead means plenty of opportunities to turn away and he was showing broadside for you to rain effective citadels on him) and the 800 hp Kolberg (that's just 1-2 salvos with guns, faster to kill him with those. Kolberg armor is paper and she is very vulnerable to British AP, which fuzes fast enough not to overpen). You also should not torp targets that are driving away from your ship, as those tend to run out the torps. One good use for torps is against BBs at extremely close range. This kind of torp yolo works against lone BBs that are driving towards you; it tends to go badly if they have support or are driving the other way. Try to play together with friendly ships and look for flanking opportunities when possible.

Get a free T3, 4 and 5 british BB - in co-op!
Agantas replied to havaduck's topic in General Discussion
I'm still working on those citadels, 6/10. Maybe Co-Op would be an answer there, although bots tend to angle their armor... -
So when are you guys going to remove Tears of the Desert with Epicenter?
Agantas replied to IsamuKondera's topic in Maps
Epicenter works pretty nicely in Trident. I wouldn't object to having Epicenter mode in the new Ranked map either. -
There's definitely brief blackscreening when alt-tabbing in and out. They should fix this problem.

Proper CV tutorial should be the top priority
Agantas replied to Horin728's topic in General Discussion
WG has some CV tutorial videos, but for some reason, they aren't linked in the in-game portal. -
IJN DDs are fairly slim ships and AP isn't as effective against them as it is to against DDs from some other countries. AP-firing enemies are a bigger threat for my Fletcher than they are for my Shima, I think. As for Gearing, she is notorious for being a fatass that takes a lot of damage from BB AP. The reality with BB AP is different for different DDs. IJN are better off than DDs of some other countries.

I've found T6 an enjoyable tier for ranked. I've used Shinonome and Bayern this season.

I think that Khabarovsk deserves to get shelled by BB AP as it currently is. That 50 mm plating shatters cruiser HE and there's little other DDs can do to her. Dunno where to stand with this issue. Would nerfing BB AP against DDs make torpedo yolos too powerful against BBs?

Apart from scouting, what is the point of destroyers?
Agantas replied to Theperson12345's topic in Newcomers' Section
More like closer to 50% than lower, since MM would put another unimportant in the enemy team as well. That would be lower for a good player, but higher for a bad player. That said, I don't think OP is giving enough information. What country's DDs are we talking about here? Role sort of depends what ship we are talking about, after all. -
Go play on public test server to try out premiums that are available for doubloons. I think they might give you enough free doubloons for that to be possible. Public test for the next version is already ongoing, see portal for more info. You can also watch Flamu and other Youtubers play/review the ships on Youtube.

How is your Dunkirk Collection going on?
Agantas replied to Sams_Baneblade's topic in General Discussion
12/16+6, this is gonna take 2-7 days more, depending on luck with duplicates, not counting the effect of possible weekend events. -
Yorck needed this. I like it a little bit more than before now.

Concealment: Kagero - 5.4 km Yuugumo - 5.5 km Shimakaze - 5.9 km This assumes that the concealment module installed, a captain with CE aboard the ship and that 3% from camo. Your Yuugumo is missing one of these if Shima has better concealment.

Co-Op bot tactic is essentially a mad YOLO charge. Why are you comparing them to T10 PvP? The meta in Co-Op is different than that of PvP. I think that having the T9+ range module in the game contributes towards the snipy meta.

Selecting plane squad resetting to controlling ship
Agantas replied to wilkatis_LV's topic in General Discussion
Squad died/landed and the control returned to ship. That's at least the one scenario I know where the control returns to your ship. -
Without the re-prefix, that's probably the case for me as well, as I've recently managed to elite my Amagi. Still, gotta scramble the credits for it from somewhere, since I'm not selling my Amagi.

How is your Dunkirk Collection going on?
Agantas replied to Sams_Baneblade's topic in General Discussion
9/16, 3 duplicates. It's like a little X-mas calendar, with a 2 items per day gain. -
If you wanted "fair" competitive setting for captain skills and such, then you'd have specific ranked captain settings, with set amount of points, same amount for every player, and you could freely change the skills without fees. I don't think WG rolls that way, though.

T22 has -2x3 torps with 7.5 km range with 1 min reload. 62 knots, 1.3 km torpedo concealment, 13k damage. -6.1 km concealment with CE -All guns rotate 360 degrees, which removes preferred broadside. The firing angles are better towards the aft of the ship. The guns need a fairly long lead, so I suggest max - 1 zoom instead of max zoom. HE shell alpha damage is puny 1200, but you can manage if you hit more than they do and avoid their shells. Turret traverse is medium, being better than Japanese but worse than US. I don't find T-22 a horrible ship, although it does seem that people struggle with her. Give it a try at least. I do agree with that others have said with German DDs needing CE. Not having it makes things hard. I agree with your statement about DDs and PvE.

There is always the misbehaviour in chat report. 24 hour chatbans do follow for people who get reported often enough. There are also people who abuse the report system, so there shouldn't be zero tolerance for "misbehaviour", since that could just mean that you outplayed someone or tried to give them advice.

More so than the battle, in fact. Idling in the port raises the temperature of my brand new GPU (GTX 1060) to 58 or up to 60 Celsius degrees, indicating that the GPU is under stress. My old GTX 570 had fans screaming at 50+ dB and the computer occasionally shut down due to the heat generated by the CPU (which also heats under the stress). The heat lowers back to normal numbers when you alt-tab out of the game. It gets particularly bad if you open containers during your stay in the port. I think that there might be some inefficient code related to port and containers in particular. Perhaps the devs could check the code related to containers/port and see if there is something broken or some memory leak or something straining the performance at port after opening a container. The container animation in the port is particularly heavy and doesn't always show to players due to heavy loading/processing, so it is clear that this simple operation is very heavy to perform for some reason.
