Plenty of feedback in the forums of various different regions of this game. I do not know if supertesters have their own feedback channel. It would be stupid of WG not to listen to the community feedback. It would be wise of you to assume that people aren't stupid.

The average speed of the ship from the OP's data is 155.7 kt. Omaha's listed max speed is 34 kt, so the ships in game are more than 4.5 times faster than in reality (note that the Omaha doesn't drive at max speed for the whole match). So close to 5 times seems like a good number.

Captchas do not seem to be very effective against modern bots in MMORPGs that use them. More of a nuisance to human players than anything else.

The 2xPepsi & Nagato division on green side threw off the MM there. It seems to be balancing tier 9 and tier 7 BB vs 2 x tier 8 BB, also by putting all free tier 9 ships to green team to offset the 3 tier 9 ships in red team. Would the teams be fairer if Red team got Hipper and Kutuzov from green team and green team got Mahan and Hatsuharu from red team in exchange? Or perhaps that tier 7 division going to red team with reds giving Tirpitz, Hatsuharu and Mahan to green team? Either of those a better option for you?- 26 replies

Having a varying amount of DDs enriches the game, since you can have different gameplay experiences with different team setups. I've been both in BB and DD role in a game with 8 DDs, for example (Derzki and South Carolina). The DDs were constantly spotting one another and I loaded HE with my BB and sank a Wickes that drove straight line for too long. As for 5 DD games, those are perfectly fine, at tier 5. Gives some DD vs DD encounters as well, since there's bound to be a DD going for every cap at those games. So general 3 DD cap is a bad idea in my opinion. "But Shimakazes..." is not a good reason to cap the amount of DDs for the entire game. You don't have that kind of torp walls at lower tiers, so limiting the DDs is not, in my opinion, the correct solution to the problem.

You can use SHIFT key to switch between your last used zoom and no zoom. That is very useful when you want to aim in zoom and then fire from the hip. -
Skybuck, I will explain you how cruisers work. First, you need to set a hostile BB on fire. Then, you'll drive around it in circles and proceed to grill sausages and roast marshmallows in that fire. You can also sing campfire songs while driving around the BB.

I've had a couple of games where I've torped a pair of battleships with my Königsberg with this kind of approach (remember, it has torps on each side). Generally there needs some kind of distraction to keep the Battleship's attention until it is too late. The BB does need to be otherwise occupied in some manner, though. If the Battleship focuses on you early on when you're still far, it is not likely to succeed (unless you manage to weave your ship in the incoming fire and dodge all the BB salvos).

Let's hope that they'll bring in More Myoko-class ARP ships as well, since I wasn't able to get Myoko at the time. Now I have a good amount of tier 6 ships, so Myoko should be possible. -
Can the fighter aircraft on Furutaka and others be used for spotting?

It wouldn't spot anything if it was circling that close. A Minekaze/Mutsuki with 6 km surface detection range can be spotted by that plane. Minekaze has an air detection range of 3.1 km. The ship would always spot first if that was the case. So clearly it is longer than 3 km. I think it is somewhere in 3-5 km range from the ship, but I don't know what the exact distance is. -

That's one biased poll. Do you really think that the only reason people say no to your idea is because they'd find it too complicated? It is not good to make assumptions about people's reasons like that. A CV that can freely rotate the squads outside the predetermined setup is more powerful than a CV that can't. Do you think that CVs should have this kind of extra power? -

What's the distance between the plane and the ship that it circles around? Let's assume that it is not chasing aircraft, but circling around at its usual orbit. -
I watched it since people were talking about it here in this forum. You're not missing anything good by not watching it. The game itself is in Japanese, so there is no point for me to play that since I don't read their script.

There are three pages in the end of battle report, DB. Second shows the base xp and kills for everyone in the team and third page lists shots fired and damage done with each ammo/damage type and who you've hit in the battle.

If you are within smoke you should not be able to see other players at all

That doesn't sound plausible. The game is already full of third party spotting mechanics. For example, if a DD spots you, then the battleships in his team, which are not within your surface detection range, can also see you. Smoke is no exception from that. You can shoot at ships that are behind islands because of these spotting mechanics, so why not from the smoke? And yes, the smoke does reduce the DD's visibility to the target if no-one else is spotting it. As a reference from that time period, this WW2 era training video from US Navy claims that you can accurately shoot targets farther away than the visibility you have from the ship's deck (visibility from Iowa's deck - 14 miles, accurately shoot the target 20 miles away): -
Go bravely to randoms when you first can. Newbies with low player rank/level will be put in separate matchmaking pool to play with each other (assuming tier 1-3 ships), so you can still learn your way in PvP without being crushed by superior opponents. You don't learn to play against players by playing bots, just how your ship works. Also, bots play the maps differently from players, so you learn how to play a specific map by playing against players, not bots. Crew progression exists in captain perks. The captains are unlocked when you reach high enough level.

Mikhail Kutuzov is a Sverdlov-class cruiser, right? I think we'll be getting a very similar ship in Sverdlov when Russian cruisers are released.
