Yudachi would be a premium Hatsuharu with 2 x 4 torp launchers and slightly lower top speed (if that is feasible for a DD to have. 34 knots is a horrible speed for a DD).

A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum

Why mount a turret when you can mount an entire ship on that same slot? -
Got the Kongo, need help please - replays attached

Who's the enemy and what's the rest of the situation? Are you going to get torped or flanked if you continue or are you going to get citadeled if you turn? -
Myogi is a completely different beast than Kawachi. Kawachi - slow, short-ranged, good concealment and shells go all over the place. Myogi - fast, long-ranged, horribly visible and shells go all over the place. That said, I have repurchased the Kawachi, since who doesn't want to play a ship that is a class of its own? It's pretty difficult for other BBs to sneak up to within 10 km from cruisers and pop out of concealment by citadeling them with your big guns, assuming that the dispersion doesn't screw you off that time. The dispersion does matter more at closer ranges, so I find it a good tactic for a Kawachi to fire at max range or close at max range.

Learn to read your opponent's game better. What is their situation and where would you be in their position when the torps hit? You're slower than Minekaze, but have 10 km torps, so you can afford to be more conservative when playing against approaching ships. The stock torps are a pain, so I freexped my Mutsuki to 10 km torps.

I've had several detonations on DDs.

sisters of fog reward ? didn't get it ?
Agantas replied to 6ganja6guardian6's topic in General Discussion
Firstly, you don't need to make space for the ship. It comes with its own slot. Secondly, the missions have two parts, where first gives you the commander and second gives you the ship (or four, first Haruna (commander), Second ARP Haruna (Ship), Third Hiei (commander), fourth ARP Hiei (ship)). Thirdly, you can only see the ship in Yokosuka port. -
It's not like you can't scroll it out of the screen after you've read the bolded headlines.
-
Let's correct that a bit, since it doesn't address the whole issue, since you can get Haruna/Hiei without getting a ship due to not completing the mission in time (for example, my only tier 7 ship is Hatsuharu. It might complete the mission to get Hiei the mental model, but that 2000-3000 hits with main guns on a Hatsuharu, I probably won't manage to get in time). Give everybody with more ARP captains than ships the amount of slots the shipless captains take.

I'd say that the grandaddy of naval gaming is Battleship https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battleship_(game)

why has my ship has not gone to Elite status?
Agantas replied to Naveey's topic in Newcomers' Section
The point of unlocking Kawachi is that if you later change your mind and want to give BBs and CVs a shot after all, so that you don't have to repurchase Tenryu to do the remainder of the grind. -
New personal damage record with Aoba - Nearly 91k damage done and 3 ships sunk (Minekaze, Pensacola and Colorado) under 5 minutes. Short but action-packed game. http://wowreplays.com/Replay/3550-Agantas-Aoba-North

Kawachi plays like a Japanese ninja too. A fat ninja is still a ninja.

Good stuff in this thread. Looks like I've been playing Gnevny wrong, using only HE. Should try that AP stuff next time.

What exactly does 'Superintendent' command skill actually mean?
Agantas replied to HotStuff_1's topic in General Discussion
Mouse over the skill to see which consumables you get more of for your current ship. -
Play together with the other ships in your team and don't charge forward alone. Pay attention to what your team is doing. You can't play against people as reckessly as you play bots.

Changing the ammo type for the next shot reloads new ammo to all turrets, including those that didn't fire. Did you count the shells and see more shells flying when you changed ammo types?

With all this badmouthing of Kawachi going on, I'll just drop this video of a Kawachi Kraken here (iChase's Kawachi challenge).

Some pointers: -Kawachi has good concealment, so you can pick your battles. Try to be where your enemies don't want you to be. -Angle your armor so that people don't citadel you and you can deflect some shots (I was pretty new when I had my Kawachi, but South Carolina bowtanked like a champ). -You have guns on both sides. Approach your opponent angled, unload your guns and weave to the other broadside and fire the guns on that side. If there are already targets on that side, you can shoot those with the remaining two guns. -Equipping camouflage will improve your concealment (assuming that you have unlocked them already). -Remember that good concealment makes it easier to disengage and go into back hiding (and re-engage when you are ready. Use the situational awareness perk).

Some newbie questions: ammo types and torpedo spread settings
Agantas replied to krazypenguin's topic in Newcomers' Section
2. Depends of what you are firing at. Both spread settings have their uses. 3. The torpedo arming distance is where the green aiming cone ends near your ship. 4. Torps have ship-specific reload times. Note that each torpedo tube and each main gun of your ship have a separate reload times. The shorter reload times that you see are the reload times for the other tubes that shot after the first one and the longer reload time is between last and first tube firing. There are small bars above your weapon toolbar that indicate the cooldowns of torpedo tubes/main guns. Those that weren't used are still ready to fire (assuming that you didn't set it to reload another ammunition type for the next shot, in which case it will reload every tube regardless of how many guns fired). 5. The only limitation is game timer and reload times. The damage control party consumable also doesn't run out (R key) -
Mikasa shouldn't be OP nor should she be miserable to work properly in the game. If we want more pre-dreadnought battleships, wouldn't making Mikasa work be a good first step in the process?

PM is from Noon to Midnight. AM is from Midnight to Noon. You don't use AM and PM with the 24 hour clock, since the number already tells you whether it is morning or evening. It might be possible to change the clock in your forum settings. As for your question, just assume that they use both feedback and statistical data unless someone in the know states otherwise.

It isn't earlier. 12:48 PM = 12:48. 10:06 PM = 22:06.

Personal Offer - Have you already recieved one?
Agantas replied to Trigger_Happy_Dad's topic in General Discussion
The difference is that the in-game offer is bought with doubloons and this one is bought with real money. Doubloons are not real money (even though they cost real money to buy). The offer works for people who have doubloons, want premium, and are not planning to put any more money in the game. Just don't buy doubloons for the in-game offer. -
Question about warships and their admirals...
Agantas replied to TakedaYabu's topic in General Discussion
They should at least make situational awareness work during the retraining. But to answer the OP, retrained captain is ultimately better than new captain, since it takes less points to take the captain at same level. Prepare to pay 200k credits to get half of the retraining done.
