We are looking into ways to reduce the BB population

G-101 is the introductory course to German destroyers. -
How many of those hits hit an already burning section? Those have 0% chance to set a fire since the section is already burning.

I've had 8 people aiming me at one point. It was short and brutal.

Khaba broke? my best game ever on WoWs 8 kills
Agantas replied to mediaman1111's topic in General Discussion
That 50 mm side armor plating makes Khaba pretty tough to damage, since cruiser HE shatters. It would take a Henri V with IFHE to pen through that. The ship is already hard to hit because it is so fast. -
On what USN ship are you having your "Steven Seagal" captain?
Agantas replied to Leo_Apollo11's topic in General Discussion
I have him on North Carolina, but I think he'd be better off in a cruiser. -
Secondary build isn't really super effective if you don't have manual secondaries yet, I think. That's currently the case with my Bismarck. I have 10-11 points and I'm saving for manual secondaries atm. The secondaries do something, but aren't really a huge threat to anything without MS.

Can we have spotting damage show in the mouseover popup, along with other damage done to enemy ships on detailed report? So, when you mouse over the target ship in detailed report, you would see damage you spotted against that ship in addition to the damage you caused to that ship.

You'll face less accidents with Shima if you have radio location. Personally, I think that getting radio location has improved my Shimakaze play. Shimakaze has markedly worse concealment than Kagero/Yuugumo, so it gets spotted rather easily while in front line if there is no radio location warning about the direction of the enemy DD. Flamu has made two videos on how to use radio location with your DDs. Radio location is useful for finding/avoiding enemy DDs, torping enemy DDs in their smoke, determining if caps are abandoned or not and stuff like that. Overall, it is useful for close range stealth-related play and DD knife fights, but if your playstyle is something longer-ranged, then you probably don't need radio location that much.

BB's - Something needs to be done before more are released.
Agantas replied to ApesTogetherStronK's topic in General Discussion
Not a great MM for the T8 BBs either. You kinda have to play that like playing Igor on Halloween. Set a lot of fires from max distance if you're a cruiser. Gotta stay behind the BBs too, in that kind of MM. I got a similar MM with my Bismarck earlier, except that there were no cruisers. -
Or playing same ship multiple games in a row, then suddenly switching to a different ship.
-
I've had this happen a couple of times. Some examples: -I played Ibuki thinking I was driving my Shimakaze. After I got spotted by enemy Shima, I took a shot at him, looked at the 4k+ damage. I was in A cap at Mountain Range, already driven to cap at that point, turned broadside to kite concealment. I decided to pop smoke and when that didn't help me in getting unspotted, I took a look and noticed different consumables. - I played my Langley in Random Battles, thinking I was playing Co-Op, since I had planned to switch for the ease of CV sniping. I ended up sniping both enemy CVs and ruining the Imperator Nikolai's day by sinking him. Only after the game, I realized that it wasn't Co-Op, regardless of the different amount of players and me getting stuff like Liquidator and High Caliber in that game. As for playing a cruiser thinking I was a BB, that has happened to me a couple of times too. I generally notice at some point, though.

You get the skins by gathering all emblems, you win the ship by completing the campaign. Some of the camp end tasks gave you modules. I found myself owning relevant upgrade modifications for Bismarck secondary build. I did have to buy the camo modification, but got target acquisition module from the campaign. So, you get stock Bismarck with some modifications, modules you have to research purchase yourself. 1 point captain too, so you might want to assign someone else for the ship or train from the scratch.

I played World of Battleships earlier. Each side had one CV and 11 BBs. I was driving a Bismarck on a T10 game. Their CV targeted me in the beginning and I had to flee behind our Montana and Currywurst for added AA protection. We stuck together after that and the plane threat was manageable, at least for me. Trying to bowtank two Yamatos wasn't manageable, though.

My unsinkable was from eating a stray torp while repair was on cooldown. I wasn't in the middle of fray and was able to survive the rest of my game, I think it was Mogami, Ibuki or some other cruiser.

The symbol of engine is also different from rudder, a gear with lighting bolt. Broken guns can be seen from the compass wheel picture as black, while destroyed guns show up as a red x.
-
Some very difficult ones: -Unsinkable, since survival is unlikely in a situation where you flood that much. Happened to me once, though. -Clear Sky, this entirely depends of the enemy CV/CVs throwing their planes at you. I've only managed to get one of them with my Cleveland, actively hunting planes in that game. -Solo Warrior. The easiest way to get this achievement requires a preset where team holds caps well, then dies with you having a point lead. After this, you run for the hills and win by point count. I've managed to do this twice. -Die-Hard. Surviving ramming is a rare exception. Both of my Die-Hard's came from ramming a DD, once with a Pensacola, once with a Fubuki (I had the extra hp captain perk at the time). -Witherer. It is demanding to rack up this much damage by DoT effects other people can repair. Flooding ships are also often focused down. Still, this one is easier than the other four listed. This achievement needs a high tier game and generally BBs with a lot of HP to burn. -Liquidator/Arsonist. People rarely take this much damage from DoT, having to kill secure brings the additional difficulty to the task. These are easier to get than the other five listed. All heroic achievements need a pretty good game. As for High Caliber mentioned by OP, it is easier to achieve in ranked battles where there are less ships to fight against.

Is the "Hunt for Bismark" doable ?
Agantas replied to anonym_XGuN6pHmfiJ9's topic in General Discussion
I have completed the campaign. The camo is actually easier to gather than Bismarck herself if you don't have Hood, since you can barter 4 duplicate insignias for one you don't already have. You can do the bartering when you have enough duplicates to barter for all remaining missing ones. You'll get 2 insignias per completed task. -
It really depends. Cyclone can be pretty bad for a ship that is not suited for brawling.
-
Yes, but will Sailor Donald be able to save the World? As for OP, the answer for your question is this: You can't turn it off since you suck at using WoWS interface. There is a menu near the ship carousel that allows either hiding the ships or their camo. All allowed: Spoiler With camo hidden:
-
I'm still missing five, with 21 duplicates owned.

I just played a derp with my Fletcher and it is now waiting for me to gather enough credits to pay for the service, no negative credits.

Big fish in little pond or small potato in big pond?
Agantas replied to loppantorkel's topic in General Discussion
Tier 10 economy would be a nightmare with no potatoes around. -
I keep seeing it being called 'the passive meta'
Agantas replied to ilhilh's topic in General Discussion
What would you have them do? If the cruisers are hitting that BB and doing effectively damage, then what else do you think they should be doing? Typically cruisers bail if they get spotted and there's someone who can shoot at them, to avoid getting locked in charging into the enemy fleet. They have an option to move forward to give fire support if there's actually a BB that pushes to the extent that he is tanking for the team. Supporting DDs is also an important task for cruisers, but a good DD player understands that the cruisers will stay where they can live and do what they can from those positions. -
Sinking a DD without any shell hits?!
Agantas replied to BappZrannigan's topic in General Discussion
A hit is a hit, even with bad desync. You'll just see it 'hit' the water and explode as a hit when that happens. HE near misses can detonate your ship, it has happened to my DDs at times.
