Is WG about to close World of Warships?

Oh they found a cure, well then the game isn't going anywhere.

[SOLVED] Can't watch replays any more

But that's actually why it gets stuck, whenever I want to watch a replay, I uninstall my mods before even trying, I know replays don't work with mods enabled. I can't be bothered to find out which one either so I just uninstall and reinstall them all.

Is WG about to close World of Warships?

I mean you enter a thunderer vs conqueror conversation and go like "Yeah I think Conqueror is better but also what about this Donald Trump, guys? Isn't he bad? Guys? Tell me how much you agree, he's bad, isn't he? Here's a picture of a politician I don't like, guys? What do you think?" It's pshychotic

Does DJT live in your head? How much rent does he pay to live there? Are you Brian Stelter? If so why do you play on EU? I have yet to see you post a comment (in a forum about digital battleships) that does not randomly mention Trump, includes a photo of Trump and/or has a random orange-man-bad comment. If a man across the world has infected your mind to the point where you cannot discuss digital battleships without attempting to bait people into speaking about Trump, this is not normal. You do realize half the people reading your crap don't respond because it does not belong here and the other half do not respond because it does not belong here and they love this man, as roughly 50% of the world does. Either way, I have never seen anyone respond to your incessant attempts to discuss Trump on a world of warships forum, perhaps a sign to stop trying.
  5. How about at least start with corrections so that truly unplayable games no longer exist. You ever play a T6 DD as the only DD in a match with a T6 and a T8 CV on both teams? You basically spawn dead, your ship might as well self-detonate in spawn. I don't care who you are or who your opinions are. The best Fubuki player ever will die when he's the only DD facing an above average ryujo and kaga. Or how about my 5 o clock in the morning game last week, matchmaker gave me a 6v6 : 2 CVs and 4 DDs on both teams. I was one of the DDs, I killed all four enemy DDs in five minutes. My mission then was beating two carriers in a DD, that's not even theoretically possible. I tried sailing into my own torpedoes but quickly found the math isn't quite there to do this.

    Does Strasbourg make Dunkerque OP?

Does getting hit in the head with a brick make getting hit in the head with a frying pan OP? They both suck
  7. Skipping T1-T4 serves sanity well, what on earth do you learn from getting bombed by one and thesame squadron of planes until you die. I'm all for going up the tiers slowly, but the game starts at T5 - T4 is a cesspool of CVs annihilating ships that aren't CVs. AA values at T4 don't make any sense, squadrons have thousands of HP, some ships do 10 DPS, a CV can literally hover his planes over a ship for the entire duration of a match soaking up AA damage and not lose a single plane. It's nonsense
  8. I got 2 people playing warships this year. Both quit because they kept getting violated by double CVs in a ship without AA, they felt helpless. I tried to explain that after T5, the game is about more than just getting raped by planes which literally cannot die or ever leave you alone, by then it was too late and they went back to dota and tarkov. Every T4 game being four CVs bombing twenty people desperately trying to get away from planes, is, retarded. You can't have the initial stages of this game be nothing other than 4 people having fun bombing 20 helpless people.

Is WG about to close World of Warships?

If the CEOs of wargaming, two brothers if I remember correctly, developed a skin condition that makes them sick when they comes into contact with cash, they might close down It's a very rare condition though so I wouldn't count on it

I work in finance and looked them up once because I was curious, I don't remember the numbers but I can tell you, unless they have a nasty allergy for cash and passionately hate making money, they won't be closing down, friend. Very few companies in the industry make as much dollarinos as these boys do, and good for them.

Thoughts on German BBs in 2021?

I'm thinking these new american BBs pigs might be a good alternative to Germans for newbie boats. Slow? Who cares, they don't know when or how to reposition anyway. Can't dodge planes? Who cares, they weren't going to dodge them anyway, just hit the button and shred the planes. Bad aim? Who cares, twelve 406 shells at T8 lol - throw enough shlt at the wall, something's gotta stick. Most of us think of this line as pigs but they might actually be exactly what a new player needs
  12. Also join a clan with people slightly better than yourself and play with them/learn from them. Clans with really good players won't play with you, clans with players on your level or worse won't teach you anything. Also watch Flamu, ignore his "hear ye hear ye, wargaming killed a puppy, the end is nigh" rants, just watch how he plays, he's majestic at the game and at explaining what he's doing and why.
  13. Sir, this is blasphemy, North Carolina is a vessel for gentlemen of wealth and taste, it is the battleship of choice for connoisseurs of fine ships, you almost have to wear a fedora and drink wine when playing it. Getting it was most certainly not a mistake. Playing it this soon though, big mistake. If there's one battleship in the game that's hot garbage if you don't know what you're doing but finger-licking good if you do know what you're doing, it's north carolina. So just a quick example of something you can't possibly know : North carolina has the slowest shells in the game but also the hardest hitting and most accurate shells in T8, this means the guns are by far the hardest to aim, but for someone with really good aim, NC guns are the best T8 guns. It has an all-or-nothing armor scheme, meaning if you show any kind of side, the ship is terrible, if your situational awareness is perfect, it's super tanky. It can brawl better than most brawlers but only if you execute it perfectly by making use of its superior firing angles, something many don't even realize is a crucial thing on a ship - because all they look at is damage per minute and how thiccccc the armor is. You'll learn all this, about any and all ships, if you don't skip low tiers. When you go into a fight knowing a lot of about all of the ships, you'll have all the information to git gud.
  14. Also this, when I say git gud at T5 before going to T6, git gud at T6 before going to T7, I should have added, do not play T1/T2/T3/T4 - The game starts at T5 for everyone and it ends at T7 for you, for now anyway. T1/T2/T3/T4 is world of warship's equivalent of an anus. All you'll see down there is - Drunk people from great clans, divisioning up in meme-boats on discord to beat people up. - Frustrated CV players spamming T4 CVs to beat up noobs without AA on their ship. - Statpadders genociding bots after 21h to fluff stats. - Bots after 21h. You will learn nothing there because you'll either beat up bots or get beat up by CVs, by statpadders or by drunk discord divisions. Become the best T5 player you can be with many different ships, move up to T6, repeat before moving up to T7. The step up to T8 is the hardest. Here's some wonderful low tier tech tree ships you could aim for, my personal favorites, still play them, I even dump millions of elite xp on them so I can play them with 19pt captains. T5 CA : Konigsberg T6 CA : Budyonny T6 CA : Pensacola T7 DD : Gadjah Mada T7 CL : Fiji T7 BB : Sinop You'll probably want to keep some good low tier stuff anyway with the new ranked system being random tiers which change frequently.
  15. The answer is nothing, you grind nothing do what colonelpete said, anyone that went from being trash to being good will tell you thesame. This chart is my winrate, I was at 45% for literally years playing the game on and off because I did exactly what you did : Ploughed through a couple of lines in a matter of days and spammed high tier games where I was a useless punching bag and a burden to my team. The only thing I achieved doing this was ruining two thousand T10 games where I did not belong. I was miserable because I was bad, everyone was outplaying me, my team was miserable because they had to carry me, they were mostly nice enough to not mention it. It's impossible to play around half a dozen long duration 12KM radars if you haven't learned how to deal with Belfast short duration short range radar at T7. You are not going to dodge Halland torps if you can't dodge visby torps, you will eat them and you will die. Because he took the time to learn to launch them and you did not take the time to learn to dodge them. You'll die, you'll suck and you'll be miserable. Last summer I decided to switch things up, play a ton of different lines up to T7 to learn all about the ships, how they're played. You go from T5 to T6 once you feel like you're one of the better players on your team consistently at T5, you go from T6 to T7 when you feel you're consistently one of the best players in your team at T6 etc. My winrate and all other stats took off like a rocketship, my solo winrate at T9/T10 has been around 60% for months, I'm a unicum kitakaze player, apparently ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ My only regret in world of warships is playing high tier too soon and too long. Don't do it, you'll end up a useless potato with 39% winrate, garbage player rating and ten thousand games played at T10 because you never learned the basics, you'll just make the same mistakes over and over. You need to play all the ships and classes to be any good at anything, you can't be a good top tier BB captain if you've barely played destroyers, because you don't understand the ship that can wreck you. When you're playing north carolina you have no idea what a lightning might do to you, because you've never played one, you have no idea what a Fiji might do to you and how, because you've never played one, you have no idea why in gods name a Hindeburg wants your upper belt so badly, it's a cruiser, it should be terrified of you, it isn't, play one and you'll know why. You're at a crossroads 600 games in, you're going up the lines way too fast, this is when you decide : Do I want to be a 42% WR 300PR 10K games potato or do I want good clans asking me to please join them and play clan battles with them. I went from being called a potato to people randomly messaging me after I beat them senseless asking if I would please join. By doing basically what Colonelpete said you should do. Took me 6 months. You're lucky, you're asking this question 600 games in, I asked it 2.000 games in, some people play 20.000 games and never ask themselves if maybe they suck because they skipped content.

Thoughts on German BBs in 2021?

German ships should really just come with a warning explaining that their unique armor scheme only works at short-medium range depending on the ship, I wonder how many you'd still see on the J line if they knew that this armor scheme makes their ship more vulnerable to getting blapped at long range. Imagine if they knew getting closer was more useful, more fun and safer. I don't know how many times I blapped a GK at 15km, he would have beat me senseless if he was closer.

Thoughts on German BBs in 2021?

Yes, easiest ships for a new player to do reasonably well in, because you can't get deleted, you should be immune to torpedoes. Hardest ships for an experienced player to carry in because they lack the tools to do so, the gimmick of that line is being easy to play. I argue this applies to all Germans, German DDs can't really carry either but their hydro/smoke is basically a cheat-code in the cap circle. German cruisers get away with stuff that simply deletes other cruisers, aiming German CA guns is super easy, they don't even need to think about plating because their HE pens every part of anything they shoot. I recommend any new player plays germans, be it BB, CA or DD. German ships are a gentle way to learn the game. Or at least, they should be, some people insist on sitting on the J line for what appears to be 4+ years. Their guns are terrible at long range and their special armor becomes a liability rather than a strength at long range, but don't tell them, let's agree to not tell them.

Note to self : Collect supercontainers, never open them, collect all free xp ships, then open containers, infinite supply of doubloons if all goes well.

Compensation for Agir - 1 (one) credit

Just so I understand this, you can't receive a crate with agir when you aready have agir. This person should have never gotten a second agir and 1 credit? The only reason this happened is because he : A) Got a container with an Agir B) Did not open it C) Bought Agir with FXP D) Then opened his crate Correct? If this is correct, you guys shouldn't even bother writing code for this and customer support is fine, how often could this possibly happen ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Compensation for Agir - 1 (one) credit

Why the F are people thumbing you down, you're the only person making any sense here, refunding the FXP makes way more sense than giving doubloons for a ship you didn't pay for, refunding an arbitrary number of credits or refunding you one (lol) credit. *Edit nevermind the dude actually got doubloons, that's a bit too generous in my opinion, didn't pay for the ship, but good for him.

    teams are awful, as expected

I'm a big fan of monitor because you can use it tactically, it gives you a general idea of who you can trust and who will explode, who you should support and who will die regardless. But there is a major flaw with monitor : It's incredibly easy to fluff your stats. 59% WR for someone who plays in 3 man divs most of the time is pretty much a 47% WR player. It's probably a 39% WR player if he does 3 man divisions in T5. It's entirely possible that 48% WR yamato was the best player out of 14 guys playing this match. Someone ran these numbers a long time ago, two man divs adds like 8% WR, three man divs adds well over 10%. Do random test if you don't believe me. Use monitor > 59% WR player being a potato > check solo winrate at T9/T10 > He's 45% WR every time. He just played kamikaze with 2 buddies or a jutland/double kitakaze division two thousand times to fluff the numbers. To program is useful but you can't really take it at face value, it's an indication at best. If you play jutland double kitakaze with 3 friends and BTFO all the enemy DDs, you're looking at 90% winrate even if all 3 of you are garbage. If monitor would show solo winrate for the current tier, it would be an accurate representation. Sadly, it does not.

Devs fix the the damn map border abuse

The word exploit is thrown around too casually, a few months ago I read a topic from a dude arguing that "dodging my torpedoes is exploiting game mechanics" Beasofwar or something the guy was. He was actually arguing that the playerbase owes it to him, personally, to sail in to and eat his torpedoes. I actually quit the forum for 3 months when I read that because reading it cost me too many braincells. Borderhumping is not an exploit because you can practice landing hits on someone doing it, once you do, they're the easiest hits to land, because your target is doing 9kt and cannot maneuver, he's literally going in a straight line at 1/4 speed. A borderhumping Kleber is easier to hit than a Vermont going in a straight line. They're going in straight lines at 1/4 speed, the only reason your aim is thrown off is because the ship is moving sideways, it looks weird. Ignore how it looks and just aim as if it were going in a straight line at 1/4 speed, which is effectively what it's doing.
  24. COPlUM

Devs fix the the damn map border abuse

This is the only correct answer. Border humping is useful in one scenario : You're outnumbered, you can't disengage and the people shooting you have bad aim, in this very specific scenario and only in this specific scenario is it smart to glide over the border, because it allows you to remain angled perfectly for longer, even when you ran out of map to kite, it allows you to not take citadel hits while keeping all your guns on target for longer, make better trades. It does not work if your opponent knows what he's doing so it's a git gud issue, a you-problem. If you're stupid enough to 5v1 a ship doing this for 8 minutes, you deserve to lose anyway, you took the bait, you just let your team get crushed 7v11 elsewhere on the map.
  25. No sore toes, I don't even have Halland (yet) - I'm just saying the ship is more capable than winrate would imply. Same goes for Shima. DD players that don't do their job and just "go wide" and fail-torpedo the same BB for 20 mins really pull down the average. My toes are fine and you're not disagreeing with me so all is well
