How to deactivate stupid floral decorations on Hizen War Paint camo??
COPlUM replied to ___V_E_N_O_M___'s topic in General Discussion
Very common actually. A Bunch of men on a boat together for months and they can't stop talking about semen. I'm surprised the ships weren't covered in glitter. -
WHY do people play ranked when they DONT want to play ranked???
COPlUM replied to Wulf_Ace's topic in General Discussion
So that harugumo on your team got 3 kills. You and the only 2 enemy ships that died? -
Sure that, I mean scenario like you're the only DD, there's 3 caps, those planes, well intended, but the enemy CV now knows where to find me.

I decided to ignore matchmaking monitor once and help a potato (in a yugumo) he was pinging me for help because he was 1v2. I was nearby, I charge in with my kitakaze, open up on them, the potato yugumo decides to leave, hang me out to dry 1v2, I did not make it, the potato sailed into a stray torpedo seconds after I saved his life. I politely asked why he did that, we could have easily won if he didn't bail, he told me to piss off and reported me. My greatest achievement today was a reminder for why I should always use monitor to decide who I help and never - ever - ever risk my ship to save a potato. -
T5/T6/T7 is where you actually learn something, T8 is where you start facing people you probably don't want to face yet. Couple of solid tech tree ships at those tiers T5 Konigsberg T6 Budyonny T7 Gadjah Mada (probably wait with that, destroyers aren't very new player friendly) T7 Fiji (maybe also wait, not an easy ship to play) T7 Sinop

Maybe their built-in acceleration improvement is messing with the speed reduction of border humping somehow

Also a nice "HELLO OUR DD IS GOING THIS WAY" sign

Watching that replay, halland looks like a comfy ship to play, relaxing, something you play wearing pyjamas, play some jazz music, drink hot hot cocoa. Totally different from my kitakaze, kitakaze is best played wearing bondage gear, listening to hardbass and doing cocaine. I would like a comfy and relaxing DD experience for a change, i'm getting me a halland.

PQ's The CV problem - discussion with skilled players only

Stealthradar is nonsense but weegee knows, they're phasing it out, it's all but gone. To stealth radar there is no counter, anything that has no counter is unhealthy in a pvp game. -
Yeah is common sense, only way to git gud is pay attention to someone better than you, figure it out and try to replicate it. If you just play a lot without watching/learning, you practice doing the wrong things. That's how you end up with 10K games and 45% WR, you're experienced, but it's all bad experience.

I mostly play high tier DDs and no longer see radar as a problem, I used to. Unlike planes, there are ways to completely out-play radar in a DD. In fact, I like radar now, they make me use brain.exe - You can just make radar cruisers waste their radar without ever actually spotting you or getting a shot at you. You can often use their radar against them. A poorly played radar cruiser is typically desperate to "make use of" his radar, if you got battleships on your team in good positions, you bait the radar cruiser into accelerating out of cover to shoot you, that radar cruiser is now a very dead radar cruiser. But it's off topic, just take it from me, you can outplay radar and even mess with them if they use radar. -
The most "accurate" DD ranked tier list ever made

Clever, evaluate the potential of a ship in the right hands by examining how the top 5% does in them, you exclude factors that make comparison hard. -
ranked lose points rank without play what is happening ?
COPlUM replied to averof_warrior's topic in General Discussion
X to doubt, just straight lined in front of my balti in a light cruiser to get the cap 60 seconds into the match :pepega: -

Should post less spam and pay more attention to the game, recognize the name, just blapped this guy sailing 8km broadside straight line in front my baltimore in ranked. Also lol complaining about ranked without knowing how the game mode works. -

I overextended very early in a support cruiser, top tier, I died like a potato, I was very embarrassed and got carried, we won. Is this an achievement? -
Someone with 196 games played in a puerto rico isn't going to be great, not necessarily a bot. Sidenote, you barely outperformed the bot. Nobody likes bad teammates but come on, imagine if everyone made a topic whenever someone on their team is being useless. Just don't. We all get bad teammates sometimes. Even if it was a bot, you'll get a game with a bot on the enemy team soon.

Wouldn't go that far, if your team's DDs die first, your CV and maybe some radar ship is the only reason you still have something to play for, possibly. Safe bet CVs were added with the best intentions. Maybe they thought CVs would counter someone sitting in the back sniping, encourage less passive play - But the meta evolved to everyone sitting the back clumped up sniping with a CV in play. It's not reasonable to assume they went to work and said "Right, how do we add a class of ships that makes our game suck" Some things are just objectively bad for the game, in clan battles you get laughed at for even suggesting anyone bring a destroyer. 30 seconds into the match both teams know exactly what the other teams strategy is. The fact that AA on some ships is so comical I don't even turn it on when the planes are right on top of me because I know it's not going to shoot down planes, with some ships, if planes want you dead, you just let it happen. -

Playing kitakaze, took a flank with a potato alaska and potato minnesotta against six ships, minnesota started running away immediately upon spawning, alaska at least waited to run away until we knew it was 3v6. I asked Minnesota, isn't this a bit early to start running away? I asked Alaska couldn't you have at least used radar for me before running away to give me a chance? Thought to myself, screw it, 1v6 it is. Launched 12 torps, double strike, gunned down their DD. Hey look guys, it's 3v3 now, so they turned back in, we won. Great achievement but I can't help thinking why people do this? It makes no sense on a very basic level, you are playing a PVP game about blowing eachother up and your first instinct when you see an enemy ship is OH MY GOD I DONT WANT TO DIE PLEASE DONT SHOOT ME - RUN AWAY. It's not a survival game friends -
I can barely watch this because I kept looking at what that Shima on your team was doing, it's so distracting. > Spawn > No clue what to do, reverse, abandon cap, sail circles behind your team for 9 minutes > Realize sailing circles is boring, decide to move up a bit > Instantly eat a random torpedo and sink Nice watching you play though, you're at 6,1km detection half the game, right on the edge of your concealment, putting fish in the water for that BB push while simultaneously hunting red shima. Lots of good stuff there for OP to unpack.

Im guessing enemy team pushed hard on C and won Your team pushed hard on A and won Enemy team moved down to B with your team staying in A Then yes, this is a loss, unless - You can somehow explain to your team that sitting in A is not an option as losing is a matter of time - The enemy team has a few people that want to *win harder* Happens a lot sadly, idk why, the ships arent real, nobody actually dies when you sink
-
-Planes with 15km 50 second radar. -The carrier itself has a very vulnerable citadel, but the ship would be 2 pixels tall so you cant actually shoot it *cough* petro -Or it would have a very vulnerable citadel that's sloped inwards at a 45° angle making it impossible to citadel at anything other than point-blank range *Rough cough* kremlin I'm being sarcastic, russian bias is a meme, and I'm not expecting Russian CVs anytime soon. (sloped kremlin side plating is BS though, always been BS)
-
- Took away 1/4 of its HP years ago when it was one of the, possibly the best T10 cruisers, never got it back. - 30mm plating became common on T10 cruisers and mostly irrelevant with all the 457mm guns in the game. - Zao was all about flanking, that is asking for death by planes now, instead we argue over J-line parking. You can still use it juke shells and farm, but then just play hindenburg, its far better at doing this and can do some other things
-
T4 CV planes can hover over the AA of a T4 surface ship for the entire duration of the match and not lose planes. People complain about T10 CVs getting 3-4 strikes in before the planes go down, well, a Hosho gets 100 strikes in on an Isokaze, the only limiting factor is 20 minutes run out. If you were to set up a match with one well played Hosho against fifteen isokazes, Hosho would win, might take awhile, but its just a matter of time.
