Aaagh ffs, people doing something 1 day because it's new doesn't make it meta. Every non-potato running deadeye on brawlers and tanks is going to need their creditcard in a month to fix the stupid.
-
Yup, the deadeye drama is even more amazing : NOooOO SNIPER SKILL! SNIPING POTATO SINOP GOT 10% MORE ACCURATE. Ok lol nobody cares, sniping potato sinop hasn't landed a shell in 3 weeks. Everyone is suddenly terrified of a 38% winrate Großer Kurfürst sniping, right, he's totally going to break the game with his 10% accuracy buff lmao
-
Couple months from now, everyone will realize : Deadeye is the new survivability expert, the ultimate quintessential potato skill. Unless it's used on ships suitable for "sniping". Does anyone actually believe decent players will sit on the J-line in a sinop because they have deadeye? They won't, morons will, but they were doing it before.
-
Keep your creditcard ready for when you find out this is nonsense

Yes but I was one so I understand them Durrr ship doesn't make easy fires, ship bad Hurrr ship does less automatic damage to random non-critical targets, ship bad WG shouldn't balance their game around people playing poorly I love this rework because it allows for more viable builds, I'm discovering and re-discovering old builds as I go. Yes, the potato charging into 6 ships for no reason other than secondary hits will do less damage, I do not care, he was useless anyway. Yes, the potato sitting in the back sniping with a sinop or a bismarck will land 10% more shells, I do not care, he was useless anyway. I'm confident these changes are positive but it will take time for non-potatoes to find out why. If you want a great example and you have N.Carolina, do an AA/Tank build and get back to mee, she's the ship she was years ago, it's beautiful. She had her play-style neutered by planes for years, now she's back, many more examples like it.
-
Agree, but every viable build will have both SE and SI. I can't think of a halland build that doesn't have both
-
Stupid skills don't lead to stupid meta, stupid people leads to stupid meta. All these people playing brawlers and tanks in the back for deadeye are retarded, that's not wargaming's fault. Couple weeks from now you'll love the rework, because only the biggest potatoes will still sit in the back, as they always have. Non-potatoes get a lot more viable builds to mess around with, you're missing out if you're not doing it. WG can improve their game, they did, massively so, they cannot improve people's brain. This rework is unironically great, they gave potatoes deadeye, they gave everyone else options for viable builds.

When/where is the funeral so I can vandalize the grave.

You have an incentive, win games. My last game before logging off yesterday was sinop, my flank was 3v6, our other flank was 9v6. I tanked 6 ships in my sinop for several minutes, I knew I would die and I wouldn't top the scoreboard, but I also knew I would survive pretty long and probably win because - I bought the 2 cruisers on my flank time to escape and do a ton of damage while they escaped - I bought the rest of my team time to win their 9v6 and take absolute map control Would I have done more damage kiting away and "sniping"? Probably Would I have won? Hell no
-
If your opponent is farming HE from 20km in a hindenburg, you're very lucky he's too dumb to figure out that ship pumps out 600.000 AP DPS and 16 torpedoes per minute.
-
If people are still using deadeye to snipe with brawlers and tanks 1 month from now, I do actually wish that. You get 4 weeks to figure out this is retarded, the price for being retarded is 750 doubloons per ship, I think that's a fair price.
-
Implying they were ever anything other than meme or potato builds.
-
I'm even seeing deadeye potato sniping sinop at T7, sniping, in a goddamn sinop lmao. A month from now they're all going to spend 750 doubloons wishing they did this instead, I can't wait for the REEEEEEEE topics Oh please lord jesus almighty in heaven, make it february 21st soon.
-
I can't wait for everyone who went with Deadeye on ships that have no business "sniping" to cry about their own stupid choices and the 750 doubloons to fix it. I'm almost drooling at the thought
-
I can see why thunderers and slavas would actually continue using this skill, but what we're seeing now, loads of BBs using it, I simply don't see this lasting.
-
You're confusing NC with her premium sister ship Massa, the actual overpowered T8 BB. NC was a classic because - Excellent accuracy, difficult to land shots but rewards good aim - Excellent concealment, you could sneak up on people - Excellent AA, carriers didn't want to come near you NC kept her accuracy but lost her ability to shred planes and consequently her ability to sneak up on people. Going with a tank/AA build, not deadeye, restores NC to her former self. Many people here need more time with the rework to find the good things in it, there are plenty. Several ships who had their playstyle neutered by planes got their old playstyle back, because they now have the option of actually murdering planes again. The rework has potential, it won't take long for (buffed!) cv's to figure out J-line sniping battleships are where they should now look for damage. What I hope we will see, what I think we will see eventually, is everyone who isn't a sniper realizing AA builds are viable again and carriers going after snipers. Played all day yesterday with some friends, all full AA builds, we made carriers cry, the carrier constantly went for sniping potatoes instead. It's already happening, and it's a good thing. Hell, I might even appreciate CVs in the future because it's very likely most of them will go after players named XxSNiperBizmark420Xx sitting in J10. Picture of actually good NC build

Best khaba build is not playing it because it's the worst light cruiser in the game. The ship is literally a smolensk that had its torpedoes and 2/3rds of its guns removed, why would you play it.
-
You need both, build in this order : PM LS SE CE AR SI MBAAS + 2pt on whatever you want
-
Everyone should, not taking it was stupid before, it's double stupid now, most powerful skill in the game for every ship in the game. "Planes are bad, I hate planes, but I also can't be bothered to grind for the solution so I'll just complain instead" You want a hot body? You want a Bugatti? You want a Maserati? You better work [edited] You want a Lamborghini? Sippin' martinis? Look hot in a bikini? You better work [edited] - Britney Spears

Unique commanders skills not considered in rework?
COPlUM replied to Shagulon's topic in General Discussion
Sure, you were saying john doe's enhanced skills must be bad because they are 1 point skills, i'm saying this is a weird way of looking at it. The -75% shell switching is an incredibly powerful skill because it allows even battleships and heavy cruisers to switch to HE in seconds for slapping DD's, or switch to AP in seconds if you were shooting HE and see an opportunity. Say you're playing Alaska, you spend 90% of your time in that ship shooting AP, if you catch a DD in your radar, john doe lets you switch to HE in 3 seconds. That DD is now very dead. -

John Doe's skills are no-brainers on every battleship and every cruiser. -
Proof WG did this rework for profit not balance.

Non issue Want to whale? You can recover 100% Don't want to whale? You can recover 25% Before 0.10.0 you could recover nothing and your selection of captains was a mess. -
For 5 skillpoints (AR doesn't count, you take it anyway) You get 45% better AA on every BB : 10% from AAGunner + 25% from EAAM + avg 10% from AR For 6 skillpoints (AR doesn't count, you take it anyway) You get 55% better AA on every CA : 20% from AAGunner + 25% from EAAM + avg 10% from AR Many complain about CVs, I complain about CVs, but you lose the right to complain about CVs if you don't buff your AA by 45%-55% for 5-6 skillpoints I've been messing around with full AA builds on many ships, they are viable again, so use them if you hate planes, it's not difficult, the option is there. People gave up even trying to shoot down planes years ago, but with these AA builds (and picking DefAA instead of Hydro for the first time in years) it actually works. AA does not work is what everyone said forever, it was true, AA didn't work, so people didn't even try to shoot down planes anymore. Now you actually can shoot down planes if you invest skillpoints and use sectors.
-
I went with full AA builds on 75% of my ships. Optimal? No. I'm spending all my skills to counter 1 ship. Don't care. And I unironically rate the rework as 10/10 wonderful for giving me the option to do this. I see most people going with the deadeye sniper stuff but I'm not doing that, I find sniping boring and getting rekt by planes is cringe. Rework did what I hoped it would, give options.
-
Yes, useless skills such as "planes take 25% less damage" and "torpedoes ignore torpedo belts" - Useless indeed. I wish it was a nerf to CVs because that's what this game needs, but it isn't and your post is trash.
