This is a pommern deadeye rangemod division, this is not wargaming's fault, this is nature being her usual cruel self when handing out braincells at birth. Deadeye is a solid pick on some ships, if you have good aim and if you can consistently position yourself just outside concealment range. The extra 1,5 heals is a better pick on some ships, if you have bad aim or if your positioning is bad. Like if you're running deadeye on a massachusetts, you are an idiot, I'm sorry, you paid $50 for what is effectively a crappy north carolina. -

The deadeye skill itself is not the issue, it's the response. Good player : My accuracy when shooting just outside concealment range is buffed, this buff is probably worth having one and a half less heals on some ships, I will play as I always did. Bad player : MUST MAKE USE OF THE 10% DISPERSION BUFF AT ALL COST MUST TAKE DEADEYE ON VLADIVOSTOK MUST GIVE UP ALL MAP CONTROL MUST BUILD DEADEYE RANGEMOD POMMERN MUST LET EVEN A LIGHT CRUISER PUSH ME AND FOUR OTHER BBS OUT OF POSITION SO DEADEYE WORKS MUST HUMP THE BORDER LIKE IT'S JENNIFER LAWRENCE'S LEG -

Is deadeye really this strong, or is it the perception of its strength that changed the meta following the rework?

Its not that good, some math wiz on reddit ran the numbers, if you are sitting at 20km, you have the dispersion you would have had at 17,6km. If you are sitting at 12km, you have the dispersion you would have had at 10,5km. It's a good skill for good players because they don't miss, bad players will actually do less damage with deadeye because bad dispersion is the reason they were getting good hits. If you use the skill and sit further back, it does nothing, your behaviour is cancelling out the effect. If you shoot from just outside your concealment range, it's a nice buff. -

People are doing this to themselves, like look at this guy, thats a georgia. He spawned, did a U turn to J10, sailed along the J line to J1, turned around, sailed along the J line back to J10. Just sailing along the border waiting for his spotter plane to come up so he can shoot something. This is not wargamings fault, people are doing this to themselves. I would unironically blow my brains out if I played the game like this

Its not difficult, you need 17 points for a decent DD captain : Preventive maintenance + Last stand + Survivability expert + concealment expert + adrenaline rush + radio location. The other 4 points is personal preference and flavor. -

Its not difficult Reload bad because ship comes with magical shells that do AP levels of damage from any angle on any part of any target. Concealment bad because ship comes with invisibility potion. Also you one-shot DDs

I fail to see the problem with dockyard, I like them. > Want to spend money? Get an average premium at a big discount. > Don't want to spend money? Get a ton of freebies. If they would put an overpowered premium in there, everyone would get it and people would complain about seeing the ship too much. None of the dockyard ships are bad premiums, they just aren't very good either. Like for a kid with less disposable income, they can get a real premium for $10 or whatever, they probably care far less about what's meta and why. Also collectors, some people just buy all the ships lol

Im sure they have tools to see everyone and their mom is sitting on the J line with deadeye, game developers make money selling fun, this is not fun, I expect deadeye to be changed because this cant be what they wanted. They said the new skills were subject to change

Don't decide these things based on skills currently not doing what it says, that's obviously going to get fixed. A skill that's supposed to add 5% DPM isn't going to add 22% or whatever it is for long. -

If you play thunderer up close and use its fast rudder shift to bounce shells as described in the video, it's a crappy ohio. Obviously if you sit back Thunderer is the best, no contest. -
1) 18th of february 2) I wouldn't pic related works wonders on georgia, add module for +20% secondary range to get it up to 9,5km - this is more than enough secondaries don't do anything at 12km anyway

Why do people keep talking about Thunderer, it's a dumb HE spamming battleship, there's way too many of them in play so it's being removed. It's not even that good, if you want to be useless and rack up 100K fire damage, conqueror does it, has superheal and 50% more guns which more than makes up for less accuracy. Could get Thunderer right now, not interested, dumb ship. For the few people playing Thunderer like a proper battleship, good for them, but they're just in a really crappy ohio. The only times Thunderer bothers me is if two of them division up with a CV to burn you to death in your spawn, that's disgusting, but thankfully, it's also very uncommon, probably because it's boring. -
If I had to pick a worst T10 BB, I'd say slava too. It's a god at murdering potatoes, but you murder them with any other BB too, in slava you just murder them harder, not very useful. Meanwhile it can't tank, at all.

-Almost none can, like at T10 you can bounce 406 with your sides but you still get overmatched in the face, nobody even plays 406 BBs anymore, it's all 457 (for this reason) -At mid tiers every battleship that people actually play (again, for this reason) overmatches every pixel of every cruiser. -You have to drop down all the way to T5 to find a cruiser (furutaka) than can bounce some BB shells at its tier, but even then it's just with some parts of the ship. -Angling in a cruiser just is not a thing anymore, every BB that people actually play can overmatch and devastate any cruiser from any angle and any distance. -The solution is to play cruisers with smoke & cruisers with "bad" shell arcs (which are actually good shell arcs) that do well tucked behind islands, open water cruisers are dumb, you can dodge perfectly but BB dispersion RNG will make one shell wander off into your citadel eventually, there's no skill involved, just luck. -If wargaming insists that every battleship should devastate every cruiser randomly from any angle and any distance, play cruisers that don't get shot in the first place, don't submit yourself to RNG in a PVP environment. Cruisers that depend on dodging to stay alive are subject to RNG by design.
