    ITA BBs appear balanced around having sap, as they should, sap applies ap damage with the same ease and consistency as HE, it's actually pretty damn scary at T8/T9/T10. But at lower tiers, SAP isn't nearly as good, yet the ships are still paying for their SAP with meh reload, meh damage against DDs and meh many other things. It's not the first line that's kinda bad low tier and becomes good high tier. American BBs are a bunch of pigs you play until you get N.C, French DDs are mostly pointless CV food until you get to high tier. I guess it's another line that only really opens up at later tiers. Watching them perform, I am glad they were handing out the low tier ones for free so I can skip straight to T8, that one actually looks decent.

    That is not true and I will prove it to you. I thought this too, my stats were identical to yours 9 months ago with exactly the same amount of battles played, I was probably even worse. The issue you are having, the issue I was having and the issue every potato has is you keep doing the same thing over and over and/or blaming your team. Blaming your team makes no sense, the average winrate is 50%, therefor over thousands of games the average winrate of your teammates and your opponents is always 50%. You have to play with the mindset that both teams have a 50% chance of winning, because it might be 40%/60% in your current match, statistically it's going to be 60%/40% in your next match. On average -stats are a collection of averages- the only differentiating factor is how well you play. You can improve yourself not by spamming games but by taking a break and learning game mechanics, really learn them, don't just watch 3 unicum replays and try to copy what he does, study the game. Every single guy with purple stats took his/her time to study the game. I did this 9 months ago and give purple stats guys a real run for their money now. Also change your mindset when you play, if you want to increase your winrate, you should only have one thing on your mind, every 5 seconds ingame you update your brain and think "What do I do now to increase my chance of winning" If you do the math and realize you can win by running out the clock, run, hide, run out the clock. Stop thinking about what you need to do to get more xp, or credits, or damage, always think what you need to do to win, if that means you smoke someone up and spot for them, you do it, even if it means the other guy gets the damage done and you don't. Bigger damage numbers, xp and credits are a side-effect of winning, not the other way around. There's plenty of time to farm out a battleship at the end of a round to pad your damage numbers after you secured a win. Your progress over 9 months - Stagnant, you're actually getting worse My progress over 9 months - Going up like a rocket Have you memorized armor schemes? Have you memorized penetration values of all shells? Do you know exactly where the citadel is on all ships so you know where to shoot? Have you memorized at what distances you can be greedy and go for devastating strikes and at what distances being greedy would result in 0 damage and you would have done much more going for the upper belt or HE? If you answered no to any of these questions, you have not done what it takes to git gud -& you can't expect to git gud. A very simple thing you can do to help you git gud is install matchmaking monitor and use it in two ways 1) Let it calm you down, after a few days you will see that you get the best team just as often as you get the bad team. 2) Find out who the highest win rate player on your team is and watch him play after you die. Stop looking for excuses in the matchmaker, you'll end up with 45% winrate and twenty thousand battles played, then it really is too late to do anything about your stats and you'll hide them like everyone else with 45% and 20K games. Your stats will go up hard too if you study game mechanics and change your mindset from "muh matchmaker no fair" to "what do I do to win"

    Last time you could get funny looking T8 perma camos, I salty I missed out on that. I want funny looking perma camos for various tech tree ships. Wargaming, why won't you sell me funny looking perma camos? Not just T8s, let me buy them for any tier. You don't even need to make them, you already made them, sell them to me. Thanks

Ohio gets burned to death from 27km by thunderer -which should have never made it into the game in that state and is the dumbest thing to have made it into the game in five years, including carriers- But every BB suffers from 27km Thunderer HE spam, it's not unique to Ohio in any way, it got worse since the rework for everyone, not just Ohio. Ohio is powerful and fun, it does reasonably well in games where you can't push -because thunderer won't let anyone push- It does very well in games where you can push -for obvious reasons- A very nice way to play it is go on the weak flank and hold off a big push, I haven't experienced any BB ship that can delay an enemy push this well, maybe Kremlin. Siegfried is unique because it's the only ship that lets you sneak true battleship guns into a match taking up a cruiser slot but I wouldn't say it's better than Alaska, 380mm vs 305mm obviously means you're going to get bigger hits when you hit, but you'll also see more overpens than with alaska, more bounces because no improved pen angles and honestly getting the occasional citadel hit for 11K, Alaska doesn't even need that, you get so many regular pens with alaska you slap for 11K too, and you can do it reliably. Alaska doesn't need a citadel hit to slap just as hard. I'd go with Ohio over siegfried, especially if you already have Agir and Alaska for T9 supercruisers.

    Not everything in warships is overpriced but some stuff is so overpriced I wonder who the target audience could be. I have more money than I could spend in a lifetime and even I look at a $70 premium ship or $150 early access to a free ship and am incredibly confused. My hobby is collecting oldtimers and I can't justify some of wargaming's prices, if I won't buy at these prices, who the fvck does?

    Why more Americans? Alaska, Georgia and Ohio are some of the best ships in the game and they were obtainable for free for 2 years, Ohio still is. Massa is OP at T8 and with deadeye removal she's going to be OP again in a few weeks. I'd say it's time for other nations to get some good stuff and some good freemium stuff.

At some point you have no need for credits anymore, for me that point came very soon because I do small fleet, once you reach that point, trading credits for elite xp this way effectively doubles how fast you farm elite xp, I think it's pretty great. At the end of an evening playing I trade 15 million or whatever credits for 150K extra elite xp, captains are going from 19 to 21 pretty quick this way.
  12. Super expensive in the old system. But even if you don't want it, someone might want it, unlike these 13 useless DD skills. If vigilance was a 2 point DD skill I would take it on a DD with 2 remaining points because the alternatives are a waste of energy clicking on them
  13. We can't, there is no time to adjust, we are still trying to imagine a world in which destroyers could take the brand new super overpowered battleship-only vigilance skill. As you said, it's overwhelming, unspeakable things would happen if destroyers could wield the power of vigilance (which they totally couldn't until 5 weeks ago true story) I'm done laughing at you now. WG please add vigilance in the one skilltree where it could actually be useful, plenty of useless 1pt and 2pt skills to swap out, you'd be fixing two problems with one small change.

    Of course it's a coincidence, you pay attention to bad things, it's confirmation bias. I don't play CVs but I'm sure if I did I would notice Hallands wrecking my planes and forget about the shimakazes I dropped for 10K without them even tickling a plane.

    I made it 5 games before I got bored, I won 3 though so my winrate in CVs will forever be 60%, not too shabby, not too shabby indeed.
  19. Ehhhh not sure about that. I don't like Spee but I do think she's powerful. Asashio is obvious, it makes battleships cry, can't have that. Everything else is on Yurra's list of OP ships, tends to be a pretty damn accurate list.

    Ship removals

    Premiums get removed if they are good and too popular (usually both) - the reason why is irrelevant. In this case yes, it became very popular very quickly because they handed out a very good T6 for free so many people play it. If anything, this makes wargaming look good, they gave away a very good premium for free, this is generous. They followed up by removing it, this is consistent. I don't see what's weird or a joke.

  23. -Your perspective is I want to make big boi damage number appear on my screen in random battles, I don't care about the battleships behind me eating torpedoes (or winning) -His perspective is we're trying to win hurricane league, the more torps I spot the less torps my teammates eat (which should be the mindset in random battles too but obviously is not) It's actually sad to read this, people are so used to random battles being a stupid every-man-for-himself FARM FARM FARM game mode that they don't even know spotting torpedoes is something a DD does. No wonder the level of play is depressing in randoms
