To be fair can wargaming really anticipate 40% winrate players would spam 1.500 games per season to fail their way into gold? You can't really factor in crazy people when you design something. I actually like the idea behind the new ranked system, different leagues, different tiers, they just need to come up with tweaks so good players find gold worth their time and horrible players can't fail their way up there by spamming. Increase the rewards and get rid of safe ranks, can't fail your way up without safe ranks.

I got along reasonably well with smoke neptune, radar neptune is suicide though. Now imagine what it's like playing Albemarle, a neptune hull without smoke or radar or dpm Just a naked neptune hull with no utility and a "superheal" that doesn't even work because every shell you eat is a citadel. I swear Albemarle is a human experiment, WG is recording you when you play it, for science, just to see how you react.

Yeah 2021 was better than 2020, but I don't feel like I should be looking at my overall WR for this purpose, I was a 43% potato until last summer. I started improving dramatically since I came back to the game late summer-autumn 2020, six months with 55%-58% WR . Dragged myself up from 43 overall to 51-52 overall, improving like that just stopped recently, and I don't feel like it's my personal performance, I'm also not playing tilted or playing ships I don't like, numbers indicate I'm not doing anything different. The only thing that stopped going up and even started dropping a bit for the first time in six months is winrate. This month I'm down about 8 percentage points compared to the last 6 months, I know 50% and change is what I have overall but I haven't been playing like a 50% player in a long time so I don't feel it's relevant, my worst month was december with 55. I could go beat people up in T5-T6 to get back on track but I never do that, shouldn't have to do it now. *edit : Is there any way to see what ships i've been playing lately? To check if maybe that has something to do with it, I remember struggling really bad in Kagero but I can't remember what other ships i've been playing last couple weeks.

Where are you seeing that and what do you mean by usual, I don't care how I'm doing compared to when I was a 43% potato my first 2500 games. I went from six months with 55-58% WR (november-march) down to 50% in recent weeks, with all my other stats going up as usual. And these websites don't see what I'm seeing on wows monitor, teams I'm getting is terrible. I'm often here saying calm down, on average it's fair, I still think it is but at times matchmaker just punches you in the gut for days or weeks.

I can't do it anymore, matchmaker has broken me, this has been going on for weeks now, it's relentless, it does not stop, it's never going to stop. I know it's random but if I randomly end up on the bad team for a month at this point, it's time for me to realize the random matchmaker just doesn't like me anymore. Putting all the good players on one team isn't enough, you have to give them 100% of the radar too in a 9v9 with 10 destroyers in the match. Why can't you find 24 people to play the game at 20h45 in the evening anyway? Why am I seeing 9v9 games at 20h30? That stuff used to happen at 5 in the morning.

I support coal CVs, I wish premium CVs would sell for 500 doubloons too, bad CV players is the only way to balance those broken things.

Best T8 radar cruiser imo is baltimore, but I also think it's straight up the best T8 cruiser overall. Until they release the T8 Alaska "congres" anyway. But for zoning out and/or killing DDs specifically, Chapayev does that better, more range on the radar and railguns. They're very different, chapayev you want to focus on killing the enemy DD early because you're really stonking good at it and then back up to play a long range spammer, Baltimore is a constant threat to DDs and CAs in that short/mid-range lurking around islands and stuff. They're both very good, as you can see in your poll results, but I like baltimore more. It's harder to play baltimore right though, Chapayev is easier.

I wanted to get in gold, not for the extra 200 doubloons, but because I figured it would have higher quality play. I did not anticipate that safe ranks allows for horrible players to spam thousands of games and fail their way into gold eventually, nor did I anticipate that so many people would be willing to potato thousands of times for 200 extra doubloons. Now I just stay in Silver, ranking out in silver is easy, 600 doubloons for one evening of playing Alaska is a good deal, I got 20 wins and 2 losses last time. I feel like 200 extra doubloons in silver is worth the small extra effort compared to bronze. The extra effort for another 200 doubloons in gold is not worth it. I really thought/hoped that horrible players with thousands of games to fail their way into gold was exaggerated but it's not, that's actually what gold is. I decided to not bother with it anymore after seeing a no-camo shima on my team with 1.370 ranked games this season, all he did was yolo into 3 radar cruisers and die. He did this 1.370 times with 5 different T10 destroyers because he has to shuffle between ships to spam games fast and hope his team wins 6v7, like that's his strategy for ranking out. I just do not want to be a part of that. I even asked why he's doing this in T10 DDs, if he does it in T10 CAs his "team" has a better chance of winning 6v7, he told me suiciding in DDs is much faster.

Fair enough but I do remember years ago people made jokes about "battleship hindenburg" because it was tanky. It's not tanky anymore, you just eat omegalul 457mm citadels in it from all angles. They turned it into a zao with more hp and worse concealment kinda. I said what I said because if you're going to claim des moines is supposed to be tanky and is not, same is even more true for hindenburg, the entire point of that ship is being tanky and just like Des Moines, it is not, not anymore. I don't even think Hindy is in a bad place, she's just completely different from what she was supposed to be, her armor got powercrept to the point where she basically has no armor and her reload kept getting buffed to the point where she is now a spammer.

Unpopular opinion upon giving this some second thought : You get a month of premium for playing storm league every 2 months and 800 doubloons for playing ranked every 2 weeks - If there was no "doubloon sink" you could technically become and remain premium for free. You can throw rocks at me now but it's kinda true

Would make more sense on hindy, she's a fat pig without utility that's spotted from the moon in exchange for being tanky, something she no longer is. She's also tied with zao for the worst performing T10 cruiser, Des Moines comes in as the second best performer.

Yes if you show up to WG HQ with a crew you can sail your ships from Cyprus to wherever you want. I recently took my Ohio out for a spin attacking cargo ships in the mediterranean sea.

Just ignore karma, it doesn't mean anything, I just got reported 3 times in one game for wrecking them in a 3K base xp akizuki game. There's a mod that hides it so you can't even see it. As long as pepegas can report you for killing them, karma is meaningless.

This herp derp pepega topic again? Ok - We will give destroyers battleship concealment, but your battleship gets 130mm guns 19mm of armor and 15K HP. Or give destroyers 457mm guns, 500mm armor belts and 100K HP.
