    Ran out of dubs and premium runs out in 12 hours, I just spent 20 minutes hard-spotted and getting pinged by an 84% WR Balao (400 games) - I hope this new addition to the game is worth it because starting today I'm free to play. Never spending money on this game again. I'll probably keep playing it but jesus christ you're never getting my money again.

  3. All appropriate buffs and nerfs, except for probably tallinn, i don't think tallinn was weak. And the buff for PA DDs might be a bit too much, let's find out. It looks like they might go from poop tier to amazing tier.

    There is a meanginful conclusion to be drawn from people quitting, playing ranked exclusively or sealclubbing in T4 : Submarines are broken. This conclusion appears to be drawn as patch 11.4 is effectively a "oops, sorry, we are nerfing these things" patch

    I like how even when they surface within their detection range and you shoot them, they still win. Because you shot them, if you're lucky you do 500 damage before they dive, if you're unlucky they're under water by the time your shells land, either way, you shot your guns, so you're now screwed, everyone on the map has you hard spotted for 30 seconds because you shot your guns, you eat 2 million shells because you tried doing 500 damage to the submarine. The correct play is never shoot them Just let them permaspot you for 20 minutes, that is the correct play. You must let them farm and permaspot you and do nothing in return, even when you have the opportunity to shoot them, shooting them makes things worse for you. Submarines don't even need to attack you to kill you, they just need to come near you, surface, submerge, surface, submerge, rinse repeat, you either eat a ton of damage because they spot you, or you eat a metric shlt ton of damage because you made the mistake of shooting a submarine. Either way, they don't need to do anything but surface and submerge near you repeatedly to kill you. No torpedoes required. Wargaming could remove torpedoes from submarines entirely and they would still be overpowered.

    Submarines and CVs annoy people for the same reason. Both CVs and submarines are playing a single player minigame detached from the match. WG gave us some tools to pretend/feel like we can do something about it, like priority sector or fighter planes, but it's not real, it doesn't actually do anything, it's just something you get to make it easier to cope with the fact that another player decided it is "your turn" to die and there's nothing you can do about it. The cope-tools against submarines are also less well developed, so while you will never be able to effectively counter them, currently you can't even pretend like you're countering them. We need better cope tools.

    Not saying it's a good ship, I don't know, don't have it, but know people who play it, Tulsa is a smaller target, more agile, better angles, and can apply 2/3 of its guns bow-in instead of 2/4. People I know who play it prefer it over Buffalo

It's sad they did not just surface in front of your face and shotgun you, surface within 2km of you to make you mald extra hard, because if they surface within 2km to shotgun you, you can't even do your cope 800 air strike damage while you go back to port. I love submarines that shotgun you within 2km because they are clearly doing it to make you cope and seethe extra hard. I can appreciate that, playing a video game to make others cope and seethe is based.
  10. It's still better than the regular depth charges which effectively do nothing but waste a button on your keyboard, I spent 9 minutes directly on top of this gentleman and got 2 hits for 800dmg. With air strikes I will continue trying to hit them, with regular depth charges I won't even try anymore, it's a waste of time.

    Pommern because it's different from any other ship I have and I don't have many battleships. Getting Slava for the same reason. Neither are particularly good, but at this point I get ships for being different, I got all the ships I consider good.

    Play ranked, sealclub in T4 if you can't/won't play ranked or just play something else until 11.4 when subs will be nerfed to a less comical state. We've been here before, I remember a patch where damage to planes was spread evenly across the squadron, so the carrier effectively never lost a plane, you could get farmed out by CVs in a minotaur and have 0 planes shot down. Most people just played something else for awhile.

    I spent 9 minutes directly on top of this one to do a grand total of 800 dmg to it with depth charges, I was streaming and people were laughing so much they cried. Two years of testing by the way. Just remove depth charges from the game if air-dropped ones are the only ones that actually work. I would literally rather not have the depth charges so I cant be baited into trying to use them, its a waste of a button on my keyboard.

This is fascinating, they are too stupid to do damage to you, so they waste 20 minutes of your time, you do not have the tools to do damage to them, because wargaming does not want you to, so you can't damage them either. This is about as fun as watching paint dry while eating glass and watching a video of your dog dying on repeat.

    I typically find Pete too unwilling to see/acknowledge problems but he's entirely correct here, there is not a single problem with this match. They had more radar, you had way more dpm and tankier ships. Also divisions work both ways, good players can supercharge their winrate, bad players will crush their winrate even lower than they would on their own. Two guys in that A div on the enemy team are below average solo and pathetic in division, because that's what happens when you put 2 bad players together, they become superbad. Just like how 2 good players become supergood. Division does not necessarily mean good/scary, it could also mean the enemy team is screwed. And there's a topic for this, why make your own.

    Submarines in patch 11.3 will always go down as the most moronic thing in warships I have ever seen. This person just crushed me, my entire team and my 3 man division in a T10 game. He has literally never killed a human player in world of warships, only bots in T4. Now he is dominating T10 because he watched a flamu video on how to be submerged and surfaced simultaneously. It's not just imbalanced, it's humiliating, this guy has never, will never and would have never killed a human player in this game were it not for this bug, now he is god. He's never even played T8 or higher but he's crushing T10 Just for perspective, this guy went from killing bots in T4 seven thousand times, to slaughtering entire teams in T10. That's how powerful submarines are if played correctly.

    I have seen 17% gap in WR between teams, if the gap is large, I still don't rage or suicide, what I will do though, if the WR gap is immense, is play to farm, not to win. But that's all I do and only if the WR gap is hilarious. Games like that don't annoy me at all, I see them as an opportunity to work on my PR and DMG instead.

    I agree with you there, but that does not make the mod bad, just some (most?) people can't handle it. To use it wisely you need to A- Understand that on average matchmaker is fair, over thousands of games the average winrate of your teammates is 48 (49?) B- Use it to make better decisions ingame C- Never use it to rip on people for being bad If you use the mod and all it does is make you rage, uninstall it. If you use it to make better tactical choices, keep it.

    It is only toxic if you are toxic and/or immature. If you accept that on average you will have the pepega team just as often as you have the better team, monitor is useful. It lets you know if the enemy CV is red, you have more freedom, if the radar cruiser behind you is red, you have to play as if there is no radar on your side, he wont use it, if the DD in front of you is red, you go in less deep to support him because he will more than likely die fast. Monitor is the best mod for wows, if you are an adult and you can nuance seeing a wall of red on your side sometimes. It is a mod for adults. I have literally never played a game without monitor, and I have never once complained about my team or referenced someone's stats during or after the match. I use it tactically, if the DD in front of me is yellow or green, I will trade some of my HP to help him win his 1v1, if he is red, I will not, because 4K of my cruiser HP is more valuable to the team than him and his ship. If I see a yellow or green cruiser overextended and dying, I'll smoke him up, if I see a red cruiser overextended and dying, I will not, because it's a waste of smoke, he will not understand that I'm saving his life, he will push out of said smoke to continue pushing 7 battleships while he's on fire and on 6K. If you use it to make better and more informed decisions, the mod is a gift. If you use it to rage, the mod is a curse.

    To use monitor correctly, set it to solo stats only, this function was added this year because division stats are entirely irrelevant. But even then, it's not perfect, there are tier 1 unicums. Ideally monitor would show solo winrate and exclude tiers 1-5. I'm sure it will be updated to show exactly this one day.

    I reinstalled monitor because of submarines, whenever I had a 75+%WR enemy sub on my flank, I knew he would be doing the dolphin bug and I'd spend the first 10 minutes of the match sailing to the other side of the map, this way I could at least play the match a little bit.

    They fixed the dolphining bug for 0.11.4 - Now submarines in the hands of someone cheesing should no longer be actual literal gods. Depth charges have 2X larger radius. BBs can airstrike 500M from their ship instead of 2km, so from now on at least when subs surface-shotgun you within 2km, you can do some damage to the submarine while you go back to port. Thank you wargaming.

    All it takes to get 60% winrate in submarines is : Don't submerge unless necessary. Because at that point, your contribution to the match is already higher than most destroyers who tend to die early and who cannot keep other destroyers permanently spotted, you provide your team with permanent vision of the enemy team, all you need to do is drive around randomly but don't submerge. You don't have to hit a single torpedo ever, just sail around surfaced and don't submerge unless you have to. That right there is all you need to do for 60% winrate in these things. Sail around surfaced and don't dive unless you're in trouble, then surface again. If the submarine on the enemy team drives around submerged for no reason, while yours does not, you win. This class made concealment a thing of the past, you're detected for 20 mins, even in a destroyer, there's not a thing you can do about it. The only way out of being permanently spotted is spend the first half of the match switching flanks, which is very poor play but I can't blame people doing it, I do it too, I'll throw games just so I don't have to play against that class, at least this way I get to play the videogame for the second half of the match. Concealment expert and module will become obsolete when people realize they're spotted for 20 minutes every game anyway. It appears the intent behind this class is make concealment a thing of the past.
