Correct, almost negligible. Anything beyond 13 points for a DD (PM+LS+SE+AR+CE) is the cherry on top. Same applies to anything beyond 13 points for most CAs/CLs (GF+PT+AR+SI+CE) And anything beyond 14 points for most BBs (ERE+GREASE+AR+CE+FPE) If your captains are LV13/14 and you think you lost because someone else had a LV20 captain, you're finding excuses for yourself.

    GPU Temps in Port

I think I posted an actual solution to high GPU temps in port in this topic awhile ago but i'm too lazy to find my own post. It 100% works
  4. What you said is accurate and you didn't word it badly, but you're not really reading the replies you're getting. Skill based matchmaking comes with a pretty massive built-in flaw : > Be good player > You don't win more than 50% anyway because you're being matched against other good players only, effectively punished for being good at the game > Be bad player > You win 50% of your games anyway because you're being matched against other bad players only, effectively rewarded for being bad at the game Your proposed solution would also stop working rather quickly, because with a skill based matchmaker, everyone's winrate would become 50%, how would you even know who is good and bad anymore All incentives to improve would be gone, the best players would just straight-up quit because why try so hard to win if the matchmaker will make sure you lose your next round as a result (mathematically) What you're suggesting is basically videogame communism, it doesn't work, things collapse if you take away the incentive structure, everything does. Human beings have an innate tendency to not give a toss about things if there is no correlation between effort and reward, it's in our DNA Also thank you for making a topic that isn't trash, it was very much needed today
  5. What you're seeing is accurate, the team with the best DD players almost always wins, this is also why many good players essentially stopped playing other classes, they want to play other classes but they feel like they can't. The only way they can ensure there's at least one good DD on their team is do it themselves. Many good DD mains only play destroyers solo, they play other classes in divisions and it's a relief for them of sorts, they finally feel like this can play other classes, because one of their friends will do just fine in the destroyer. Your proposed solution, however, is terrible. Because you would effectively be punishing DD players who took the time and effort to git gud, while rewarding DD players who did not. Skill based matchmaking has this very unpleasant effect. What you're seeing is in fact so accurate that, while it is impossible to go under 44% winrate solo in battleships/cruisers, it's possible to dip under 40% in destroyers, the class is simply more decisive in who wins and who loses. The only good solution to this can come from within the community, please don't play destroyers at high tier until you're reasonably good in them in low tier. You're screwing your team so hard if you do this, you're also screwing yourself because if you're bad and you're in a battleship, you'll still win 45'ish% of your games, if you're bad and in a destroyer, you'll win less than 40%'ish% of your games. Ships have an inherent influence on the outcome of the match, it correlates with what you should (generally) prioritize when shooting things : CVs > DDs > Radar cruisers > Battleships > HE Spammers What you're seeing is partially offset by carriers being in the game, one of the few positive things carriers bring to the game in my opinion is some hope of winning for the team with the suicide-dds. Radar cruisers also partially offset this. Presumably this is why weegee implemented planes and radar in the first place. Without carriers and radar cruisers, the game would literally be : Spawn => My DD died => I lost *I added 'almost' as a caveat to make Pete happy. He doesn't like me speaking in absolute terms when there are exceptions

How do you use radio location

It's useful on many ships, you can make an argument for it even on cruisers without radar, if you have no other way to deal with a flanking torpedo-demon, RPF at least lets you know how to angle against the incoming torps so you don't eat more than 1 on the nose. Also applies to when you need to proximity spot a smoked up DD in a pinch. There's 2 point skills that increase your HE fire chance by 1% and people argue the usefulness of RPF...

Matchmaker Discussion Thread & MM Balance

Not necessary, there's 2 kinds of hidden accounts : Mega potatoes and a few mega unicums. Mega potatoes hide for obvious reasons. Mega unicums sometimes hide stats for less obvious reasons : If the enemy fun-police is using monitor, the fun-police will send planes his way ad nauseum. It's a way for CVs to boost their winrate, go after the best players on the enemy team ad nauseum. Some unicums care about winning more than bragging, so they hide their profile, making everyone else think they're a potato, until it's too late. This is rare though, 95% are actual potatoes, probably 99% The method is mostly useless, if you see hidden profile and a hurricane clan tag, you know he's a unicum pretending to be a potato so the CV will leave him alone.

How do you use radio location

This is incorrect, the skill is useful on all DDs. Gunboats obviously to hunt torpedo-boats, but also the other way around. Torpedo-boats can use it to avoid and/or blindfire torpedo gunboat DDs. RPF being used against you is much rarer than you think, only the very best players can triangulate your position this way consistently without putting much thought into it. 95% doesn't know how to do it, 4% knows how to do it but is too busy carrying, 1% knows how to do it and is so good at the game they have time to work this out while carrying.

If you could make up a ship...

A battleship with 8X457mm, the shells would have 63% fire chance but the ship also has the dispersion, agility and concealment of a cruiser, oh and a superheal and defAA. The idea behind this concept is, mathematically, you have a greater than 70% chance of setting 3 fires per salvo. So like, if you're lucky, you get 3 fires per salvo, if you're unlucky you get 2. What do you guys think? Wouldn't this be a wonderful addition to the game? We should release it for coal immediately. I'm sure we won't see five of them on both teams for a year.

He wrote a few paragraphs about how embracing Buddhism and taking drugs can make you see the real truth about world of warships, or something. I don't think this specimen says a lot of things you're supposed to be able to "follow" in the sense that you or I could. He made a forum about world of warships where he posts things and debates with himself. Like you can actually watch this guy talking to himself in real time, online.

People aren't replying to your autistic riddles because your english is almost impossible to read and everyone with an IQ over 70 figured out during their first submarine game they win more if they dive less. People are not responding because the things you're saying are so dumb everyone is too confused to reply. You don't spot things if you're submerged, you win less if you don't spot things, literally everyone figured this out during their first submarine game, hell, everyone but you figured this out before playing their first submarine game. You pretending like this is some great uncovered secret knowledge is confusing everyone, so they aren't replying to it. The issue good players have with submarines is related to this, submarines can permanently spot ships that rely on concealment to be effective -thus neutralizing them entirely- and be at 0 risk themselves while doing it. Good submarine players drive around "staring at" unicum DD and CL players to get them killed and ensure hilarious winrate. While doing so, they themselves can't be spotted or damaged in any way. Radar doesn't work, planes don't work, hydro don't work, rushing them don't work, nothing works, the submarine can simply sit there stare at you until you are dead, there is no mechanic in the game that allows you to make him stop staring at you. He can stare at you until you're dead. When he's done with you, he can go to the next good player in a DD or CL and stare at him until he too is dead. While doing this, the submarine is using wows monitor to know exactly who he has to go "stare at" to get 80% winrate. The fact that submarines can spot you and be at 0 risk while doing it, even hypothetically, is what's being abused. They're like immortal yugumos or lightnings driving around the map, you can't radar them, hydro them, push them, rush them, plane spot them, nothing, you can do nothing, you can do zero things about them permanently spotting you. If torpedoes were removed from submarines entirely, making it so they can do 0 damage, unicums would still crack 75% winrate in them because of this. If you paid attention to anything jerks with purple numbers say, you would know that submarines are currently bugged, it is possible to be submerged and surfaced simultaneously, enjoying the benefit of both. The bug allows submarines to spot everyone while being undetectable and immune to all forms of damage. They are literally immortal right now if you play with your rudder while driving around.

The class is underperforming in the hands of bad players and grossly overperforming in the hands of good players. Every time you see a submarine it either has 8K average damage or 80% winrate. One would hope wargaming has the tools to see this and the competence to rectify it.

There is nothing 'historical' about your winrate, it was 40 when you started playing, it's 40 now, its always been 40 and it will always be 40. Do you know why it's 40? Because it's impossible to go under 40. Nobody goes under 40 because there's 11 other ships on your team. There are 0 other factors, none, there is only you, the only factor consistently present in those 12.000 games was you. You played destroyer, the most important class in the game and you died early, twelve thousand times. And you never stopped doing it because you dismiss good players as psychopaths, instead of listening to them. Every bad players who never improves does this, you just piss people off more because you're going out of your way to dismiss good players telling you something and you -of all people- are writing guides and giving lectures. It's not statistically or mathematically possible to be worse than you and you're telling everyone else to shut up and listen to you lol.

There is no solution, there's low skill floor ships with a low skill ceiling, there's high skill floor ships with a high skill ceiling, on average they will perform about the same, this is ok, it's just part of the game. I'm glad goliath is in the game so below average players can put out respectable damage with HE that hits like a truck and a superheal to make sure they don't go straight back to port, I'm glad radar mino is in the game so unicums can carry hard when it's needed. Submarines are currently disliked by good players because when the enemy submarine is played by another good player, there's nothing he/she can do to win, it's unbeatable, there is no counter to it. The mechanics to counter a well played submarine simply aren't implemented yet. The fact that they are currently bugged and can enjoy the benefits of being submerged and surfaced simultaneously makes the situation even worse. Submarines are currently in a weird spot, they are too weak in the hands of bad players and god in the hands of good players. It's entirely sensible that this causes frustration with people who play games to win, something that can't be beaten will be the cause of frustration, it is normal.

The only way to get his winrate in destroyers is straight line speedboost suicide into the cap and explode before the 3rd minute of the match thousands of times, like, you and I could not even screw over our team as hard as this guy if we tried doing it on purpose. What's happening is, sometimes, people on his team are upset, because he just wasted 19 minutes of time for 11 other people. He basically made twelve thousand games a waste of time for 12.000x11 = 132.000 other people. Some of them will call him names, obviously, so he thinks that people who care about winning are crazy people. Over the years, 131.900 people he screwed over (by being on their team) did not respond in any way, 100 probably did because they were in a bad mood. His conclusion from this is not "hey, perhaps, after twelve thousand times, I should stop speedboosting into the cap and exploding in the 2nd minute" his conclusion is : "Everyone who likes winning is a psychopath"

When learning how to play football, presumably, you'd value Ronaldo's opinions over those of your grandma. And yet, for some reason, according to this potato, valueing a unicum's opinion on submarines over his opinion is a quote "human rights violation"
