Thanks for informing me. I honestly had no idea. Point still stands with the swastika though.

    Austria-Hungary?

Surprised you revived this topic. I completely forgot about it.The problem with a line not going all the way to T10 is that the line would feel unfinished. Personally, I like the grind to T10, but you can keep playing earlier ships anyway. AH's problem is the nation died after ww1 and so wouldn't even have many paper ships. Fictional modernisations make sense to me though since most WW1 era ships are in their ww2 configurations. As others later say underwater torps are not on any ships currently. However, on a side note, HMS Rodney has fame for torping Bismarck so should be given that tube if and when it's added as a premium - my views on that are another topic altogether though. See above statement. I wouldn't have a problem with that though. Thanks for the pics. They were a major Mediterranean naval power, so deserve some sort of recognition. I feel AH in general always gets unfairly forgotten about (or at least breezed over) in games, movies and schools alike. See my above statement on fictional modernisations. That way you could probably argue the case of T5/6. Hold your horses. I will be very annoyed if we get AH paper battlecruisers before the RN real ones - which I have been waiting for for god knows how long now. WG haven't really given the UK the respect it deserves in WOWS thus far. AM I the only one strongly adverse to these fictional Pan-... flags. I want commonwealth flags to either be the British Royal Navy Ensign or individual commonwealth nation naval flags. I dislike the Pan-American and Pan-Asian flags - these should be individual nation naval flags. Pan-European will probably end up with the EU flag. It's not much more work to give ships actual historical flags. There is also the Nazi flag. Now Germany has relaxed it's laws on it's use, they should look at swapping out the Bismarck main special camo and flags for the historical ones. It shouldn't offend anyone and it seems silly not to change that now. Germany has clearly realised censoring everything is stupid.

    Fixing radar issue

All stats proves is someone is sad enough to care about them. Never seen my win rate and don't give a crap. I play for fun and almost always carry, unless I want to have fun in a crap ship like Mikasa or Emerald. You really are a piece of crap who can't take criticism. Stop crying over an online thread. Once you have a braincell, come back and maybe we can talk. Until then, enjoy trolling.

Radar: Reducing the number of radar ships to 2 per team/game.

I disagree since it was fine before smokes got heavily nerfed and they added so many new radar ships. Radar needs to evolve into something else, just as smoke has. We're getting more and more better radars and yet we have had: BB's can't fire in smoke anymore, CA's can only fire at long range in smoke, British CL's can't smoke in CQC (which was one of their strong suits) anymore and it seems most people suddenly know how to blind-fire into smoke effectively - not sure why. As well as this, they are introducing RN DD's as a slow line. Radar's are going to crap all over these.

This kind of attitude here just shows how retarded you are. You misinterpret a post and start slinging insults and assumptions left, right and centre. The funny thing is I am probably better than you and certainly have played more games. Was hoping for a debate, not insults from a keyboard warrior. The post is about FUN not SKILL and it is not FUN to deal with so many radars every game, but that doesn't mean I can't do it.

    Fixing radar issue

Whilst it is true new ships get played a lot, these are not brand new anymore and the amount of radar now present is very annoying if you play DD's. It discourages aggressive game-play and the issues will remain whether the line is new or not. It just seems OP to me every US cruiser ship having extremely long radar (with module even longer) with longer range than the torpedoes on most DD's and the radar out-ranges their concealment. That and the annoying levels of HE these pump out whilst hiding behind islands. These are my views on this and if there are so many other threads, it highlights there is an issue and I am voicing my opinion on how to solve that issue - to make the game more fun for everyone. The point is Pan-asians make sacrifices for their radar by giving up smoke and don't have the ridiculous firepower of a US cruiser anyway and US radar is way better than these ones. Limit the number of radar cruisers is what I meant. The why is pretty obvious. WG has released a line which has many issues and I'm offering solutions. If radar is on every ship and is a special module for a select few, nobody has fun. DD's can't push and have to play beyond their max range half the time. These ships are OP so they have to lose something to bring the game back into balance. It might not be the best idea but at least I'm offering solutions to fix a blatant issue. I'd prefer this to the current state of the game tbh. I mean, radar is meant to counter smoke and it's done way more than just countering smoke. Planes. Well I agree, but if someone else is spotting a plane then yeah you would see it. You lost me there. I want a certain level or realism but I'm purely talking about gameplay mechanics here. If a cruiser can hide behind an island, pop radar, spot people 10+km away with mountains between them and get obliterated by the enemy team, how is that fair? How was the DD meant to predict the cruiser? Or was the DD meant to simply play far back and not push at all? Because that's not fun for anyone. Or how about if a cruiser pops radar and a DD tries to retreat and blocks line-of-site, but can sill be spotted and shot over the island or across the map because of the radar. Currently, it seems if a DD gets radar's they can try and dodge and hope the enemy team are bad shots or just give up. Please just don't. You sound like a stupid American (not not all Americans are stupid) and this phrase completely devalues your point. Not everyone has a braincell in this game. If you play it, you should know that. Them being spotted would change the situations in which they are likely willing to use it and make it better at DD or cruiser hunting and worse when used to generally spam or to use as a tool of area denial. Likewise I could say, "remove the radar altogether, it's good enough to know a destroyer is somewhere there". Radar's v smoke was the original intention of the consumable and that's 1 aspect of it I don't want to nerf so much. With limited consumables and a long cool-down short duration, they could only do this so many times. I'm thinking it would give a destroyer a fighting chance to get out alive. Maybe it lasts for 10-15 seconds. The radar has still worked for area denial but the destroyer has a fighting chance to live to fight another day. it's just an idea. Don't you think destroyers have been nerfed a little far? Even Russian radar lasts a long duration with the module you can now get readily from the arsenal. PA radars can probably be exempted. They're not so OP. This post is mostly about the OP nature of US light cruisers. Well, that just highlights a real issue then doesn't it. If lots of people complain about something, it's more likely something will be done.

    Fixing radar issue

Hi all, I think most people will agree that there is too much radar at the moment with the US light cruiser line. I'd like to propose some suggestions and see what people think and hopefully WG will agree. The way I see it is there are several options: 1. Cap the number of radar cruisers allowed in the game to 2. and cap the number of radar ships per division to 1 maybe. 2. Take the US light cruisers back to the drawing board and re-hash the design. Perhaps they get radar replaced with a very good hydro, or no radar at all and find a new gimmick. Maybe give them a long lasting shorter range radar (7-8km or something). 3. Re-hash radar in the game completely, maybe making it shorter duration, only showing people on the min-map (not screen) or making DDs immune to it (or at least detected at a closer range). 4. Re-work radar and aircraft so they need line of site. It is completely ridiculous how a plane or radar sees would when there is no line of site due to an island being in the. Let islands serve ad physical barriers. 5. Maybe let everyone know when a ship uses radar and point him out to everyone as a priority target. Make him spotted for the duration. This would make people actually think about when to use it more. 6. Perhaps equip DDs with a radar blocking/ scrambling consumable so they have a counter -maybe only applies to their ship and not the team - with 2-3 charges with a cooldown. 7. On a separate note, can we also get a buff to low-tier British cruisers detection whilst in smoke. Emerald and below are already quite bad ships. Maybe give Leander the same buff. Thoughts?

    Austria-Hungary?

I figured since Austria-Hungary died after WW1, but Yugoslavia was born from it (and both Austria and Hungary are landlocked), as well as Yugoslavia temporarily inheriting the Austro-Hungarian Navy, the transition is a bit like Russian Empire to USSR in game. Problem is, while I'd love to see these ships, you can't really go past T6 with Battleships, since Yugoslavia didn't really have any BB's (other than AH's old ones) and AH had a rather small comparable navy (most ships are pre-dreadnoughts). Since they started building the Ersatz Monarch class but cancelled it as the war got worse, you can argue that ship up to T6 as I'd imagine it to rival New Mexico and Queen Elizabeth. Just give it a modernised hull - it's a paper ship anyway. Thing is, Ottoman Empire was the poorest superpower by far and their navy was only a match due to the German ships they were sold. You could also give the 4 battlecruisers Britain sold them but never delivered. But all of these ships would sit at T5 or T6 at a push. I believe Portugal was also a weak naval power (possibly just DD's or premiums possible there) and there army fought alongside the British. I'd imagine a similar situation to Poland in game here. Belgium again is a similar story. Small country and negligible naval presence (their navy was founded in 1917). Let's be honest, no one cares about T1 ships and some of them are imaginary anyway (I think). Would be nice for a somewhat interesting T1 though. Perhaps the Yugoslavian Partizankada (Borrowed British Flower class Corvette in WW2) I really don't mind some amount of realistic fantasy to allow the ships to be playable - since there is no game-mode for WW1 ship configuration only. I guess the inclusion of the Greek, etc. ships may be good, but we still have the issue that T7 and up will be fantasy or completely made-up.

    Austria-Hungary?

Just want to pose a question to everyone, including Wargaming. How much would people like to see a Austro-Hungarian battleship tech tree? Obviously this'd probably only go as far as T6 and would probably require made up upgrades as these are WW1 ships (e.g. Armour and AA upgrades). I would say we could have: Austria-Hungary (Battleships) T1 - Zenta class protected cruiser maybe? T2 - Habsburg class T3 - Erzherzog Karl class T4 - Radetzky class T5 - Tegetthoff class T6 - Ersatz Monarch class (Only guns were actually built so is a paper ship) Yugaslavia (Destroyers) T7 - Dubrovnik T8 - Beograd class T9 - ? T10 - ? And I'm lost for T9 and 10, but all of those are paper anyway with the exception of IJN+ USN DDs, Iowa, Yamato and (kind of) Lion, so I'm sure WG can think of something. Thought?

    HMS Rodney

Well...alternative lines is another topic I'd love. Especially (hopefully not AP focused) battlecruisers including those at Jutland and Repulse/Renown, Vanguard (fast battleship) and the draft designs. Would also like to see Prince of Wales with maybe more French style performing guns (small calibre AP) and actual good armour like the KGV class was known for. I think that could get put at T8 too.

    HMS Rodney

Well...it's the only BB ever to torpedo another BB, so it would feel a little unfair to me for it not to have it. Maybe they could be non-rotatable with a long reload. It's a slow ship with, so they'd be fairly situational, but a cool additional tool - a bit like Mutsu's.

    HMS Rodney

Just wanted to throw the question out there about potential addition of HMS Rodney and who would be interested/ does WG have any current plans for this? I feel that it would be great if we could have Rodney with it's historical forward launching torpedoes, scout aircraft, heavy AA armament and perhaps the Warspite style gun system with good AP but poorer HE performance. I reckon this could also be moved to T8 and have more HP, better armour and a smaller citadel in exchange for loss of the Nelson heal. What does everyone else think?

My god this got out of hand, I feel bad for bringing the topic up haha. I don't know if my luck was really bad or it was just bad at first/ been tweaked since by WG, but it seems to have calmed down now. Day 1 and 2 were awful but after that it seemed to settle down and now seems to be a good change after all. Games on average are better than before. Well done WG.

    Matchmaker Improvements

My point was, since the update, T8 seems have to got worse as a result of the balancing, with more games being more heavily skewed towards T10. And I feel it was an unintended side effect. What was really frustrating me was me finding a game within 5 or 10 seconds repeatedly and it being so badly balanced in terms of tier - I wasn't having this issue before the update. Take in mind that I'm not talking balance between teams which is what the update aimed to fix, I'm talking balanced as in the mixture of tiers per team. I feel either more T8's/ T9's need to be in the mix (pre-update MM) are required or T8's should not be in the game at all when the large majority are T10. I might have been very frustrated with the game at the time of posting and was venting my anger as I wasn't having fun in any of my T8 games really. Every other tier seems to be ok/ better maybe. You know what I mean though don't you? If you take a Bismarck or something and are constantly fight Grosser Kurfursts/ Khabarovsks, etc., you don't enjoy yourself. And Unlike before there seem to be less T8/9 ships in the game so you don't actually have many/ any viable targets to fight in a fair fight. Balancing the skill of players is a whole other issue and many multiplayer games have this issue. Perhaps MM could look at the amount of time the player has had the game and match the teams (where possible) to that? But that opens a whole new can of worms since do you favour balancing ship types, ship tiers or skill level? That's my constructive criticism and I really hope you take it onboard as I love this game. Thanks for your time and response.

Dear WG, Please fix MM/ revert it back to it's previous form. You've taken all the fun out of T8 gamepley. I've played around 10 games at T8 today. All of them consist of all 2 T8's, 1 T9 and s the rest T10 on average. It is not fun to play in a T10 game for a T8 every game. A lot of people, myself included dislike T10's long range staleness and were under the impression this update would match you up to equal tiers or +/-1 tier unless it searches for over 3mins. It's taking me seconds to find games which are heavil skewed to T10 every game. Please fix!
