    Look, there's one little thing that's easy to forget when you're 2 years into the game: aiming in WoWs is radically different than aiming in any other shooter. In most shooters aiming is as easy as pointing your crosshair at the enemy. The difference between new and veteran player in aiming is in reaction time and precision. But in WoWs you have to predict where your target will move in 8-10 seconds. (That's quite a long time interval if you ask me.) So a new player can't carry over this skill from any other game and the game itself is not giving him any hints. Even the shell flight time is hidden by default. So the learning process is quite painful and frustrating. A good way to greet the newbie, huh? Also, keep in mind that aiming is so massively outweighs other skills, that if you can't aim properly, you will be devastated regardless of how good you're at manoeuvring and tactics. In my case, i've played 400 battles (mainly cruisers and battleships) before developing this mod (also read guides etc) and still wasn't able to achieve acceptable precision of aiming. I would have dropped the game completely because it was just not enjoyable for me. So before shaming "n00bs" and "scrubs" think about who you will be playing against in a year or two. Bots?

    This mod isn't giving enough advantage to make anyone aim better than an experienced player. It can help a bad player against average one, but it won't help average player against good one. That was my design goal from the start. Any improvements in future iterations will be made with the same goal. Developers already asked me to not publish a bit more "refined" version that i had ready at the time of the initial review. And with new protection system, i won't even be able to make any changes without asking them for a new digital signature.

    Unfortunately no. Not yet at least. I would like to make this possible but don't know how. For now, speed selection is looped so you can use only "i" key if necessary.

    This mod works fine in 0.5.3.2 No. This mod draws its own crosshair that cannot be replaced. And it will not be possible in the future. Other crosshairs have different sizes and will mess up all calculations.

    Just added a small video demonstration in the opening post. Recording an in-combat video will be a bit more difficult. My HDD is in a bad shape so i can't record a full battle. I tried to record some chunks but with limited success. And bots aren't cooperating at all. Okay, tell me, can you easily switch from a ship with good ballistics (New-Mexico) to a ship with bad ballistics (Cleveland) and vice versa? Knowing max speed of a target is not that hard as soon as you figure out the similarities. American and german cruisers have 32.5 knots, japanese cruisers are 35. American battleships 3-7 have 20 etc.

    A word of a known Supertester against a word of Seaman that posts a questionable mod... I'm on a "lighter" side obviously. =) I'll try to record a video but it might be quite confusing. It's not showing what buttons i'm pushing and not explaining why i'm ignoring the scale and shooting 2 marks less than it says and bellow a target. edit: Not on actual heading. What i'm aiming for is a crosshair with vertical scale and "wings" that show the same but for 45 degree course. Like this one But with more calculations under the hood. I don't think it will be game-breaking just because angled ships don't receive nearly as much damage as broadsiding ones. And sailing in a straight line ("on the rail") should be discouraged anyway. I will see myself and show developers when it's done. If it will be game breaking i won't release it. (Actually, devs won't let me do it because mod depends on digital signature.) To be honest, i had a version that takes shell flight time into account and shows just one scale with 20, 30 and 40 marks for speed. But devs said that it's too much automation and it wasn't released to the public.
