I have a Zuiho with updated a6m2 Zero (tier 6). The problem is that ALWAYS when i confront with fighters (wildcat or, rarely, buffalo) of langley, Bogue or indipendence (tier 4-6) i loose every time... ALWAYS (if i attack, defend or escort too) i loose 4 to 0 or 4 to 1-2 (squadron vs squadron)... it's really discouraging ... This, historically, is totally absurd because , as well known, Zero is much superior to wildcat and, infinitevely, to buffalo.... i think there is a problem in the game and report it . Hopefully to solve it.

I'm pretty sure that Historynerd is coming from my own country... When well'see our wonderful ships in the game ? It's really true that our wonderful country counts zero nowadays but... saluti (and i always expect from you an answer for the "bug" of the zero/wildcat).

i am very happy to have pushed for this interesting discussion but: 1) discussion about 30 mm 20 mm and so on are NOT the problem of this topic 2) to colonel pete " tyrendian revealed the secret if you use 2 squadron ...." is ridicolous because Zuhio has only ONE SQUADRON OF 4 FIGHTERS (recheargeable)... 3) mine is NOT only an academic request . I am pretty sure that this is a totally not- hystorical part of the game and zero and wildcat/buffalo had no match but, howewer, is totally unrealistic to LOOSE ALWAYS (0-4 or 1-4 .....). Did others players have experimented the same ? Are there some tactics to improve results? Is reallly a game bug?? 4) thanks to historynerd for his, always fine, comments, in particular i'm appealing him.

great idea . For now i have only reached tier 6 and i can't play in team battle but... see you early! I think we would strongly ask italian ships in the game!! (see my post in the forum) Ciao

Regia Marina (Italian Navy in WW2) without any doubt. Especially very funny could be: Vittorio Veneto (BB, tier 7?), Capitani Romani class (light cruiser , tier 4? or "heavy DD " tier 8-9?) , Garibaldi cruiser (tier 6?) and DDs in general. I think that absence of any italian ship is totally absurd and is a severe handicap for the game.

My greatest desire in game is to play, finally , with II WW italian warships !! Historically, the mediterranean naval war was one of the most interesting and complex and italian ships are among the most advanced of the entire war. However, Many of the defeats in combat were due to: 1) no radar and sonar until 1943 2) the presence of ULTRA that permitted to Royal Navy to have many informations in advance (see Matapan Battle or many episodes in the battle of conwoys 3) no training in night battle (...the US Navy knows something...). 4) the dispersion of gunnery (due to the too much great tolerance in quality ammunitions for factory problems). Some of the guns are instead good or very good (381/50, 152/55,135/45) 120/50 were afflicted instead by too much high muzzle velocity and 203 mm also by a negative single-cull accomodation. I recommend you reading the wonderful text: "le armi delle navi italiane nella seconda guerra mondiale" of Erminio Bagnasco (Ermanno Albertelli Editore, Parma 2007). If italian ships will early inserted in the game, as we and many friends hope, I suggest to developers to improve the historically bad dispersion of fire to allow to play better with this wonderful ships!!

Compliment to admiral Nelson for reply to ChiefblueMeanie. History if written by winners.... We were bad -equipped, without a strong industrial base and the leadership was poor, but italian soldiers were among the best of the world . Do you know Alpini in Russia , Folgore at el-alamein , the incredible mission of naval special forces in Mediterranean or simply the long and exaustyting Battle of Conwoys (85% of supplies arrived to destination with incredible heroic actions)? Instead, now, we are only domestic warriors in front of our computers... Requiescant in pacem .

Thank you: it's really a fantastic site! But when will we see Regia Marina (WW2 Italian Navy ) in the game?? I think that not only this would be a "loyalty" to history, but would increase the beauty and fun of the game! Should we make a public petition?
