    Soviet Cruisers: Early Access

Yeah, more RNG bullcrap than the EU DD event! Exactly what we all wanted... (I mean I'm sure some gambling addicts who haven't passed the denial stage yet are happy with this, as well as WG...) What's the problem with a slightly grindy but fair event where we ALL have a choice to either grind or pay to skip the grind (or a mix of both depending on how much we're ready to pay/grind). Anyway, looks like I'll just login for the daily rewards and call it a day.
  2. Pay attention to the rest of your team to make sure you don't quickly become the only target on the flank you're on. If you see all your teammates either yolo (i.e. die in a few minutes) or run away on your flank, stop shooting to stop being detected, then turn around, and start kiting away. It's always a good idea to not push in too fast early on so you have a chance to retreat if/when things go south. Finding the right balance between being too close to the front and being too far in the back is the key to success in BBs. Also I notice in your screenshot you don't use premium consumables (repair party and damage control party). They cost a significant amount of money but they can really improve your enjoyment of the game by reducing the cooldowns. Unfortunately in these glorious confinement days, if you want to enjoy the game you need to completely forget about win rate. If you get easily tired of the stupidity of your teammates and if you don't enjoy games that finish before you even had the time to do anything meaningful, you better leave the game until the end of the confinement in most countries.

    DD shooting without being detected?

This is correct, it is 20s. When in smoke, line of sight uses the centre point of the ship so if a small part of your ship is outside the smoke, you are still considered as being in the smoke. I'm not sure if this is the same when playing peekaboo behind islands however.

WGC: Log in to Experience It All

Damn, well tough luck. Thanks for looking into it. Much appreciated.

WGC: Log in to Experience It All

Hi @TheWarJaC When I try to install WoW using the WGC I encounter error 2023 as soon as the download starts. Could you kindly let me know what that error means? Note: I'm using the WGC on Linux via Steam's Proton so I don't expect much help from support but if I know what the error means I can maybe find how to solve it myself.

Is there a difference in multipliers af premiums?

If only WG could give us the numbers on this long lasting question once and for all...

Conquer the Stars in Master of Orion!

I'd love that too. The game is Linux compatible but WGC is not! And I much prefer not to clutter my systems with many different launchers. However! My sceptical self suspects WG is using this as another way to push the WGC forward (only a week or so after the announcement of the classic WOW launcher being scrapped in May). It's a similar move to Valve giving Portal for free a couple of years ago to get people to move to Steam. So I'd assume that giving Steam keys away would go against that goal.

Update 0.9.3. European Destroyers: Part 2

A lot of us have this feeling but WG know how much money goes their way and how many players are in the game. Since they continue to introduce crappy elements to the game I can only assume that it works and numbers must be great. Somebody posted earlier a link to a video from Jim Sterling about gamers' boycotts and how they never work because 1) only a minority complains and 2) only a minority of that minority actually acts. The vast majority of players simply don't care much about the game (or any game for that matter). They throw their money at it for some time then move on regardless of the quality of the game and how unethical or sh*tty game mechanics are. The minority that complains is also the one that actually likes the game, cares about it and is less likely to boycott it one way or another since it reduces their enjoyment. Overall, WG are going to push as far as they can. I may be wrong but I believe that as long as they don't push too far so as to create bad press around the game (not just forum anger) then they are on the right track from a business point of view. Steam's recent reviews give WOW a "very positive" feedback so WG seem to still have quite some margin.

Update 0.9.3. European Destroyers: Part 2

Looks like I'm not the only one misunderstanding this. They are only changing the intermediary rewards, not the final one.

Update 0.9.3. European Destroyers: Part 2

Nevermind I'm crap. I actually re-read this properly and realised I had completely misunderstood the whole line. I'm too used to their BS.

Update 0.9.3. European Destroyers: Part 2

Yes I know. It seemed that they had changed the reward however. I misunderstood that part.

Update 0.9.3. European Destroyers: Part 2

Ha so unique upgrade != legendary upgrade I just see they say "consumables" in the sentence indeed. Damn this is confusing.

Update 0.9.3. European Destroyers: Part 2

Wait what? Does it mean that if you haven't finished one of the legendary upgrade mission before the patch you only get credits instead of the upgrade???

    game still crap 2

Agreed with that. The level of play at the moment is trash and if it drives you nuts (I'm not far from it myself) then it will reduce your performance even more. Right now is not a good time to care about your winrate. So I'd recommend to either simply focus on your own performance (regardless of W/R) or simply leave the game until the end of the isolation period when things get back to "normal".
