  1. 80% of all players considers themselves better than average. You might as well ask people to consider that they have made a mistake, rather than blaming whatever comes to mind. Usually they blame teammates, though. Best advice is just to learn to appreciate the taste of salty tears. And perhaps report them for being abusive in chat. Also, aimbots aren't really that useful in this game, or at least when you get to higher skilled gameplay. The time it takes for shells to hit means that it's more about predicting where your opponent turns, rather than relying on an automatic aim.

Standard battle is the new Domination ?

Recently I've gotten a fair mix of them. Used to be mainly Domination.

That's not even remotely bad MM.

Will japanese battleships improve after Myogi?

One, I already had the ARP one (which at the time really was the only one), and two, I wanted to get to T7 fast (because event), which wouldn't be possible if I had to spend the money buying Kongo and equip her as well. I'd add Nagato to that. She doesn't really have better dispersion than Fuso, so at range you'll just hit less, since Fuso has more guns. And at that range you'll probably just overpen anyway, since that's what Nagato does.
  5. I kinda agree with OP. Especially if I'm driving one of the ARP ships, it sounds weird to hear their voices when someone else hits an F key. With the generic national voices it's more acceptable, but still a little weird. Also, I don't think you can call them princesses. You don't know where they come from. You don't know what they are. You don't know where they are going.

Kongo and Fuso are my favourite battleships. Well, ARP Kongou, as I've never actually owned a normal Kongo. Getting past the stock hulls is perhaps the best use of free experience in the game. They can certainly be fun to play (it's a challenge), but don't expect them to live up to the hype at that point.

    afk'rs

The only time I've ever exited a battle while still alive has been when the game crashed (usually at loading, but once or twice during the game), and when I log in again, it goes to the battle automatically. Any automatic punishment system that doesn't take that into account doesn't work.

Do we really need Situational Awereness?

But it took longer than a few seconds.

    disappointed with zao AP

Yeah, I would've tried AP as well. It could work, and if it would, it would be glorious. It's like when you switch to AP with a DD against a CA. The DPM goes through the roof (or more accurately, through the citadel).

Is it worth spotting as a DD?

    We've got a mindreader here.
  12. Premium ammo, extra penetration, usually overpenetrates.

Hatsuharu can probably use it, since she's one of the easiest IJN DD to spot (maybe the easiest). Mutsuki is small enough, though.

Is it worth spotting as a DD?

If you sit in a cap, and you don't spot anything, the enemy is either focusing on the other caps (so go help), or they're trying to see who can get closest to the border without getting their engine depowered. That's what I responded to.
  15. I can't recall having more than two or three bottom tier games in a row. Maybe not even three outside divisions.

Is it worth spotting as a DD?

You can certainly do more than just spot in a DD, so you're not completely useless if you don't spot. And most of the time, once the shelling starts, you don't have to spot very much. It helps for ships that take a lot of damage and try to slink away, or DDs trying to be sneaky, but for larger ships they usually keep themselves spotted. If you've got a carrier, those can help with spotting as well (although they're notoriously unreliable for that, with some exceptions). But if there really isn't anyone else spotting, then that's what you should do.

Is it worth spotting as a DD?

Last time I went CV hunting I got both of them. And Kraken. And two caps. But yeah, overall, don't go hunting for the CVs unless they happen to show up reasonably close and aren't hightailing away from you. Yeah, it's kind of hard. If you're not in a gunboat, or if there are cruisers ready to fire, just spotting other DDs is a great way to reduce threats for your future endeavours into caps and enemy territory, since for as much as people complain that everyone's shooting at the wrong targets, DDs are usually fired upon if seen.

enough with the cyclones. they suck.

That's a great argument for cyclones. Giving more chances to the losing team is far preferable over an unstable equilibrium, which just snowballs matches into curbstomps. Give me close battles over easy wins any day.

Why are you trying to tell me how two of my ships perform the way I play them?

What Were Your Greatest Gaming Achievements Today ?

I forgot to take any screenshots, but I finally had a good game in Kirov after the patch, with kills, citadels, and damage to go around. That gave me enough experience to buy Budyonny. First thing that happens is the all three DDs (Minekaze division) go east (Two Brothers, south team, standard battle). Well, they said they were going to work as a team, and that they did. Pushed well and good around the eastern flank, and capped. Meanwhile, I stayed at the western flank, and scored myself four kills and a Double Strike before dying when the enemy realised my awesomeness. Not bad for a first match in a new ship. Also managed to get teamkilled for the third day in a row. Idiot Shimakaze tried to torp a Fubuki I was charging at in my Fletcher.
  21. Doesn't it do that already?

    Current sweetspot?

My stats in Kagero and Hatsuharu are better than in Fubuki... They're not nearly as bad as a lot of people claim. Although recently I've had a crap winrate all over since the patch. A lot of it is probably due to the tier changes, since I play T5 a lot. Sweet spots, well, IJN destroyers have several. Umikaze, Isokaze, Minekaze (and variants), and Fubuki are probably the most prominent ones, although as I mentioned I've done reasonably well in Kagero and Hatsuharu as well. The entire line is reasonably solid. IJN cruisers, I'd have to say Myoko. Just a plain fun ship to play. I did like Furutaka and Aoba, although it was several updates since I played them. IJN battleships have Kongo and Fuso, both great in their own, different ways. Not sure how it is past Nagato. USN destroyers have fairly solid ships throughout the line. Benson is great, and it doesn't really get worse higher up either. Can't say much about other ships. Don't like the KM cruisers, and I'm only up to Kirov for the SN cruisers. Haven't had a good game in that one since the patch.

Do we really need Situational Awereness?

Dunno. When I spot destroyers and cruisers before they spot me, the typical response is to run away. Usually followed by volleys from every ship in range (unless potatoes), so it's probably a fair response.

ARP Hiei captain taking up reserve

Nah. They gave us the one-week mostly free captain skill reset, along with 100 dubloons to pay for it, after people complained. That's something, which is more than the worst companies out there.

Do we really need Situational Awereness?

I'd call it more hardcore than realistic. In reality, you'd have a whole staff of people doing calculations for you, so you'd actually have less problem multitasking. The ships that needs it the least are the ships that can assume they're always detected anyway, and the smallest ships that will see anything that detect them anyway, not counting when they fire (although the smallest ships are all torpedo boats), and radar shenanigans. Detection range on the minimap helps, but isn't actually essential. You can look around to get an estimate of where all ships are, and you can look up your own detectability range. Now, if distance numbers weren't on the screen, it'd be a little harder...
