I heard those 350’s suck, might be better if you go directly to 380. Just to skip a c hull in the future

I am a non steam player, my friend uses steam ( on my advice) just because I know steam offers some more benefits. If I would be forced to start new, I would take steam too. But since I have invested so much in my current account that’s just not feasible as long as WG does not allow a transfer. This is something I do take issue with! I don’t know if Steam as a cooperation “ forces” WG to have a different approach on customer relation management or just has to be more competitive to acquire a larger marketshare. I do recognize that it results in average more free or cheaper goodies for the Steam users. But in the end I do not feel worse of because some one else get more lucky then I am. I certainly do not begrudge my friend for getting goodies that I did not receive. And to be honest, those extras have a rather low value in the end. He got 3 tier2’s and a semi special captain with only 3 skill points... Nice yes, but not enough for me to get out the pitchforks.. I am happy that our steam friends get some more benefits. I am also sure this is not being initiated by WG for having benign feelings towards Steam users( or dislike towards us non steam plebs) but is forced upon WG by Steam mechanics. So for that I cheer for every benefit our Steam players receive!

Totally off topic but... The looks of these ships makes the convention investment almost worthwhile. Although I am surprised to see that they already look beautiful in their preconversion status. I really hope WG does not f.u. the Italian BB line because I really look forward playing them. Because the cruiser line is a bit of disappointment..

Coming back to the main question: 380’s? No, for an altered version of the PEF at tier 6. Yes, but then in the form of the Yorck ersatz class with 4 double 380’s. At tier 7. And with slightly less armor then the PEF since it’s was developed form the Mackensen class ( the last 3 ships that could be changed due not being laid down yet) with armor saving making up for the heavier guns... Pro’s: atleast really planned ship, partly laid down. ( unlike some “ cough” Russian bias boats..). Ok speed, 8 380’s are doable on tier 7. Negatives: poor armor, like Ashitaka poor.. Risks: what are the gun charistics..shells are Bayern or Gneis/ Bismarck? How does it compare to Hood? Hood is faster, tankier, and has that UK good 380 guns.. what does Ersatz Yorck bring to the table next of being a beautifull port queen compared to f.e. the Hood? Maybe a Yorck Ersatz at T6? Then only as a Mutsu type downgrade with even more wonky guns and slow reload with even less aa.( not that having aa maters) Would then prefer the better T7 version with good shells.

Some modernization..... Barbettes designed to hold 2x350 can just take 380? Just close the fourth barbette? That’s not a small rework of the ship, that’s a complete overhaul? If even possible on the actual ship hull as she was made. Upgunning ships have been a rarity. Mogami class was actually build with 203 in mind, Gneisenau class had some provisions for 380’s but still needed the hull to be made longer. The Italian 4 old BB had the guns bored out from 305 to 320 But this was done on a larger scale of complete rebuilding the ships ( for a cost that is debatable)

The PEF is sold by WG as she was being build! With 4x double 350’s. Added some “ modernization “ etc. It was tested and reviewed by players and people decided based on those reviews to buy or not. One of the negatives by the testers was the lack of punch of the guns and the lack of German turtleback... You bought the PEF with the layout WG sold here. Don’t come complaining that it should have been 380 or whatever...

They are all t7 and thats all about they have in common. Nelson is a real fun boat and for only 375 fxp a steal.

Well Alaska is the better ship of the current 3 available ships ( I hope you did take Nelson, for its FXP price it’s the best) but that’s because Azuma is really meh ( got it free from a crate and thus saved from spending 1 m FXP as a collectionist). Friesland is still ok if you can make her work. I enjoy Friesland because it helps me with the current missions but Alaska is the safer choice. Maybe you want to hold on to your xp and wait for the maybe German battlecruiser? Especially if you take Alaska as the lesser bad option and only look at the 2 other canndidates. Because while Alaska is ok, it’s not on the level of Missouri, Musashi or even Krohnstad. So basically: 1. buy Nelson 2. wait for as long as you can for the German bc 3. If impatient or not interested in the potential German bc buy Alaska

Received my 2 free daily crates for a whopping 70 tokens..(40+30). With 13 crates remaining Vasteras should be in the pocket but getting it next week (3rd set of missions) is iffy. Would like the extra time for the mindless grind for the permanent camo. The tier 7 is completely out of reach...

Well that leaves last weeks scenario ( eagis) as the only remaining safe (4* guarenteed) scenario where i find putting high value camo and flags worth the risk. Narai had more “speshul “ teamrisk but the higher reward did compensate. That and the better availibility of excellent premiums and silver ships with 19 point captains for that captain xp. Well sometimes it’s refreshing to have the quality players on the red team. While dodging a bad but still lethal torp spread I had to show my Missouri broadside at 6 km to a JB. Normally with or without reload boosters this means eating citadels.. I ate 2 salvo’s of HE before able to retaliate... and sink him.. At least that was compensation for havinga blue team Tirpitz ( you know the one with the extra hp captain perk) that nearly torped me while there were no near enemies within 10 km... its that I stilll have some Karma points left that are pleading me not to give feedback to these “ valued” players on ones team...

Must say I really like this permanent event camo. Together with the Italian event camo I think they look better then the normal permanent camo. Still regret that I did not more of that azurro griggio when I had the chance....gambled too much instead of buying the lower tiers... This in comparisons with fe the ugly French (dd and BB) UK CA, and soviet red banner camo. I know you can disable some of them now and get the normal camo but still...

Well i am a mediocre player and dont have an abundance of flags and still managed to grab all earlier FXP ships ( Nelson, Missouri, Kronh, Alaska, Musashi) and still have 650k in the pocket even after subsidizing ( FXP to t6 and buy stock modules) for my 3 regrind lines. I did enjoy the Azuma drop in a xmas crate. Dont waist your FXP on racing through the lines and pick the daily containers that give coal and good chance on bonus FXP and you will rack up that FXP quite fast. So buying this T10 pan eu dd for 2 m FXP is a possibility for a group of players without need to go into payed services.

How convenient. It even comes with a bonus with the privilege to convert xp to FXP at the rate of 30 for one doubloon... Although that paltry 5k doubloons will only bring 150kfxp, a bit short for the 2m FXP you need. Might boy some moar doubloons.. WG really treats us well with this amount of love. This is too much winning...

WG did the same when they removed all researchable modules of the tier 1’s. Never noticed it until I found extreme small amounts xp on those T1 because of the xp refund. Never unde,stood why WG removed them since one battle was enough to earn them.

Well seems I am lucky...reset the line and now in a hurry to get Moskwa back before she turns premium. Was planning to use as few FXP but ended up in FXP b an c hull. Got B hull xp refunded and 25k closer to Moskwa. Still 200 k left but atleast the FXP massacre is less. Was this move ever explained? There are some more unreasonable B hulls that only cost xp and credits... Why Donskoi?

Had a 60 or 40... if it was a 250 that would give me in the end of the event access to fe the tier 7 well then maybe.. but no, no way. And with the current drops I will not buy anything to just get the T6. Will probably stop when I get the T5, slugg through the 7500 base xp for the perm camo and then would have enough xp to buy the T6 directly. Demotivating event with luckily no motivators to spend any money.

Bayard used to have an special HE pen at 1/5. Worse then the Germans better then the rest. But with the old Calculations her advantage was the 38 mm pen. That’s gone. And poor old Dimitry Donskoi with it’s more powerfull 180’s is also stuck at 37mm while Mogami with it’s 155 pens 38mm... Sure, well done WG.

Worked! Gives a set of 5 progressive tasks requiring 1200/—> 1600 base xp. Rewards 5 times 200 k silver. Final rewards 1 eu container....

We have seen different ways by WG introducing new lines. The German BB and sov cruisers way: grind from tier 2/3 onwards or FXP you lazy player. We have to grind and no money opportunity for WG The UK BB way: Do tasks 3 weeks in a row. One task completed gives you the T3. Stock. Two also the T4. All3 adds the T5. Easy for us, low but fair rewards, without RNG, no money earned by WG. UK cv: earn tokens. With a bit grinding you get the T4 and T6. Higher rewards have to be augmented: by slave labor grinding or by tokens bought. Still fair for us ( no RNG) WG earns some money.. All new lines after this..more RNG with potential higher rewards ( early high tier access with more valuable high tier perm camo) but RNG infested and money grab practices. EU DD ‘s a bit back to UK cv with some base line reward (T5) But with again some added rng for us players at the mercy of WG and his doubloon packages.. Give me back the old UK bb way. Nice to have a small head start to prevent the tier 3 being overflowed as with the release of the German BB. That’s the Reason you did it different during the UK BB introduction: spreading the tiers and giving dedicated players a small reward. That was why you (WG) started to do this kind of introduction events..Now it’s evolved into a shameless money grab...

Finally got him today. Just played one short co-op today just to get the final 10 points.. In reserve now since i am still 100k short of Conqueror. Saved me 175k coal, but cost me 1400 doubloons.

WG used to enable free respec for all without hiding it... I will be using it to reset all my captains, including the ones in reserve. So many ships i dont play that often, so no problem in leaving the captains unspecced until the dust settles.

I thought that there was a bonus increasing the chance after each time you failed to get a SC. Back to topic: Atlanta and 2 x 1500 steel. The rest all mediocre flags.. But i stopped picking random since the coal option was introduced.
