Well the mission arrived. Just 5 victories needed for 2+2 40k crates. Coop counts. 500 doubloons are nice. Captain ( usa ships only) not tried.

Yes, the others were colorful, happy even, like it’s an nice achievement you got. Now you have dull boring emblems that, if you are unlucky, show a half built ship. The old ones just progressed with more fluff so each progress was rewarded with more banners and colors.. Now it’s just extremely meh.. And the players really had to stalk WG to create the emblems in the first place... if WG wants a higher tier emblem for more ships they should have just got an ever more pimped version in line with the current ones.

Dislike the new emblems. I am using the current version in my profile and will change into another type accordingly. I find it a downgrade in style. edit: i find them outright ugly compared to the current ones.

Only played Agir once, but out of the 4 ( edit 5 supercruisers: forgot Siegfried) T9 supercruisers I like it. That’s the gut feeling/ fun factor not the “ best ship for ranked” POV. I dislike the Azuma, long ranged HE spamming combined with vulnerability is not my thing ( and others can do better). Alaska is AP king with good armor and has radar for the team. You have to learn to get around the slow shells. But you can get relatively close to the action. My nr1 out of the supercruisers ( regard Alaska higher then the T10 PR) Krohnstadt has that Russian Lol pen, radar but a bit squishy armor and sometimes weird dispersion. For me a close runner up to the Alaska but I am a bit positive biased towards the Krohnstadt. Agir is for me the most active ship. You cannot go yolo from the first minute but there are possibilities the other 3 don’t have. And it’s the sole one that has torps so even more promoting that close and personal attitude. Might be a new love?

Well if WG is clear in what’s it is offering ( an Amagi with a hardly noticeable sigma upgrade but a notable 3 sec reload increase) and people still willing to fork the money well good for them. WG can be blamed to sometimes make the real deal a bit clouded ( like the PR grind with unclear info about how many paid aid packages you need to buy beforehand to make the grind durable for you) in this case it was stated quite clear it’s just a slightly different Amagi with permanent camo. you just hope that people think in advance before buying. But whether they do or not it is their sole decision. Either way I think that a permanent camo on your Amagi is a better investment. Or if you don’t have the Amagi or want a real premium buy the Kii. Or a better T8 BB. Or even better for you and the game community any good premium on a tier that you feel comfortable to use and have experience in..

I bought the Agir with a week cooldown period because I have (had) the 1 mil FXP ready. it was a trade-off between Ohio, Siegfried and Agir. Have the research tokens for one ship research ship and the 1 m FXP for Agir. But that FXP could also be used to speed up the 2 current re- researched silver lines in progress enabling the purchase of a second research ship at the cost of spending my FXP. In the end decided to buy the Agir. Although with the Odin it’s a bit crowded in the German premiums. First coop game was fun and scored 950+xp in a coop which is quite good ( not that I claim coop games are skill though, but I like to test a ship out in coop before going untested into randoms) Will only buy Siegfried after Ohio though. And that will require finishing my current 2 lines and one additional one after the reset for double bonus. But are there more differences between Agir and Siegfried beyond to the main guns? Thought the platforms were identical.

Coop is the best and fastest way to unlock the do x - this many times. Missions that require x amount of silver or xp are a bit more a trade-off since coop earns you less. But even then scenarios can be usefull if allowed. Aegis is current on and almost foolproof.

Question: the 2 containers you van earn for the mission (that you can get through the “ news” ingame offer 2 containers ( of one of the factions you have to choose beforehand) ) are they the same as the paid containers? So I got atleast 2 free shots (with some grind labor attached ofc) at the premiums?

My first premium ever: my Atago. Although as an early noob I played her wrong. Broadside stuff etc. for firing all my torps.. But know still a steady ship.

Well for me I could make it a kind of “ Moskwa camo” thing. Spend some doubloons on my earlier port expansions ( and we all still do when you buy a ship in the armory for doubloons since there is a 300 doubloon increase included for the portspace) and now you get them for free. But no problem because newer players won’t have to spend the money I had or struggle with which ship to keep/ sell because you could not progress with a new silver line. And WG is already tuned down the number you get. Last half year you got a portspace 3 times a month. Now only one of the x times reward is a portspace. So yes to more ports, but please make the 300 doubloon extra cost on a new premium voluntary..

You have still a coupon. Use it to buy an ( expensive) coal ship. Only when you have enough coal after using the coupon ( or saving it for a steel ship discount) and therefore no coupon to use for a 25 % discount do commanders come an interesting choice. This because cmdrs will not be available with a discount ( and therefore will always be 175k). So: Since you came back you have both a coupon to spent before the 26th. To get most use of that coal and the coupon spent it on the most expensive coal ship you like and can afford. After the 26th you automatically get a new coupon ( whether or not you spent your current one although you will lose it/ still will have only one) so if you have significant coal left you can buy another one with another 25% discount after the 26 th. You only get a coupon each half year. Use it either on a steel ship ( steel being less easy to get so a discount of 25% has the most value) or if there a no steel purchases to be made, buy the most liked and expensive coal ship you can afford with the discount. Then save up coal for the next half year to repeat. Any extra coal can be spend on cheaper coal ships, crates to finish collections and finally if nothing else remains on cdrs where the Russian one is the only one that really matters. The much cheaper coal cmdrs can be an option in lieu of cheaper coal ships though.

Strangely of the 4 I like Mikoyan the most. Best compromise of speed, agility and firepower.

From the current available T9 supercruisers Alaska has the best papers. You have utility for your team (radar) and the lack of torps are just a motivation to ignore any rush to get close into torp range. The guns and better angles make Alaska a sturdy and extremely punishing ship. And a rather tanky one too. You need to take into account the low shell speed. Azuma is a total different beast. One of the few JPN cruisers without torps, you do not need to be close ( even with the average range of 10 km) And with both her armor and good accurate long range HE artillery you don’t need and want to. Agir is IMO different but unproven. Alaska is the safe bet. Azuma the poor mans Yoshino. There is always the risk that Alaska goes the way of the Krohnstadt the other, no longer available, T9 supercruiser in the game. So you might find it better to pick Alaska now...

Sigh... If you had a Moskwa and permanent camo yesterday...You have a Moskwa with permanent camo with the added cost discount and the ability to freely shift captains... So you got extra! Maybe not so much as previous owners without the permanent camo because they got the same without spending 5k doubloons earlier. You did not lose anythiing, others just got a better gift then you. stop crying! Watch the special STEAM offers next months and compare it with what the non steam WOWS players will get...Life is not Always fair... I bought Atago and people got ARP TAKOA for free during the first ARP event (although it did not yet have full camo bonus) I bought Graf Spee, now you can get it for Free People payed for Blitz, now you can get it for coal People bought Flint for steel, you will get it for coal soon. I bought tier 9 permanent camo full prize, months later it had a 50% discount need i continue... WG will not compensate your 5 K doubloons, like the examples before. Because you got what you paid for in the first place!

The ship is not bad, certainly not for 3500 Doubloons. But people will find it bad because they will play it wrong. Like people can play Derpitz wrong. Either far away spamming HE and torping from 2nd line or brawling first in trying to make those torps work because i am strong with my turtleback...It will not be a succes for those players and i expect them to complain hard...probally the one type of players that outright buy the Odin the first day and expect it to be a super Tirpitz and Bismarck combined.. If you play Odin right it can work according to most cc's but not stellar

Yea, and the sad part is that we actually used to have T8 scenarios (atleast one 9the one with allied cruisers only), or even more?) But CV as it is is good enough for WG to be released, but not the aircraft intensive scenarios….

Raptor is the one scenario that I ignore. Got my 5 star reward rather early once and decided I had enough. This scenario has 2 main liabilities ( bugged ai and dependance on semi competent teammates) without any compensating adequate level of reward. And that was even before the current nerf in rewards..

Well who plays all of those eventships that you can earn (or buy earlier to get a onetime bonus during the appropriate event) after that event.. Hill: you could buy it earlier to get a daily bonus. An ok Ish T5 typical US dd Sirocco: plain bad ship inferior to the normal silverlines version Genova: well its special and different. Buying it helped you earn a bit more tokens. Gorizia: prefer the Zara with torps. Buying it helped you progress through the first 3 PR missions and gave you doubloons cashback. Mikoyan: played the 28 games for max tokenfarm. But not my choice pick if I want to play T5. London: Can be used in some scenarios, but if a smokecruiser is desired at T6 Perth and Leander first. Gave daily mission for extra daily tokens. Did Lazo give a benefit, dont remember... All portqueens now..

Thats why you can set your Visuals in wows in a way that you can equip these camo's without seeing or hearing any special unrealistic things. The camo will look the same as the standard premium camo in games and in port. Including the bonusses they give. Only thing not available is that with real normal premium camo you can sometimes swith between colors.. For example i use these xmas bonus camo's on my tier 8's, the US Eagles on my Des Moines and the special Yamato weeb camo. And they all look like regular now. It saves a lot of money and still give the same bonusses (or almost the same)! One of the better added options in wow i might say :) Edit: and you can do the same to the ARP and Dragon ships.. Will look like the regular premium camo. Or in case of the Kongo's one of the standard cheap camo's.

Permanent camo’s have already received a stat bonus. I remember the initial T6 had only a paltry 30% xp bonus that only 2 years ago changed to 50% and a small discount of 10% in costs. Which at low tiers is not that much of a saving. But on the other hand..when I started wows a 100% Xp bonus camo was big. Now we have camo’s that either give up to 700% bonus on one type of xp or several hundreds on all 3 xp types. But still Permanent camo is just becoming less valuable each year. That’s why WG gives it away so easy. And atleast one time a year they give a 50% discount on them ( exemption: not the tier x, but after the Moskwa thing I am hesitant to buy any). And before the option of not making visually the crazy camo’s I even thought about buying the more regular camo, now i happy use strange event perm camo’s, disable their looks and just play them. For example the 4/5? Xmas t8 camo’s they came with the PR grind. Ugly as f*ck But fine with the visual limiter activated.

Well maybe usefull if you want to buy some low tier ships with your discount voucher and Unused doubloons. So they won’t drop in your Xmas crate:). Bayard is a bit different,but understandable. It lost its special benefit of better inbuilt he penetration. It used to be inbetween the German HE pen rules (1/4) and the rest (1/6). Now all ships ( except the Germans) have the same penetration as the Bayard at tier 8 so her uniqueness was lost with the latest IFHE change. But in the end: more ships available through other means then only cash is an improvement.

I did remember WG mentioning that there would be a special USN California camo soon. And the ship is not even released? So soon? And then for € or coal? She is too meh to ask real money for her imo. So I hope coal ( or RN Nelson level of FXP would be fine too)

I would love the have some more camo’s available,. Especially the ones no longer available. For example, the white Victorian camo for U.K. camo’s is still available next to the regular ones. I would love to have the special event camo for the Italian cruisers ( love the simple blue grey) and EU dd to be permanently available too as a buy option. Although regarding to the usefulness of the lower permanent camo’s...the 50% xp and -10% cost don’t really cut it against all the heavy single use camo’s that I have in stock..

When demounting modules for doublouns you might, depending on your amount of silver, choose to only demount with doubloons the most expensive ones. For the cheap ones you might prefer to take the 50% cash loss.

Moderately happy with this. Have both my 1 mil FXP and 58k RT ready. My steel is Bourgogne all the way and Shikishima was never on the radar. Did spent some 200K FXP last month but paid attention to stay near the 1 mil FXP mark just for this kind of premium. And since the 2m for both premium Tx dd's are a big no go...Agir is a good alternative with no other options available other then boosting my Research Points farming... Regarding the Siegfried: was collecting for the Ohio ( just 4K short ) so Siegfried can be an instant buy vs just a bit more grinding for Ohio. So with no other new FXP ships in sight --> Agir instant buy Siegried vs Ohio doubt for my precious research Points.
