You don’t want to play T7. Being outnumbered you need quality. And those are found at T8. Saving some tokens and showing up with a T7 ships already screws your team.. Well there are good T7 ( even better then some bad T8) but I can’t think off a T7 that’s not surpassed by a good T8. People should not be guided to show up in a T7 due to token economy. Best to remove T7 as an option or make it just as expensive. Same can be said about T5 and T6 but atleast for some T5 dd,s I can imagine an exception.

I will do my coop victories easy and quick pls. You can do 100+ games being reliant on your team to win, I prefer taking a less then 10 mins battle coop run with guaranteed victory and crate. WG is offering both options ( pvp vs pve) and I am picking pvp for the quick and result focused method. Who are you to decide that coop games are not worthy.. And it’s good to see that with campaigns, missions etc WG is more and more opening up towards the coop alternative too to accomplish requirements. Seems WG does not agree with your “ must be PVP” requirements, which is better anyway because I can see a lot of toxic behavior in randoms if people focus on a 500 xp threshold, which is not more different then win requirement. . Leave people the option to let of steam and do their things in coop..

I thought WG already nerfed detonation. WG made ships immune for detonation if the are below above x% of HP. I thought that was 50% not 75% though.

Yes that was quite disappointing for my friend who got Hipper. Unresearched and without perm camo. Earlier he got the Bismarck ( think it was unsinkable Sam) fully researched and with the basic permanent camo. ( now he has 4 permanent camo’ for th Bismarck: unsinkable Sam, the basic one and the 2 with yelllow turrets) Hipper is a bit cheap like this WG

I think this is much more comparable with the Odin event then PR. Only difference is that build points over 20 not give you steel but research points.. not interested in those ( although for players not yet enabled access ( not yet 5 lines researched) to Research it might be a tactic to do so. If only to get access to those 1200 points a month. And instead of getting Graf Spee ( which for most people resulted in 7m credits) you get 100 k FXP as the main intermediate prize. As the final prize, a T8 BB is most of the time more valuable then a T 8 cruiser...But I still suspect it will cost 3500d to complete her. Which is still 1/3 of regular prize. Any reviews about the ship out yet?

Bought 2x 10. First gave a lot of flags, second gave Mainz. Did have Hipper and z39 in port already.. Spend twice the money needed for a direct bought Mainz. But got 15 days premium, 100k FXP, and a load of camo’s and flags.. For the camo’s and flags, while they are nice, you will earn a lot more with the upcoming “ snowflake” event.. But on the other side Main is the only premium that I wanted so that made me gamble..turned out quite meh...could have been worse could have been better ( drop in first 10, additional Pommern)

Never sell premiums... leave them in port for snowflakes... selling them will give back only silver while having the increased risk that you get them back due to an award crate.. For example we have the KOTS collection that gives you a free random T7 premium... you would not like to receive Gorizia back....

Well it’s good for the clanoil. A lot of crates ( both those with a chance ( lol) on either 3 premiums or Hipper) And the regular ones with two collection pieces. All not that grindy...as long as you don’t fool yourself by setting your expectations high on receiving a big prize it’s just all nice extra gifts..

Well if this means that you have access to the monthly 3* 400 research points that you miss out when you not have research bureau unlocked... But even then...12*1200 RP= 14400 yearly by collecting 75 steps each month.. ( maybe) the onetime bonus 10k that you normally receive...it will take looong if you want to unlock even Siegfried at 47k without actually resetting lines...

Well T7 dd suffer against higher tier dd from not having access to the concealment module( exeption the German dd that has the module at T7) ... So to carry a game in a T7 ( premium or not) requires both ( next to your brilliant mastermind) atleast a semi competent team on your side and absolute potatoes on the red site. Or some extreme sacrifice on the altar of RNGesus. Not that there are no solid T7 premiums but they are not geared to smash T9’s..If they would they would have been OP...

Well just read the news regarding the 5th anniversary “ snowflake” rewards... going to be rather easy. T10 —> SC yes please, and I don’t have THAT many so... T9 —> 2x special gift container, each dropping 5 special flags. T8 —> 1 special gift container, dropping those 5 special flags, T5 /T7 —> 2 wow anniversary camo’s So no reliable coal/ steel ( can still drop from sc?) income... Those 10/ 5 flags are nice. This will not motivate me to play below T8 for snowflake hunting.

I think you bought your Flint for steel? Or before that reaching ranked. Flint has yet to become available for coal. I hope around 70/80k like the Polish dd..

I will get the Pommern for coal... after sometime... but by far not the highest priority since I have enough Premium German BB and supercruisers in the T8 & T9 bracket. And most of all, while I like sonar, armor, torps etc I prefer guns that reward good aiming.. So my coal priority will be Flint ( to eliminate that ship dropping as the KOTS reward ship) Lutjens ( current coupon is reserved for steel, thus use coal on item that has no discount available) and then Yoshino with coupon in 2021. Then only with coal dd’s and Pommern remaining I might consider the German BB..

Well regarding the numbers of Pommern’s I meet ( even after all the mediocre opinions of CC and testers) there are enough of ( rather new) players that buy the ship on emotions ( don’t think this type of player even have the coal reserves). WG makes enormous profits on this..preying on the impulsive player not taking into account the degrading effect on the game on the longer term. First these impulsive player while perfect for the bankaccount of WG will find jou that Pommern is not the promised “ I win” ship. Older players will just get upset more and more of inadequate experienced players in the highest tiers..

Poll questions are not always logical. I answered no on q1 but am still required to answer q 2...and for use on cv’s i have no real answer since I hardly play cv...So that forces me to guess on what speciality would be the best..

You guys are not helping making the decision easier but yes I thing Bourgogne is way more fun but Stalingrad is more OP... first world luxury choices..

Think Thunderer and JB are the better “ free ships”. Ohio is not bad, but tier for tier I have Georgia in higher regard. Did not yet have the pleasure to have Bourgogne..still undecided to make the choice between this one and Stalingrad.

Only newly promised US BB that interest me is the announced T5 Oklahoma. It’s the class just after New York and has 10 guns with 2x3 and 2x2 unlike het follow ups with 4x3 like Arizona, New Mex and California ( all 3 different classes though). Oklahoma is a real ship and although had no WW2 action then being sunk at Pearl Harbor ( not completely destroyed like Arizona, but raised but unworthy to be repaired) looks like a nice ship with a bit better gun setup then NY and Texas. I don’t think it will be that good and thus will be the reward ship tied to the event of the release of the new line... But likely a free ship to get ( unless it will be sold to make grinding more easily)

Have resettled 4 lines until now. Moskwa and Des Moines completed, Republique ( at Alsace, 200k to go) and Zao ( Myoko, waiting for T7 operation) Moskwa costed me too much FXP due to the Moskwa / Nevsky switch.. Normaly I take my time for regrinding a line.. I am focused on Ohio, waiting for the final 400 points needed out of the monthly grind reward. With 4 regrinds ( double points) and the initial bonus 10k I am in doubt if I take another one... I am interested in Ohio and Siegfried with combined will cost me 62 + 47 with is 109 in total....So I am 19 short... relying on 1200 a month out of doing dailies is a bit a long grind...But will definitely not pay for research points like WG is trying at the upcoming dockyard.. Colbert does not interest me.. Slava is a big questionmark. That 1k more then Ohio is easy to take. But as collector I want to grab Ohio before it is gone...Although compared to other free ships ( Thunderer, Georgia) I think it’s not worth the more difficult resource...Might gamble on Ohio to be demoted to coal status...And take Slava.

The same reason I have those ships in port. Got the Ibuki, Seattle and Neptune planned too

No the 10% discount is scheduled for the 10 year anniversary. This time for just 5 y anniversary,5% is good enough for the EU plebs..

Have around 10 T10 and planning to buy 3 more ( Ohio, Stalingrad And Monty) just to get 13 times a chance to see my SC turn into 100 detonation flags

Yes first one was generous on both steel and coal and gave some nice extra bonuses on premium ships ( like a premium ship got the bonusreward of a tier higher silver one) and premium ships below T5 were not forgotten. Then resources were nerfed a bit ( less coal, less steel) then nerfed even more into sc for T10 and higher tiers a special container ( with not the greatest content) and then camo for the lower tiers... Probably grinding snowflakes is worthwhile from T8 onwards..

we’ll the type of players I have met had a lot of HE sniping, HP buff and secondline torping like they have 20 km range torps.. Its Derpitz on steroids...people with 500 games and trying to get their change to guaranteed wins by virtue of paying money for this T9..with predictable results...and then blame WG for not delivering the correct OP ship

Really love these whining treads about Pommern..have seen enough players with HP buff, shooting HE in the back and torping their own teammates.. The kind of players that make any ship fail but expect the Pommern to make them magically great instead.. I hope that atleast they bought it with coal... Pommern can be played correctly to good results if the driver is knowing what he is doing. Is it OP? Well has torps and sonar and good armor...Do you want Slava grade guns as well? If you played high tier German BB’s you should have know what to expect in regard of gunning experience..and that with lower sigma and reload.. you should have known the possible frustration...If you did not And bought this ship without a good thought and can’t make it work well blame yourself.. WG is free to design a bad ship, it’s your mistake to buy it..Not considering it’s that bad, but it does not come equipped with an “ I win” button
