For that lucky first roll, yes I would say you could spent 1000 doubloons. Saves you a lot of grinding, silver and a port spot. Although money wise.. portspots are like 3 free a month and then 300 doubloons, 3 point captain also not that much... If you intended to do the grind as a collector it saves you around 200k FXP + the modules at T9 if you intend to get the T8 from the missions. If you start from Colorado even more. So do you intend to grind the line upwards to T10: yes for a mere 1000 d it saves you much time.

Yes, I cashed in my doubloons that I get from the recruitment centre today for the first time. You get 10% of the value in doubloons of what your recruits spend the last month.. The amount surprised me and have to really tell them to stop spending that money on WG. Like for me its’s nice since I can pay for the next dockyard event but still...

Have been looking at the mission requirements...well not that easy, atleast some of the individual missions ( you need atleast 6 finished to advance to the next tier) are some really grind stinkers...and I still have the dockyard thing to do which really limits the type of ship I play since the specific ship requirements for the individuals mission. And then the token reward...well yes 12900 or so is the max reward.. if you do all missions and I only intend to do the easiest 6 just to advance ( you might do some old tier mission as you progress) But looking at the last group it will be tough enough... So even the 3 rd bundle ( for tokens) is out of reach.. checked the content of the first gamble box...no ship and I am not paying cash for 1500 tokens a crate to get ugly camo’s that I can buy cheaper. Will try to get the final reward ( T8 silver early access) if possible ( saves xp, silver etc) But the reward vs grind comparison is at record level low. Only positive is the daily reward log in bonus. Thanks for 50d and that extra day premium.

Well it’s all 2 camo’s with a sell price of a combined 90k silver....From T8 up the crates are nice though.

Might get the T8 for free if the missions are doable... have some excess xp on Colorado so in best case I save some silver, xp and a Portspot.

This would be one of the worst type of event introducing a new line. Earlier events you either have a chance to get an early access ship(s) ( with a perm camo) by free play and an option to augment that to buy more gamble crates for real money. Then we had events that had you play missions to acquire tokens that either you could spend on more gambling crates ( for early access chance drop) or permanent camo ( like ITA cruisers) or play missions to acquire tokens with a T5 premium guaranteed and a chance to get T8-T9 and permanent camo T8-T10 with additional tokens again by gambling or buying new premium ships to have access to token rewarding missions.( the Soviet CA line) Now we have a mission that in the end rewards us with the new T8 us alternative BB ( ok guaranteed reward of a normal ship, hoping that the grind is friendly...) and enough tokens that can be earned with these missions totalling 12.900 tokens...12.000 are needed to buy the first 3 tiers of rewards...camo’s special flags all nice...but the first real reward ( permanent camo for the T8) is another 6 k tokens...2 k tokens can be received for free through the recruiting station ( but requires you to be/ have recruits,,,) so that requires you to spend 3k doubloons minimum to get the required tokens to get that permanent T8 camo. If you have a recruit going on.. Then inflations goes through the roof...you need an additional 27k tokens to get the “ free” premium Florida reward.. ( 27k / 1500 tokens) 18 crates a 1000 doubloons... Next Permanent camo T9 25k, Permanent T10 camo 30k tokens... that an addition 37 crates...for 2 camo’s, 45 days premium, 35k coal and basic flags... Ok with this spending the T9 drop will be yours as well.. ( edit: lol no only 55 crates out of 65, so you can be unlucky) But if you play FTP or intend to keep your wallet shut you can just ask your self will I go through the grind for a mediocre T8 ( without camo) and some tokens to buy some flags, camo or silver... For me I will glance at the mission requirements and if it is friendly without me going through grind hell I might tag along..if not I will sit this one out...

I used around 800k FXP to get 4 T10 finished so I could get the SC snowflake bonus after buying the Agir not that long ago. Some T9 are bit boring to grind so you might use your FXP on them while getting that SC gamble loot.

Zao did receive a torp ( option) buff but I think that it can have a small HP buff looking at its size and the HP of smaller and similar ships at its tier. Not that 4K (?) hp extra would matter that much but it would be fair.

If its real low like 100 -150 xp to exclude the afk bots then its fine...250 -300xp is doable reliably in co-op although some ships might strugle (it the human competition is strong like you are a slow BB and your "friendly"dd get all the kills before your arive) Above 500 it gets iffy, above 700 extremly unreliable

Today’s waterline announcement concerning Italian BB’s Andrea Doria, Vittorio Veneto and at T10 Christoforo Colombo Special features: smoke like ITcruisers, SAP instead of HE and relative low calibre guns. The T10 has 16 380’s..

For coal advice I just presume coal is your only main regular income that can get you “ free “ ships. Depending on the rate you acquire coal and thus your ambition to get only few or all ships in due time... You want high tier, So T9 And T10 ( maybe T7)? Well currently you have in shop: T10 Salem Marceau Yoshino Moskwa Thunderer T9 Georgia Pommern T7 Blys The T9 earn you more money then T10’s. Between your first 3 options ( Moskwa, Georgia, Yoshino) I think Georgia is the much better option. Moskwa is not very special ( happy I received it for free, would have hated to waste coal for it), Yoshino is to delicate to play active in it and those torps require constraint on your side...With the current captain rework it looks like the supercruisers might get shafted due to no longer having access to some BB perks...work in progress though... From a collecter POV I think Georgia ( together with Thunderer) are the earliest free ships to be removed from shop IF WG does a repeat of Smolensk/ JB. From the other ships Thunderer is the best T10. Having Nelson should not be a reason to block this ship, the Thunderer gives you much more. Salem is ok but you can get DM easier. Since you have the best results in cruisers you might already progress far with the US CA branch...if you can’t get US cruisers to work, Salem wil not suit you either. So get Thunderer first ( with coupon) or Georgia second ( without coupon) and buy Thunderer next year when the coupon resets.

Well there are the 3 former steel ships ( Black, Flint, Neustrashimy) that will be “ downgraded” to coal ships. Expect them around end this year? They are out of shop now for almost half year. WG said there would be an unavailable period to placate the players who bought them for steel. I thought that period was like 1/2 to 3/4 of a year. But the reason for downgrade was the lack of popularity... So as a collector ( got to get them all) you might pick them up. Myself might pick up Flint if it has a chance to show up in my free T7 KOTS container as a preventive strike. Otherwise still beter coal ships and maybe captains to get.

In the end having one player save his star makes progress for us all easier. I think that the average games needed to get to tier one is lessened by some amount due to the star saving mechanic. Can people game the mechanic? Sure yes since you can do a lot of raw damage while contributing hardly to the tam chance of winning.But this is no difference in other modes. You get the same better xp on the losing side if you just farm damage and stay alive long enough... if I pick a BB that deals damage afar and my team survives as my meatshield I do well, it the meatshield fails I still do well to get a decent xp reward ( and a good chance of saving my star if ranked)

Ranked destroys more then vodka can compensate...

From all mentioned T8 cruisers i like Bagration the most as being the most reliable, stable gameplay. You have heal and survivability equal to the Prinz and better then the rest. Your AP is the most filthy of the bunch with better angling and raw power. Wichita does not have USA heavy AP. Your torps, while not being Atago level range & damage have good range ( for a soviet boat). HE is mediocre like German ships and a farcry from Atago but AP is your choice anyway and HE is last resort vs head on armored behemoths. Reload and turret turn speed a a bit meh..but neither is Atago.

You could buy the T5 cheap for cash and some other t5,T6 and T7, for coal cheap IF you plan to go on lootbox whaling season soon. better get the rif raf outof the drop chance for a few coins then waste a lot on loot boxes to get the T5 and low stuff before you get the real nice ones. But honoustly these ships are not that great. Nice to fill up your port if thats is what you want..but actual playing them before better ships.. nah

Think you mean the 5 epoch collection. Since you already at the 3 rd round you already went full speed for this collection. At the same time when there are more time limited events going on that are not that comparable with this mission. Especially the first ( and slightly the second) tiers when you are required to grind work in tiers that do not contribute to your other efforts. 1. take your time. The collection does not go anywhere. 2. from tier 3 on you play 5-8 tier, enabling to do other events together. 3. As you get higher in tiers the specific mission requiring special ships should get easier since you probably keep more of them in port. 4. Some if the missions mentioned at 3 are easy. 20 torp/ fire hits, 150k torp dmg. 5. Just do the 3 top missions that give a crate once and then focus on the easiest special ship missions.

I would prefer the ship to become available in their original pre war configuration as Hr. Ms. Kijkduin. With 2 guns more it becomes a Dutch version of Dallas/ the Italian T7 Duca. With ballistics a bit like the Duca but way better then Dallas it could be a T7. With better reload, fire chance and aa offsetting the removal of the heal. would still not be exceptional though.

While I appreciate a nice first win bonus ( it used to be something special in the old days) since it is not extra work, I feel a bit overwhelmed by the current KOTS missions, the dockyard, remaining snowflakes, the new campaign ( which I can ignore since you can take your time)....I really prefer ONE good planned and executed event once in a while instead of this ungoing continued barrage of semi events and bonus missions. Some very well hidden until you random find a participate button.. The last event that I really enjoyed was the mission that took some time ( but not real intensive on the grind) that rewarded a random T6 ( ok helped that I got a rather well appreciated drop from it). A nice event with even a lowly premium T2-5 would be fine too. And during these events ( And in between!) just give us a weekend with 100% first win bonus or a small mission for some camo’s... It might give us less goodies but has the benefit that during the “ low ops” moments you can just start that random/ co-op without thinking about doing trick x or y but focus on doing the best to win.

I would be extremely p*see if WG did this. Since I missed 2 crates the first season I can’t get the required 16 this event. One of the reasons I slacked and missed those crates is that I trusted WG in saying that there was no urgency. Be left with no T7 and an unfinished collection would ruffle my feathers.. So a third season would be the minimum that I expect from WG. In lieu of that, I would then expect WG to make these crates available for coal at a price of 5k a piece. Why 5k? Well a new player can decide to buy them all for a total of 80 k coal. More expensive then the current coal T7 but since that is a dd the small premium is compensation for the chance you get a more expensive ship plus a 10 point captain. Still a gamble since you van get a ship you don’t prefer...but that’s what it is now too. Worst case I would even , extreme upset, accept if WG tunes down the reward. Like if you complete the collection after Season 2 ends the reward is downscale to a random T6..etc..Settling at T5 afterwards.. would be extreme petty from WG side and my faith broken a bit more...

Initially went for the 4th round prize, 500 steel but i found that my progress was fast enough to get the final reward within 3 months... I repeated the most basic quest repeatedly by just playing my T8+ ships. Did help that i had the Friesland for some specific T8 plus European dd tasks. Only extra investment was a 40K fxp towards the silver line T8 pan EU dd. Dedicated some time each day playing these 2 boats.. Saves me wasting 175K coal on this captain. Never played a game with him yet.

Well WG reacted before to questions from players with these concerns...Baseline was like, if you don’t get the required total of 16 items this round, you will get it the next KOTS or the one after.. From the 2 current rounds it has been 8 containers each. Five by missions, 2 by twitch and one as a daily reward. In the end receiving a T7 premium is very nice, but it’s a random. Yes you can narrow the odds by already having some other T7’s ( like I always advice to buy the Blysk for coal before) it can be the ship you don’t want. We got a random T6 container last year for less work in a much shorter time lapse. You can, in theory get the free T7 by only getting the one container by opening daily rewards. Or 2 more for having Twitch online during the relevant weekends without any grinding work .But then it will take you more then 2 years...It’s a drawn out event for semi-loyal players..

Yes, depending on your progress it will atleast take 2 KOTS events if you max out. Since it’s only our second only standard is that 1 container is a daily gift, 2 are Twitch and the remaining 5 are missions. Last time it was tier 10 only. Now it’s down to tier 8- 10. So many did not get the full 8 ( don’t have twitch, no high tier). It could take very long if you only get a few. But WG said it wil continue, so you can take x times to complete it. But 3, max 4 rounds should do it. But you can take your time...Until the game is cancelled...
