I think pay4confort might be a very good description of players using monetary power to unlock game content by skipping/ bypassing / easing up the normal grind. And I am perfectly fine with that. Each person has his/ her own appetite to spent money or not ( and the availability of those monetary funds in the first place). Seems a lot of players are just a bit jealous that some people can just spent money way easier then they can. And the excuse of “ the T10 premium buy noobs will ruin my game” is also lame because noobs have been in randoms ruining your game from day one. In random just start up your game with the idea of your teammates being useless until proven otherwise and you have to carry the game yourself. Most of the time team red will suffer the same, don’t hear players complain when that happens...

I don’t mind much. Another high tier available for money and thus without guarantee that the player is good enough for high tier gameplays that so many players on the forum are So upset about... misplaced pride imo. Either abolish the buying of ships higher then tier 7/8/9 or whatever but don’t make a fuss when it becomes 10. We have bad players on each tier. Buying a tier x is just as bad as buying a tier 9,8 or 7 without sufficient experience under your belt. And even veterancy does not equal quality. The existence of ARP Yamato does not change anything. PR did not change the meta, neither will ARP Yamato. I see cv’s ( those that you have to grind normally) much more having a negative impact then an extra pixel version of an existing Battleship. People derp in the regular Yamato, players will derp in the ARP version. Sure I cringe when I see a Derpitz with extra health firing his torps from the third line.. and I facepalm when I see a Yamato going full broadside..( when on own team, when a red Yamato gives me this I delete with a smile)...There will be good ARP Yamato players as well. Some players forget that it’s is money what makes the world. In real life having more money makes things easier or better or more luxurious. In this game spending money gets you benefits. And in this case it’s far from an” I win” benefit but just enjoying your weeb fetish or just skipping some grind. I say let them. WG does.

Just checked. yes there is a free mission but you have to click the participate button in the news article.. Rather easy 3 tiered mission that gives you a six point Kirishima captain.... You can always sell her in 2021 to get some captian xp points back after the captain skill rework if she is your x times duplicate version.

Well if it’s the friendly drunk type of play we keep the bad gameplay but less salt in chat? And when it’s getting deep into the night nobody can write anymore so that might be an improvement..

Well getting a duplicate ship is nice for the extra snowflake. And since the most Alaska owners got her “ free” for 1 m FXP getting both 2500d and 100k FXP back is a nice extra. And for those who did not yet have Alaska the pressure to get one ( because in 3 months she and some others will be removed from shop) will be lower since you just bagged the identical black version. You had some wonderful rng today sir!

My disappointment grows... regarding the ARP collaboration I had a more positive and willing attitude to spent some money. Always wanted Maya for the fun’s and since I received all earlier ships and captains when they were completely free ( money wise not regarding the grind) I was willing to somehow pay extra. Especially after the “ upgrade” these ships got earlier from minimal premium ships to the real premium status with camo etc... Even if I became more reluctant to spent big money on this game and WG. But these prices..without any mission to get something free/ discounted. And Maya is not Maya but a ARP Takao / Atago clone disregarding her special configuration. I bought Atago and never regretted it, received Takao for free and enjoyed her upgrade to full premium. But never even considered to buy the Atago B or the extra red camo for ARP Takao. I really wanted ARP Maya and was willing to ignore the fact that I would buy a somewhat identical ship for the second time...But under these conditions...WG really helps to keep my wallet closed. As for Musashi and Yamato...for that kind of money I can buy full games titles with additional dlc’s... I have thrown money at WG before so mistakes have been made in the past, but this feels so uncomfortable.... By the way, looking at the main big whale package picture....is that the legendary Yamato module that is also included? If it is then even more items are for sale the easy way..what’s next in shop? A token that gives you preference in MM? Selling FXP? Captain XP? Because that 3/ 10 point freshly bought captain should be made 19/21 points the easy way.

Will retired (premium, coal, freexp etc.) ships return at some point?
Jvd2000 replied to ZeuSueZ1337's topic in General Discussion
The only T10 that we “lost”until now is Smolensk. We lost Missouri ( FXP) Musashi ( both FXP and coal?) Krohnstad ( FXP) JB ( coal). First 3 are gone, JB came back in Black version. Then we lost some regular non free currency ships like Kutnetzov, Belfast, GC, the T8 US CV, The Kamikaze twins, Gremyashy. This future removal of ships is actually the largest removal ever. Thunderer, Georgia, Alaska, Massachusetts, and the second T10 to be removed Smalland. WG has been quite inconsistent with the removals. It’s not about being longest in shop. Or exactly most sold/ games in play. Only thing that surprises me is that the almost completely remove the US BB secondary playstyle. Sure Ohio still is available but the main showcase of this style is removed...and maybe a bit questionable looking at the future captain skill change. -
What is your current success with "Always Courageous Collection" (ultimate prize is USN Tier V BB "Oklahoma")?
Jvd2000 replied to Leo_Apollo11's topic in General Discussion
Just to prevent the ship to show up in your precious SC/ Santa/ whatever loot crate..Basically all the T5 that came with events are of mediocre quality.. But if you can get them free it saves you money and/ or frustration afterwards. -
What is your current success with "Always Courageous Collection" (ultimate prize is USN Tier V BB "Oklahoma")?
Jvd2000 replied to Leo_Apollo11's topic in General Discussion
Will only do the base 27+4 crates ignoring the bxp twitch missions. Need 11 drops out of 31. With then 20 duplicates Incan finance the missing 5 collection items. Currently at 7 so 4 more to go. Think the odds are good enough, otherwise I will have to buy with coal some remaining crates. The idea of buying loot crates for money is crazy. I have seen Oklahoma ‘s in battle. Paying money for bad loot crates to get a ship like Oklahoma earlier is difficult to understand.. Baseline is that I would like the collection finished and not having to wait until patch somewhere mid 2021.. -
Is Oktyabrskaya Revolutsiya worth to buy?
Jvd2000 replied to Curesto's topic in General Discussion
Buy it with money, no not really. It’s not the greatest ship and as T5 it cannot go into scenarios which it might still do well. For coal it might be nice. It’s the only low level bb you can get for coal and it’s not that expensive. Looking at you current available ships a high tier mightnot be what you are looking for yet. -
Time to bring someships back
Jvd2000 replied to Admiral_AHR_TheNightmare's topic in General Discussion
I thought that Kronstadt ( and Musashi) were removed because WG wanted to change the cost of FXP T9 from 750 k FXP up to 1 million. Atleast Kronstadt is not stronger then the current available supercruisers. And I don’t remember it being in shop that long warranting her removal.. Musashi can be considered OP somewhat for having 460’s at T9. Smolensk had its own problems and JB was “ too” populair...although a JB Black seems not to be a problem for WG..Belfast is considered too good for her tier. Kutozov already way less. GC is rather strong at her T5. -
Premium Shop: Oklahoma for Collection
Jvd2000 replied to The_EURL_Guy's topic in News & Announcements
Well the grind has very easy requirements.. it’s not that getting the ship is tough. Only a bit depending on rng is that you need enough good items from the 31 crates ( 27 from mission + 4 from daily drops) to receive 16 items and not too many duplicates. As a ship she is inferior to Texas which is in turn is inferior to New York ( better heal, reload and 0,5 knot faster) with only irrelevant aa to compensate. And then New York is extremely meh compared to all the other lines..So will play this ship maybe twice a year for the snowflake( if the T5 reward is meaningful). Best reason to get Oklahoma easy and free now is to prevent this ship to show up in a random reward crate afterwards.. -
Here it is... New voice with ARP collaboration

Maya: Carnival Dayo confirmed ( around 1.35), now only need the missile barrage. -
If you just want to have the “best” ship available for your coal and FXP I think you already have picked 2 good ships with Georgia and Thunderer. So for the CURRENT available coal and FXP ships with your preference for BB’s and cruisers.. For coal ( you might wait for your discount coupon that gets renewed in December and use in on the most expensive ship you have in mind) Yoshino is ok. A ranged spammer with still some AP bite and some torps that can hurt the enemy ( and your own team if your not careful). Picking Yoshino takes away the need to pick Azuma for FXP. Salem is an ok ship but not that much different then her silver line sibling Des Moines. Pommern will give you a complete other playstyle then your current 2 premium ships. But both main gun accuracy and pen might disappoint you. Moskwa ( in case you missed the conversion) has her special playstyle too like almost a supercruiser with fastreloading guns that can bring pain. Alaska is the current best pick out of the 3 supercruisers available for FXP. Agir is fun too but I think Alaska is just more reliable and stable. If you have the FXP and coal burning in your pocket you might consider to buy some cheaper ships like Kirov ( did you miss her and Moskwa when they got converted?), Oktober revolution, or even Aigle or Blysk and wait for that discount coupon to be ready in December. You will get more coal during the snowflake event anyway. Benefit is that if you are lucky with a free ship drop you won’t get a a ship that you could have easily gotten cheap with a free currency. Nelson for 375 FXP is also still a very good buy from the past when T9 coal ships only costed 750 k FXP...

Yes, I was surprisingly enjoying the last week of wow without any tasks left. Got Kansas and enough tokens for the permanent camo...no remaining must do’s like in the old days when events were special and you only had 100% win bonuses in the weekend. Now with the part 2 the tasks are almost relaxing like there is no real task to do. Yes next 5 weeks there will be missions that require some more attention but stil.. finished this weeks first set even before collecting my 2nd daily crate... But one thing bothers me a bit. I get 27 crates/ collection items out of these missions and another 4 from daily rewards..that’s 31 in total if I ignore the twitch missions. Means that with 16 unique collections and with a one to four ratio of changing duplicates I need 11 immediate unique collection items and can have a max of 20 duplicates to reach 16. So if you do some math what are the odds to complete the mission without twitch crates?
-
yes the usual grind base xp in a game from 1200 up towards 1600. Each step is 200K silver, final meta reward is one container.

Preemptive Complaint about Christmas Dockyard Event (Hizen)
Jvd2000 replied to Sunleader's topic in General Discussion
Looking at the missions of phase 2 of US battleships, they are over the top easy. They only give 27 crates / colections items for which you need 16 to get the main prize Oklahoma (T5 US BB).duplicates go 4 to 1 if you miss some. Four more collection items are from daily rewards and more from twitch (missions). So rewards is rather low but still 6 weeks long of easy tasks. I wont count on the missions for Hizen to be this laughable. if the mission dificulty of Odin or Anchorage are to be taken into account, i would find them acceptable to be likewise for Hizen...But with another 4 extra phases to grind (18 vs 22). For me this kind of requirements would be acceptable. But i hope they are not close to the PR slave labor requirements.. And somehow if fear the missions will be lesser then PR but still a nod tougher then we were used to with Odin etc.. My guess is that the more you progress during the event and new missions unlock by the week they get more difficult while the time to complete them narrows down. This is not unusual but i might see that the last group of missions have only like 2 weeks to finish ( but only if you have finished the former group of misions in time) so you might be forced to buy more then just 4 phases. And since you invested a lot of effort already players might buy it as not to "lose" their investments... One thing to be taken into account is that we have 2 other temporary campaigns going alongside our Hizen dockyard event centrered around Strassbourg... Much depends on missions either having mutual progress posibilities or having excluding requirements... -
Well in theory PR was not sold and available for event points by "just doing slavelabour" during the missions on a very thight time frame..

Good point. And gives more value to the remark of WG that ARP Yamato is liable to have changes in the future. Just a disclaimer already in place...even if ARP Yamato might be the first T10 not available for free ingame currencies...and then still has the liability to be balanced if the silver line Yamato ever be changed.
-
I understood that the difference between a normal premium ship and the tier 10 premium ships ( now called by WG special ships) are that both have the benefit that you can swap any captain without retraining and have a discount on cost after a battle. But special ships lack some inherent xp and credit bonuses that normal premiums have. So in fact special ships are somewhat inferior in comparison with real premium ships. They are still better then silver ships due to the fact that you can use any captain on them and their T10 gives them a nice 100% xp boost and a50% cost reduction..But true premiums they are not. That’s why true money grinding and xp farming goes better in a T9 premium then a T10 special. Maybe even T8 premiums outperform them.. Why WG created this special class? They can say they kept their word in not creating T10 premiums by calling them different?

How is your "TimeTable" for obtaining "Coal" ships via "Armory"...
Jvd2000 replied to Leo_Apollo11's topic in General Discussion
Yes it seems to be the case since each type has its own distinct set of capabilities. But you can only use it on one silver main ship, the captain is still fixed to one silver ship max. So Lutjens will be placed on Hindenburg, and will be usable on any premium other ship. His cruiser spec ( the Hindenburg one) for cruisers, his DD spec on al dd’s, etc. But you cannot use his BB spec on a Bismarck then..only premiums like Tirpitz or Odin. So the benefit of having a special commander and having premiums of all four classes will be beneficial. 21 points of Kuznetsov sailing Kremlin, Slava, Lenin, Stalingrad, Bagration Neustrashimy and that Soviet supercarrier that’s around to be released . -
None are high on my priority list. The two DD,s are tier 9 and will cost almost the same as the Pommern which I rank higher on the” I want “ list. Yoshino takes precedence too because older/ container from snowflakes. Depending on the coal cost of the Flint ( Blysk was around 70/80 k coal?) might buy that one out of a precaution to prevent receiving this ship in a reward container. After these 3 I might start to look at Black and Neustrashimy...if no other coal ships are released before...

How is your "TimeTable" for obtaining "Coal" ships via "Armory"...
Jvd2000 replied to Leo_Apollo11's topic in General Discussion
Not currently have access to my date on history but I am quite mathematical in my approach on getting ships from “ free currency” including coal. Main rule: 1. Buy old ships first ( old ships might get removed first by WG and complete collection > preferred ship) to some account 2. Use the 2 coupons each year on the most expensive ship you plan to buy. With steel ship takes higher priority over coal. 3. Buy admiral when you used your coupon already and the remaining ships are all relatively young. Remaining coal ships Yoshino, Pommern. Remaining captains: Lutjens. Purchase record: ( top most recent) Marceau ( for the extra SC snowflake crate during anniversary event) Bourgogne ( with coupon, not coal but took the coupon and thus i spent most coal on admirals since they never come with a discount) Admiral Cunningham Admiral Kutnetzov 2019 Blyskawica ( purchased when available for coal to prevent it from dropping from Xmas crates) Thunderer ( dec 2019 coupon ) Smolensk ( coupon early 2019) Georgia JB Salem Moskwa and Kirov where not purchased for coal. Okt. Rev and Aigle were obtained through other means. Other small fry either already had or purchased along. Currently 60k coal, around 40k a month expect another 60k from dec 2020 snowflakes. Will be able to buy Yoshino around Xmas 2020 with new coupon since that ship is getting old... Afterwards will buy Flint when available ( to prevent it from dropping from my KOTS container). Then Pommern before Black and Neustrashimy but then we are talking second half 2021 and who knows... -
The earlier T9 Freemium ships were sold directly for cash before. I have seen JB, Alaska, Pommern and the likes directly for cash in shop. And PR was indirectly available for you too. Buy several batches of doubloons and just buy the 3 start up buildings and either ( if you wanted the ship immediately) buy the missing phases for doubloons or wait a bit longer and let the progress tick and buy the missing steps then. The ARP ships are a collaboration. Both WG and ARP want to benefit. Exchanging these ships for ingame currency does not work. Coal, steel or RB cannot be bought ( in the requiring quantities). FXP might work, but the ARP will be only available for so long and the population that wants to buy “weeb” ships is limited already. So 3 options imo. Direct cash with a ridiculous super package with all 3 captains / ships ( or camo)..or worse including the older ships... Gambling with rng crates but that seems rather unlikely with a T10 as prize. And one of the main prizes ( the Musashi camo) will be only usefull to a few.. Combination of paying and playing. But even unlikely to get Maya for free. Yes Takao was free once, but last time was cash only. My hope is not a repeat from last time AL where you had to rng to get your captain with the risk of getting duplicates.. its going to be filthy expensive.. my guess, 170€ plus if you want the new content.

Comparison of "Snowflakes 2018" and "Snowflakes 2019" to upcoming "Snowflakes 2020"...
Jvd2000 replied to Leo_Apollo11's topic in General Discussion
After 200+ co op games you will be braindead anyway...although suffering player “quality” on the average random battle might already accomplished that
