Always took the 100 coal option…This week Narai ( Weimar, 50% credit bonus camo plus all flags) earned me the silver to pay for a fully upgraded Yugumo and Delny with all modules. I still have Venezia, Preussen, Goliath and Petro researched but without needed cash. And 4 more T9 DD’s. That’s close to 200 mil silver. Plus then the future to be researched 5 T10 DD’s, 4 T10 CV, the T9 and T10 German bc plus Pan Asian cruiser from T8 onward. I keep all ships T5 plus. Might play more premium T8 if things get to ruff at T9”

As a very mediocre cv player I do advice to play one nation cv at the time. The differences between weapon types but also drop patterns, torp spread and speed as well as time to aim and arm need to be taken into account. Having to anticipate the way a CV handles requires you to know in advance all specifics of the available cv’s. Better to just focus on one or 2 cv at the time.

From an economic pov: I rather have a coal ship then a 175k coal admiral. But I prefer to buy expensive coal ships ( T9 and plus) only with the 25% coupon. Normally my coal income each 1/2 year ( new coupon) is more then the reduced prize of a T10. So I have coal to spare. That spare coal either goes into low tier coal ships ( all done), the 35k special captains ( all done) or saved up for the 175 legendary admirals ( all done since I only missed Cunningham and had to buy Lutjens) . Priority coal: Save up a healthy amount off coal so you have enough reserve to prevent being without coal after just spending all and WG announces the removal of another ship. Each half year cycle: T10 ( And Neustrashimy) coal with coupon ( old ones before new) / Coupon used for steel ship. If no T10 left T9 with coupon Low tier coal ships / 35k captains Admirals 175k coal modules/ crates T9 ships full prize.

The max amount is 100. Good enough for 1 out of 2 premium ship and a container. Then if you want more.. there are 4 packages that give you 30 tokens and some extra’s. These tokens are your only way together a second ship. Still will cost you 5k doubloons for a T6 ( which is ok ish depending on some extra goodies you get vs direct doubloon cost ). If your goal is to farm rng crates the 2500D token packages give you some extra’s but buying the crates in larger bundles give you a discount. My advice. Keep it free and take the one premium you like. If you really want that second cruiser 5 k doubloons is not that bad and you get some extra FXP, coal, silver, cpt xp and camo’s depending on your choice. I you intend to go max and farm the 5% for a T10 ship crates….well it’s your money. WG won’t mind..

Don’t see reason for the entitled little people to complain. It’s a repeat of what we have seen before with De Ruyter, the T4 ITA BB, and the Moltke. If you ignore the extra months of early early access it’s just a gained value of less then 1 million silver, a low point captain and a port place the moment you have to buy the T4 again with the event tokens. So it’s a fixed small gain vs a rng prime reward that we also sometimes get. Which for me ends up with either camo or flags and thus even value lower then this “ fixed” small reward. I pay 2,5 € for my monthly subscription for the TV and Amazon extra’s. The bonuses for WOWS and other games are just extra’s. Like really thanks for the bonus, one million silver for just clicking a button, yes please. Yes maybe I like the excitement for the rng roll ( and the meh feeling after I rolled not the premium) but the ship, even a silver T4, is welcome too.

Best news is the more historical accurate upgrade of Atago’s AA guns. And that of the different Atago clones. Not that it will be effective against our CV friends ( going from absolute crap for even JPN standards at that tier towards average JPN weak AA) but atleast one more blatant “ wrong” has been repaired. Many more are still left to be repaired but one positive step it is.

Azuma has the benefit of not having torps…Even with team dmg gone not having torps in the first place takes away the urge of some of the players to “ mUsT USE TorpS!!” even if I have to show broadside to the entire enemy team.. But if you can control this urge Yoshino is indeed better for the tier.

The auction event if the Schlieffen gave WG to positive vibe to citadel an even larger part of the population in the wallet. With Schlieffen you had to gamble on what you were willing to pay and both the limited amount plus the idea of “ competition “ with fellow whales pushed the prizes. But WG looses all the lower bids because of only limited Schlieffen’s. For Jinan the match is a bit more straightforward. A bit rng is included in the collection of the tokens but then it’s just a flat 20k doubloons. So there is no limit on the number of whales being allowed to dump their money at WG. Although in comparison with Schlieffen the Jinan would be a less prestigious ship to get in early access.

I have a Gremyashi ( forced the drop around 3 yrs ago with Santa) and while it has the chance to surprise enemies that expect only 4 km short range torps its not as good as the Kamikaze. And Kamikaze R was released in rather large amounts into the server with the event. How many times do we actually see a Grem? Hardly encounter them. 10 or 50 more extra on the EU server will hardly make a difference. Those Kamikaze’s are still more capable to ruin your day. A Grem can do so too, but it needs a better player. And a better player would beat the average braindrain player anyway. If some players are really motivated to hand over their money to WG let them. WG has the right to offer the ship, they are in their right ( and out of their mind?) to hand over their money for some semi-exclusive pixels. The upset playerbase that has problems accepting this has no actual reason to be so except for pure pettiness. This is a capitalist society. Money buys you a bigger house, preferential treatment and a faster car. And now a Gremyashi. Which indeed might give you an edge in a game over players with “ normal” ships. But then you can also take a free CV and crap on your opponent even better.

No, even when you do all missions possible that give your these tokens plus the max of another 3000 tokens when converting CT you are still a few thousand short. Imo even worse, this weeks final ( 4th) round has some tough grindy missions ( like 47k ish BXP) plus 160k CXP ( that for some reason excludes the use of scenarios so that Weimar farming in Narai does not help) . Even getting the T7 ship for free is quite a grind and thus the T7 camo too since you need this weeks tokens to unlock the T7 camo.

Thanks for finding out the requirements of the mission. Not that interested in the camo and decided that I want it for pure collection reasons. But not worth a difficult grind for me.The direct buy saves me from a lot of grinding. Happy to get the camo the easy way..The few CT tokens that I lost I am happy to donate to WG so they can put them somewhere else…

I always try to reset my dakka jpn dd line atleast 3 times with the double bonus for a total of 6 times the RB value. I try to match the cashing in of RB ( actual playing the line to get the RB points) with upcoming snowflake events. So that I have the ships of the jap dd line in port plus the RB to buy that T10 RB ship for those snowflake rewards. Although that leaves me in short time between the wows anniversary event and the Xmas snowflakes. Never actually play the ships but go FXP all the way. ( ok a few coop games to unlock the actual RB points when I cash in). With no new FXP ships released and Hayate gained by a Santa crate I have a lot more FXP to spend then required once for the 3 months RB reset. This way it saves me a lot of credits because I am broke. Spending FXP for just a single 10200 RB ( so without the double bonus) seems a bit of a waste. Rather use this FXP to boost the few remaining T9 lines to T10.

For the World of Warships players that use Steam: Today ( 28 Jan) a new free “ Lunar” dlc package was added to the wows page on Steam. It gives 3 basic lunar crates. It’s a bit hidden and very easy to be overlooked. There is also a welcome packaged dated sept 21 that that gives some credit and collection creates. Just click and cash in. ps I am a non Steam plebs player myself but was graciously informed by my Steam clanmate out of pure kindness.

Most probably the extras on Steam are contractual required by Steam. For WG making use of the Steam platform they (WG) have to give occasional extra goodies to the Steam users. These rewards are small. Some years ago Steam users really had some nice Black Friday discounts on premiums. Problem is that Amazon and Twitch are choices.. Steam requires a different setup and if you already have a “ matured” WG non Steam account having to start all over with a new WOWS Steam account is hard to do.

Not announced. Currently the number of coal ships have been steadily increasing with another US dd soon to be released and 2 former silver line ships joining the coal armada. The number of steel ships is also slowly increasing as are the RB ships. Free XP ships are dying. On the other side many coal ships have been removed but that has been some time now. As for steel ships only Somers was removed, Black is to be re released in a weakened form and 3 others became coal ships. But again some time ago. RB ships have yet to be withdrawn. So yes ships might be withdrawn but WG tries to give a warning of around 3 months in advance. Mostly ships have been withdrawn because OP or too populair. Or the oldest. If those 3 months are enough to earn currency depends on your savings the moment it is announced, type of currency and you capability to earn it. My guess high risk ships: coal Salem and Yoshino are the oldest. Pommern and Yoshino have a Black version. Steel : Stalingrad and Bourgogne

Only have the Southern Dragon. Have the other 4 ARP clones though. I have kept the special captain on his own dragon ship. But for the rest both ship and captain are used 2 times a year for snowflakes. Would not care if both ship and captain remain JPN or get transferred to Pan Asia. Although a transfer to pan Asia would grant me access to a T7 premium for that line which can be used in Narai. For captain leveling this might be a a benefit. ( although with many 21 point captains you can always indirectly boost captain xp)

Received Florida in a Santa crate last year. As a T7 their main value is based on Narai usability. She is definitely not one of my main super ships for this scenario. Weimar, München and even Duca for the spawn rush. She is also no Scharnhorst or DoY. But since I was lacking a good US BB ( cannot stand the slow speed of California) she does allright. Like you have great premium BB’s for Narai, bad ones and ships that are ok for a run once in a while after you used up the daily win bonus of the good ones. Florida falls in the last category.

Algerie is already in the game as the last real T7 French CA build. While you could fill in a French T5 ( Duquesne class ) and T6 CA ( Suffren class) for a complete CA French line from T5 up to T10 you be left with a gap on the CL line. You have ( almost) real ships up to tier 6, as represented currently. And then the De Grasse class as a T6 premium. Maybe gimmick another De Grasse as a T7…and then WG imagination up to T10? Rather have a Duquesne and Suffren as premiums..Although they do not seem really exiting material in the first place..maybe good enough for WG to increase the pool of mediocre low tier ships as fodder for Santa crates…

I found Yukon more then ok ish in Narai. Unfortunately no special captain to grind but definitely not the worst BB to take out in this scenario. But 5 more coop games…that’s more then that one Narai and that one snow flake coop game until now

Atleast some kind of a positive twist after this Yukon drama. And since Yukon was a drop in a Santa crate I will cash it. And as long as the 5 wins can be done in coop I will get the flag too.

Looking at the prizes ( in lieu of WG announcing actual dropchance) there is a good possibility you end up with 900k silver, coal/ FXP/ 25 signals and again 900k. The first and 3 rd prize slot ( 900k silver, the 37,5k C XP or 12.500 FXP) are not that overwhelming. The second slot of rewards have some T10 ships as reward but these are all free to grind anyway. So you need to really whale hard to get a meaningful amount of ingame currency out of it ( silver, coal, XP) let alone hope to enforce ship drops. Either this is going to be a kind of reward crate ( like last Amazon prime reward) given in very limited numbers with a token chance to get a ship. Which I would be ok with. Or a very expensive rng fest depending on the dropchances for the ships. Then there is nothing on the list that I need.
