I'd ditch the 1/4 caliber HE pen in a heartbeat. No point in having the best AP alpha for its caliber only to barely ever use it. That was one of the most nonsensical attempts to railroad a line into a gameplay niche they so blatantly weren't designed for, which is hilariously ironic for obvious reasons. Normal 1/6 caliber HE pen in exchange for more consistent AP performance is something I'd consider a fair trade. And I don't give much stuck into what WG is willing to gimmick the german CAs into, they've proven themselves to not have much of a clue with how to diversify the growing list of ship lines.

Point still stands, there's a notable difference in AP efficacy and it's not in favour of german CAs. And 15km is right in the ballpark for average cruiser engagement distances at high tier.

What you fail to understand is that this website comes in a couple different language sections, including Italian. Considering we look at up to ~150mm mainbelt armour on CAs, having barely enough penetration to get through a flat broadside vs having half again as much penetration to spare for adjusted effective thickness at non-broadside impact angles is kind of a noticable difference. With 169mm armour penetration you'll shatter on any 150mm armour plating with an impact angle ~28° from perfect broadside (effective armour at 28° slope is just barely under 170mm). With 220mm penetration you'll start shatter at an impact angle ~47° from perfect broadside (effective armour at 47° slope is just barely under 220mm), which is already in the territory where AP shots start bouncing anyway if you get unlucky RNG rolls.

Extremely! One of the better comedy series I've watched. It won't toss you off the chair wheezing in laughter, but it delivers the chuckles like few other such shows. It also has a pretty decent story and interesting characters which is a huge bonus. The fight choreographies are also neat even if they aren't the focus and thus a bit short compared to everything else. Wholeheartedly recommended!

Correction: it doesn't care about fires. It still very much cares plenty about raw HE alpha and that one Zao volley that sets three fires on you is also going to chunk you for 8-10k regardless of fires.

Has anyone managed to get into a battle? So far the only thing we get when starting the battle is the division status changes to "in battle" but we're still looking at our ports without ever getting into the queue screen, nevermind a battle. Guess the technical difficulties that led to yesterdays testing period being cancelled have not been resolved. @MrConway, @Crysantos Welp, todays session cancelled due to technical difficulties aswell. Of note is the 25th (this thursday) is going to be another test session, plus the originally planned 27th and 28th.

Ah, but that's not what he said. Or at least it's not the only way to interpret it. The way I understood his comment it meant that germans are allowed to to be proud of their soldiers in a more individualistic sense. Not be proud of their accomplishments as far as the wars and their agenda went, but for their individual perseverence and bravery in the face of adversity, be it rightful or just happenstance. Especially under the light that the vast majority of said soldiers didn't sign up on their own accord but where conscripted and just had to make due. And his original statement from the same comment: Seems to be validating that impression as far as I'm concerned. It's debatable as far as the "some units" is an appropriate condition, but imo that would be beside the point he was making.

In my experience not any more than other BB AP. Both from recieving and delivering perspective. What the Montana in particular has however is broadside weight plus a pretty decent accuracy which simply means chances of it happening with her are greater.

Also (an apologies for the late edit but it's really been rubbing me the wrong way) it's downright ignorant to reduce the topic on german soldiers on just such: You do realize that the Wehrmacht was a conscription army, yes? The vast majority of people didn't actually sign up for wars of aggression (neither in WW1 or 2 for that matter), commit genocide and all that nasty stuff that WW2 turned up to be. They got drafted and send along to do the fighting. Sure enough plenty people were wholly on board with the Nazi agenda and many, oh so many more turned a blind eye, but reducing literally everything down to just those atrocities is just as disrespectful to the hundreds of thousands of people who just tried to get through that madness in one piece, or the ones who genuinely fought to keep family and friends back in the country save from what they thought would happen if they lost (atrocities that mind you DID eventually happen in turn). I would also point out that the comment you responded to said to be proud of soldiers, not an agenda for which they might have fought, which is an important distinction and downright demonizing such a huge number of people is hardly a fair reaction.
