  1. Because the price increase would hit the less active part of the playerbase much harder than those who play more regularily. Plus those camouflages with XP bonuses were also regularily being sold in the premium shop. It simply wouldn't be an equal price increase across the board. And once more, the whole thing with active players having stupendous amounts of free XP is entirely selfmade by WG so rather than increase the pricing to leech away at their free XP hoards it would've made much more sense simply not powercreeping signal flags and camouflages into giving more and more free XP bonuses. I remember when camouflages were good when they gave +50% free XP and amazing when they gave +100% ... these times we have camouflages with +777% free XP. Why? Just so they can sell them on the premium shop with no worry about the ensueing free XP inflation and now we have this argument. Basic economics. I'd also want to make the point that I'm not saying this because I don't have free XP, I have well over four million and could afford even inflated price a couple times over.
  2. If Alaska goes free XP, as a fellow tier IX it should be 750k free XP just the same as the previous free XP premiums. Sure WG set a precedent with the Jean Bart for infalting its coal price compared to the Musashi but I'm pretty certain that's mostly due to driving more people to buy the ship in the premium shop rather than farm coal for a good while. So unless WG also wants to sell the Alaska in the premium shop, which personally I'd give a 50/50 chance due to the backlash from the Jean Bart being sold though obviously WG might just look at the NA market and think "easy rubels, comrade", I wouldn't expect an increased free XP pricing. The argument about how easy it is to get lots of free XP with premium signal flags and camouflages imho is irrelevant as that's an entirely selfmade problem by WG given how they've been throwing those around and using that as an excuse to charge more than before would no doubt upset a good chunk of players that don't play as often and run premium time plus all the premium shenanigans to hoard as much free XP as the more active players. But considering all that is what I'd quantify as common sense, WG being WG I wouldn't be surprised if they pull another stunt entirely ...

    Customizable loadouts has been asked for since long ago already. Each time WG said they'll forward it to the devs, nothing ever changed except ships getting more and more consumables to use. So realistically, it's not going to happen.

  11. Honestly I doN't thing much would change if anything. A couple players would improve marginally and the hopeless potatoes would still miss despite a literal "point here and click" showing them how to simply because they have no idea what the UI is trying to tell them. Literally the only advantage such an aim-assist provides is that you can spare yourself the lead anticipation. And quite honestly I image any good player already aims by the time-to-reach-target so getting the lead right on the first shot is hardly difficult. Worst case scenario would be someone playing a completely new ship being unfamiliar with the ballistics but even there just going by the time-to-reach-target indicator is enough and even then it only takes a couple salvoes to get familiar with the ballistics.

  13. First of all, linking to websites distributing cheats isn't allowed. Secondly, most of those cheats are simple scams that just put some shiny lines on the UI that serve no purpose and provide no more information than the game already does, but look shiny to gullible people that have no idea how the game works. In most cases you're paying for literally nothing and probably downloaded a suite of sweet sweet malware on top. And if you're not paying for anything, you're almost certainly just downloading a malware package. Thirdly and case in point, the most important aspects of the game simply can't be cheated because the client (that's you and all the data on your PC at any given moment) simply doesn't get the data from the server, for example detection: it's impossible to cheat the spotting mechanics and make unspotted ships show up because the data a cheat would need to read and display those informations isn't sent from the server to the client all the time, it's only sent when you're supposed to spot them. Any actually functional "h4x" out there are of cosmetic natures (making some informations more easily readable, or say exchanging ship skins to depict the armour zones/citadel hitboxes) that have absolutely no impact on actual gameplay mechanics, or the much vaunted aim-assist that's being horribly overestimated by literally everyone I've seen complaining about "aimbots", etc. because it still doesn't help against random shot deviation or simple WASD.

    I'm just going to take the chance here and ask: When does WG plan on the next Clan Battles season to go live? I'd hope not over the christmas season with people spending more time with families, etc.. Is there any current schedule or has that been postponed until the cross server MM has been ironed out? If the latter, how soon would you say (tentatively, no guarantees of course) we'd be looking at the next Clan Battles season to come around?

    To be fair, I wouldn't trust WG to know what optimal values for ships were. If they did we wouldn't have to facepalm at something with basically every new balance patch. I wouldn't actually be opposed if CE were to be removed without actually adjusting concealment values for a start. Would imho even be a flat improvement in some cases, such as eliminating the ability of some ships being able to radar from stealth and granting a bigger spotting window for DDs against the rest. Would also increase the average engagement distance between DDs and give those with mediocre dpm but better ballistics more of a fighting chance against dpm monsters with poor ballistics (think Shima vs Gearing/Yue Yang for example).

    Pretty sure you there's at least enough material to fill the cruiser and battleship line up to tier VIII without having to look for esoteric blueprints. DDs I'm actually not that sure because the RM had more of a thing for torpedoboats for a long time so the DD tree might need a bit fixing up here and there to fill gaps for proper tiering but yeah, overall there really shouldn't be much of a problem getting them into the game.

  21. Like I said earlier, I wouldn't even be opposed if WG wanted to test an AP-only CA approach. Remove HE entirely and give them the same obscene RN CL penetration angles and low fuze delay, test that internally, on PTS and if it works I'd be totally game with that.
