Black Friday Missions, 50k BASE XP

Pretty sure you can even exceed your total XP if you stack enough of the special signals and put one of the ludicrous free XP camouflages on.

At what time of the day did you play?

    BB *edit

Oh looks, he's back again and still complaining about fires.

Black Friday Missions, 50k BASE XP

There's lots of camouflages and signal flags that give free XP bonuses that you can stack. On a decent enough match with first win of the day and all the other bonuses you can get 10k+ free XP in a single game.

    Blacklist limit

Pretty sure there is. Or alternatively I've come across people who've got stat trackers on speed dial considering how fast I've seen people declare a game lost before the match start countdown ticked to zero.

    Inbound weaboo.

Read the pinned topics in this newcomers' forum section. Some information is a bit dated, but the basics still remain true. Play every ship class to some degree (you can skimp on playing CVs as they're being reworked right now, plus the basics on how to migitate CV strikes are pretty straightforward) so you get a feel of each class' gameplay quirks. Even if you want to stick to one particular class for now, knowing your opposition is a massive help. I recommend the IJN cruisers, IJN DDs and US DDs as they cover a solid scpectrum of typical gameplay you might encounter (IJN cruisers give a solid feel on how heavy cruisers play, IJN DDs teach you to expect unseen torpedoes, US DDs teach you to stay vigilant for ambushes and how to handle angry smokescreens). Watch some Youtube guides/commentaries like say iChaseGaming's Captain's Academy or Flamu's gameplay commentaries. They offer excellent insight into game mechanics and how to make the most out of specific classes in a variety of situations. The information is also a bit less tedious to acquire than reading through the wiki.

Black Friday Missions, 50k BASE XP

Actually I checked and if the news article pictures are following the same logic as with previous containers, then they aren't the same, i.e.: lowered ship drop chances for non-premium shop containers.
  8. Translation: We have no confidence in the CV rework actually attracting more players to the class, so we're gutting the tiering to make it easier for MM. We also have no idea on how to balance CVs well enough to create a linear progression in a full tier IV-X tree. We also don't care that the AA system will be the same all-or-nothing as before with CVs having a higher chance on being seeded on the extreme ends of MM (bottom- or top-tier). Likewise we haven't even thought about how this would impact divisions with CVs, so we better not even talk about that at all, let's hope y'all too stupid to notice. What a load of bollocks, WG.

Black Friday Missions, 50k BASE XP

Considering it's possible to get tier VIII premium ships out of those crates and the individual mission stages aren't timegated, I find the 50k to be a bit steep personally if I were to look at it from the average joe perspective, but for once not completely out of proportion like the otherwise infamous EU mission requirements of old. At least here you aren't jumping through those hoops for 5 Equal Speed Charlie Londons (though obviously getting a premium ship still requires a lot of luck). Two weeks time seems about an appropriate timeframe aswell considering the first three stages can be done in a jiffy if you stack enough camouflages/signal flags. Plus clan battles actually count aswell, that's a yay.

    What IJN BS is this?

I'm just going to say "WG UI".

Get pinky and go for 12 battles in coop

Nevermind that getting limited to CoOp only also means he's been a repeat offender because you can get pink without being instantly send to CoOplag. Solution to OP's problem: try to hit the enemy more often than your allies.

    What IJN BS is this?

Apparently it is a Tirpitz Black though, because IDS_PGSB598 is that ship's ID code and the HP (69300) also fits.

    G. Kurfurst

Not limited to the GK, afaik can happen to pretty much every ship in the game. Had it happen to me on a couple different ships. By the way, you probably want to post this here: https://forum.worldofwarships.eu/forum/484-current-update/ and use the pinned bug report template to add informations where available to make it easier for the devs.
  15. Colour me genuinely surprised ... I fully expected to see non-purchaseable premiums such as the CVs, Belfast, Imperator, etc. as baits for that bundle (and naturally ONLY for that bundle), as it had been the case in previous Armada bundles. Let's see if they can keep that up or if they still use them as bait for the inevitable christmas containers.
  16. You know what, at this point I don't even. How would this even work with MM? Is it +/-3 for CVs then? Or will this usher in a new era of CV division anchoring or fail divisions alternatively?

    Big Bug

Well, bots always know your position and are pretty damn good at dodging torps and shooting stuff (filthy aimbotting scrubs!). But they're pretty straightforward and basically just always rush at the nearest enemy so they're pretty predictable and easy to kill by just pumping shots into their side as they're trying to run down someone else.

The Azuma (The Poor Man's Stalingrad)

Commie-Team: Guys, they want a torp boat! Balans-Comrade: Welp, we were going to give the Azumayakosky torps anyway, soo ... Commie-Team: Here, Azuma now got torps, it's now a torpboat! Playerbase: But- Commie-Team: IS TORPBOAT, DA!!!

Make Concealment Expert tier 1 or 2 skill

I didn't mean that, I just expressed my doubts at WG's ability to rework the skill system into something considerably better. In lieu of that, we'd just have to try and find working compromises in how skills are balanced and with what other skills they compete.
  21. Aotearas

Make Concealment Expert tier 1 or 2 skill

Wouldn't disagree, but quite frankly I don't think it would be possible to make a satisfyingly adaptable skill system without it turning unnecessary complex or into a massive grindfiesta with say multiple tiers per skill to choose and level. And I just have to listen to the horror stories about WoT crew skills to know that WG is probably better advised to keep the system simple as it is. Not quite: Says right there. And OP might've singled out CE, but it's by no means the only culprit in the dilemma and it wouldn't make much sense to just agree on changing CE, only to end up having the same discussion for all the other important skills seperately, now would it?

Make Concealment Expert tier 1 or 2 skill

Well, it's obviously just a rough idea to make the skill a valuable pick for all classes instead of just mandatory for DDs. Actual numbers and if it would be a straight up HP buff for everything is up to debate, other option could be to improve the amount of HP a DRP could heal and/or improving the amount of heavy/citadel damage a DRP could heal back for example. The discussion is about making more captain builds viable. In that regard CE isn't the only skill that would need to be looked at so we're very much still on-topic I'd say.

Make Concealment Expert tier 1 or 2 skill

I would personally change SE into giving HP bonuses based on class and tier. So DDs get the usual 350 HP per tier, CL/CAs would get say 1000 per tier (almost but not quite one BB AP citadel), BBs would get say 2000 per tier and CVs get instead aircraft HP ... make that whole thing cost 4 captain skill points. Would make the skill much more relevant for all classes and actually be a viable pick to improve survivability. Just a rough idea obviously.
