Old bug. If you used any mods, run the game in safe mode to see if the problem persists. If not, it's likely the mods that were the culprit and search for newer versions or uninstall them. You can also run the check game integrity from the launcher settings to see if it detects anything with the gamefiles. Sometimes updates don't install correctly and you end up with corrupted files, etc.. If nothing of the above helps, a clean install is your best bet to at least make sure the problem isn't caused on your end. If the problem still persists after that it's time to get into touch with WG support and have them check if there's any problem on their end they can find though they'll obviously have you jump through the usual "have you tried turning it off and on again" procedure. If you're confident on your troubleshooting skills, you can ask support to escalate your case straight up to the specialists that will get a bit more hands-on with the issue, but that will require you being able to provide data and possibly having to run monitoring applications and then send copious amounts of data in the form of crashdumps, etc. to them, intersected with long periods of waiting for a response. Something you can also check is your internet connection with pingplotter, etc.. If the client-to-server connection is having issues it can result in the same issues of simply not loading into the battle.

IJN cruisers are probably the best to start since they have a pretty straightforward progression and are all around competent ships without any notable stinkers in between. It also ends in the excellent Zao.

To be fair, that never was a problem with the game mode, but how horribly the map was designed. After the map got changed, it's a pretty damn solid combination, moreso than even Domination imo. Epicenter in general is a great mode if paired with a map that facilitates a centralized action, mostly just put down by the randoms' inability to cooperate in any meaningful manner.

The most memorable case of getting the hell out of dodge however was 9 people in proper process of polishing their raging murderboner with me as their pin-up model. Courtesy of the forumite on the enemy team no doubt (sadly it's been a while and I forgot who it was) and what must've been one of the few rare occasions of random people actually working together. I barely got out of there alive with double digits worth of HP left.

Hardly any point in speccing Manual Secondaries because the ship basically already comes with that built in (unless I'm seriously misremembering something here). Using IFHE will allow the 127mm secondaries to pen 27mm of armour (as opposed to 20mm stock) which lets you damage many cruisers in your MM bracket that would otherwise be mostly immune to direct damage from the secondaries. It also allows you to damage most tier VI and VII BB hulls which can add up REALLY fast in nasty damage scores.

Some dates are however less convenient for more people. Some of those same dates can also easily be planned around for convenience's sake. I mean, it's not as if christmas season just snuck into the schedule out of the blue as an example, nor should it come to anyone's surprise that among the playerbase on the EU server, christmas season isn't exactly a trivially localized phenomenon. I'm not saying WG has to somehow bend over backwards and make the perfect schedule for everyone, but it shouldn't be too hard to steer clear from scheduling a competitive event that by its very nature requires lots of people to organize and come together on a regular basis during the year's single primetime family and festivity season. They could run Ranked if they absolutely must have a competitive season, it's a LOT easier for a single individual to make some time in their own schedule over this period than have 7+ people clear time to show up at WG's scheduled CB sessions.

Well, you don't run the world however so no one is obliged to play by your rules. The rules that actually apply are WG's and by extension, common sense and decency (which sadly isn't quite as common as the name implies). So how about simply not trying to be judge, jury and executioner to people you think are cheating? You can grumble under your breath how you don't like it, but that's as far as you can go without making an arse out of yourself.

Not really. Especially in the low tiers it's almost guarenteed to have been a case of a bunch of people just wanting to have some wild fun. Probably counted down on TS or another voice-chat to try and get into the same battle, but that's about it. Been there, done that and had heaps of fun trying to sink my clanmates in a secondary specced Mikasa. Besides that, if we're talking the really low tiers (I-III), it's probably even more fair to the rest of the players in the match, because it means the more experienced ones having their fun won't go out of their way to farm any newbies that would otherwise be easy prey (and a possibly frustrating experience for new players getting roflstomped by players with thousands of games under their belts). And all that aside, missions in WoWs aren't really conductive to rigging match behaviour and on the off chance that someone might actually try something like this (there's always some scumbags everywhere), you'd have to be lucky to get into the same match even when counting down over voice-chat AND then get into a suitable ingame situation where you could even attempt to start something fishy without other players getting in the way simply by playing the game normally. The odds of getting this to work should be hilariously low and I haven't seen a mission yet in this game that would be difficult enough to warrant that kind of effort or would even be possible to rig in one's favour if you tried.

With the exception of the Black's, there isn't a single torpedo in the game slower than ships in its tier spread, which means it's literally impossible for anyone to run into your torpedoes unless you fired them from well behind your allies in a way that could hit them. That makes it your responsibility to make sure this doesn't happen, which involves taking a look in the general direction of where you're trying to launch your torpedoes and making sure there's no ally around that could catch them instead.

You don't have many friends to play with, eh? I can tell you that when I see a clanmate on the other team we don't do any such silly things like rigging or declaring some sort of truce. It's civil war and I'm going to make sure he's the one going to lose it, preferably by my hand so I can rub it in (jokingly of course).

No, the fact I asked you simply means I wanted you to provide something that would back up your claims. Also, burden of proof is on your side so you can't just hand the responsibility to WG to prove you wrong. But considering you instantly invalidated everyone who'd disagree as outright delusional I can see this is going nowhere. Make sure to recycle your tinfoil after you're done with it.
