Aye. Set a division mate on fire with my secondaries and his DC and repair were both on cooldown, thankfully the enemy finished him before my fire did. Got away with it

I love shooting up the Hood with my premium Prinz Eugen. RN Cv planes are bad though, those Fairytail TBs stand no chance against any fighter squadrons, even lower tier ones just pluck them out of the sky instantly. The bonus damage to the rudder modules is sweet tho.

None of them are particularily good, though I suppose the Tachibana and Smith have the most fun-factor. Plus the Tachibana requires fewer diamonds so even if you don't like here, you can sell the ship and keep the portslot -

Now guess which one we're talking about (hint: there's even a screenshot on this page). How about you take your own advice before insulting people? -
Don't torp from second row and don't accidentionally fire upon allies. Unexpected stuff can happen and can get you pink if you TK a guy (you'd need to do some damage to turn pink without an outright TK, at which point it's deserved punishment). If you get pink for an accidential TK on a low health ally, it also means you only spend relatively little time being pink, so take it as a reminder to be more careful. As for other players' reactions, most are still in the mindset that stemmed from the old TK punishment system, where you literally had to be TKing on purpose to get pink, so naturally they don't like seeing one. It will mellow out at time. There are a couple issues with the new system still, like secondaries hitting friendly ships (setting them on fire) which you have zero control over and could cause a TK, but the examples you gave are rather clearcut mistakes on your and your friend's part, so just take it and try not to repeat the mistake.

I guess getting seeded with potato farms works in my favour. Didn't work through my first win of the day boni yet, only my Izyaslav. Techpriests need to "wololo" harder: -
What Were Your Greatest Gaming Achievements Today ?
Aotearas replied to Hanszeehock's topic in General Discussion
I won a game. No seriously, that's my greatest achievment for this day up to now. No idea what's up, but the teams I'm getting are significantly more suicidal than usual. -

And the weekly mission is not updating ... it's not like we didn't have any such issues during the Project R event, so how bloody hard can it be to get the stat tracking right when you already had firsthand experience with this stuff??? -
Also, shouldn't the title be HM Fleet, HM's Fleet or HMF?

This. TAS and Vigilance increase torpedo acquisition range, not torpedo range. Also keep in mind that when launching torpedoes at a ship that's steaming away from you requires you to have a buffer for your torpedo range (i.e.: get closer before launching) because your torpedoes have to cover a longer distance to reach the target. If in doubt, just check the ship's stats in port, all currently applied modules, upgrades andcommander skills are reflected, so what you see in the ship stats is what you get ingame (you can also press 'Ctrl' and hover your mouse over the torpedo icon on your UI and a small information window will pop-up that tells your range, useful when you switch between ships but forgot your torpedo range for example).

Grat Naval Battles - ship requirements question

Like Crooq said, it's easy (-ier) to complete with premium as with the 50% base XP bonus, you only need to achieve 1667 base XP to hit past the 2500 threshold. Other multipliers like Equal Speed Charly London or first win of the day bonus do not count for it. For 50 diamonds, you can unlock a free day of premium time (redeem via your GNB treasures), so you don't even have to pay anything for the premium provided you can make it work within that day, which should be doable. -
Which forum members have you seen in random battles?
Aotearas replied to Cobra6's topic in General Discussion
Found ShockPirat, sadly our team was a bunch of oxygen murdering potatoes so we lost hard. -
Guess someone's paying for me then. Poseidon bless his samaritan soul!

Considering the Atlanta is something unique regarding her playstyle rather than being more or less a duplicate from an existing ship, the point goes in favour for her.

What is determining a “good player?” (he/she)
Aotearas replied to Ferry_25's topic in General Discussion
Since premium is counted towards base XP rather than being a multiplier, it counts for the average XP stats. -

Shame that premium inflates the average XP stat, because then I'd agree more or less unconditionally. -
Shame that. At 20€ for a t5 premium ship I think it's too costly for my tastes. Bit of a bummer, because I very much like playing BBs and a New York with Colorado'ish AA at t5 would've been great (insert pay2win comment here), but I drew the line at anything above 15€. Well, at least my New Mexico will have some new buddies to play with in the coming days I resume.

Someone forgot to adjust 'Situational Awareness' in 0.5.5
Aotearas replied to WhiskeyWolf's topic in General Discussion
I have the lingering feeling that Tuccy has either gotten the wrong game (Sixth Sense vs Situational Awareness), or that maybe it was just a bad formulation and he meant that the 3s delay is when SA initially pops which would correspond with the game taking some time to render ships even though the game is already locking on to the hitbox as can be observed if you wait to ambush ships around an island and they were not spotted by another teammate. -
At long range BB dispersion tends to be bigger than most targets you shoot at. Typically you can only expect to get reliable hits until about two-thirds of your max range and even then unlucky RNG rolls can screw you over. Then again that is partly counteracted by the chance that a lucky RNG roll can cause massive damage salvos, so if your aim is on point, it usually balances out (unless it's one of those days when RNG hates your living guts and wants to see you squirm ... been there, done that, got salty). Anything close to maximum range should be considered as potshots and lucky if you get a (good) hit, but don't expect it. That is why po.sitioning is so much more important in a BB since you need to put yourself at a spot where you can take shots at the enemy team within a range that you can hit (and simultanously minimize the volume from return fire)

Best thing you can always do is try to play with other players, preferably experienced ones if you want to learn specifically. You can always search for the Forumites channel ingame (capital F, for some reason the search is upper case sensitive, it's the channel created by Sturmtiger, password: play4fun) and division up with people from there. The channel typically is very lively in the afternoon and evening and you should have little trouble finding people to play with. So far all the guys I've played with I've met on this channel are very helpful players and can help you out. Simple things like where to go at the start of a match for each map when you're in what ship. You won't believe how much of a difference something as basic as that can be. If possible, get on TeamSpeak with them too, again makes a massive difference and very helpful if you want tips as it goes. It's entirely normal for sunk division mates to play co-driver and give advice, or simply just warn you about things you may not have noticed. -
If it's my division, it's a troll division. If it's an enemy division, it's a fail division. If it's an allied division, it's a fail division; unless they are good, then they get promoted to troll division. And yes, Umikaze can still fail. Enemy just needs to get their heads out the Federation textbook and do a bloody Tachyon scan, petaQ!

The secret reward for collecting all the diamonds is a bottle of Old Spice: Hello Captains Look at your ship, now back to mine, now back at your ship, now back to mine. Sadly, it's not mine. But if it stopping using stock painted camouflage and switched to Type 5 it could look like mine. Look down, now back up. Where are we? You're in a match with the ship your ship could look like. What's in your port? Back at mine. I have it. It's a treasure with two codes of that thing you love. Look again. The codes are now diamonds. Anything's possible when your ship looks like Type 5 and not stock. I'm on a seahorse! -
? Tier 6 ships can see tier 8 maximum matchmaking, all within normal standards. OP divisioned up with a higher tier ship and drew the short stick. Not that being a t5 division in a t7 game is a lot more fun when most if not all ships are of a higher tier (and the performance tends to jump a little in t6, just compare Omaha with Cleveland, New York -> New Mexico to name some of the more prominent cases), but that's again just drawing the short stick and matchmaking doesn't tend to bottom tier people that often. Take it as a challenge. Being bottom tier and outperforming the toptiers is always something that makes me warm and fuzzy when I look at the end scores.
