Teamkiller (Pink) Status. Current system is not fair/logical.

First of all, the system is not only detecting teamkills. If you deal damage to teammates but not kill them, you will become pink too if you hit the threshold. It's just that an actual teamkill is weighted much more and will thus make you instantly pink. And it is entirely fair and logical. After all you're not supposed to damage your teammates. The obvious remedy would be: watch where you're shooting/torping. It's really not that hard. -

How long does it take for your game to load? It takes roughly half a minute for the squadrons to ready up, then another minute to have them all take off and bunch up. Then they have to cross the map, which is again going to take at least a full minute on the small maps, two minutes for the bigger ones. Then after they've spotted you, they have to align their strike position to get a good drop, that's again thirty seconds. We're now roughly four minutes into the game ... and you're telling me you're still at your spawn and somehow there are no allies around whose AA could help? You may want to consider upgrading your drives a bit if it takes you that long to load into the game that your team has left you AFK in the spawn.

Mate, tell that to the cruisers that I occasionally try to drop on. Manual drop as close as I can so the torps don't donk on their hulls without priming first and I can consider myself lucky if I land more than one torpedo. And that is assuming the cruiser is only turning when I'm dropping. Nevermind a cruiser that is actually turning in when he sees the planes approaching, forcing me to reposition my attack run (which also gives his AA more time to shoot down my aircraft). CV drops being unavoidable for anything other than BBs is a big fat lie!

I do know. I also know that those people quickly go from Zuiho to Ryuujou, etc. pp. and rarely linger for long in the lower tiers. And I wasn't joking about the AS Bogues, though you seem to have misunderstood the point of that part, which was indeed that the threat to non-CV ships is negligible precisely because they only have one DB squadron. And I'm still seeing Bogues much more frequent on lower tier games than I see Zuihos. All that said, CVs are the most threatening at low tiers because no ship has decent AA. In the later midtiers and especially the higher tiers, the AA gets so powerful that you basically just have to keep close to a cruiser and most CVs would rather look for a different target. The Cleveland is infamous for a reason and any t7+ cruiser with Defensive AA Fire will swat airplanes out of the sky like nothing (well okay, not the Shchors ...). If you find yourself getting focused by both enemy CVs at such higher tiers, you've either got the bad luck of getting the 1 in 1000 occasion of two random CVs actually working together, or you've been so out of position that they couldn't resist to drop on you. I play a lot of BBs and never felt like a double CV match is particularily unfair.

... Just in case I have to highlight that. The odd lower tier games I play come with CVs only a little bit more frequently than in the higher tier games and the majority of those CVs are Bogues running AS loadouts, i.e.: nothing a non-CV has to fret about much. It is however fun to watch 4 AS Bogues have a go at it on the minimap.

Aye, but most of those are AS Bogues. The only aircraft a non-CV ship is going to encounter is a DB squadron perhaps twice the entire game.

Grounded, fully broadside Montana 5km away from me: I aim straight at the waterline: And ALL MY SHOTS plunge harmlessly into the water right in front of it: RNG should at most be the difference between a lot of hits and just some hits. Or citadels or normal pens. Not what could/should have been a salvo with a couple citadels to delete the target or MISSING EVERY BLOODY SHELL!!! Sorry for the rant, but I had to get that one out of my system ASAP!

Na denn, mal schauen ob das jemand knackt: Die gesuchte Dame ist tragisch in einen jungen Mann verliebt, jedoch lebt sie und ihre Kameraden in einem Zustand eines gladiatorischem Krieges. In selbigem hat sie viele Kameraden verloren, deren Gesichter sie gegen ihres Willens immer wieder sieht, ein Umstand der in Verbinding mit der tragischen Liebe zu suizidalen Depressionen geführt hat. -
Tried it out in my games today and I have to say my gunnery was worse than using my simple eyeballs mk1 plus a bit simply math with the aiming lead. The only instance I found it actually helpful was when a destroyer was driving away at a difficult angle and I hit a salvo that I otherwise would've missed (because I'm still not good leading targets that are sailing away at a sharp angle). Though I do agree that WG should delete that from the game once and for all, on principle more than anything.

WG doesn't nerf premium ships *cougheveniftheyshouldcough* Unless of course they change a core mechanic across the entire game and don't bother to buff any inderectly nerfed ships to compensate *coughYubaricough* Anyone got some menthol drops for me?

I'm pretty sure the aiming reticule does account for ballistic trajectory ... RNG or bug, either way shouldn't be like this. And the aimpoint is shown correctly. I had aimed directly at the waterline. Likewise, you'll note the Montana is slightly angled, which means that in reverse, she's ever so slighly getting closer to me, so the effective aiming point was just teensy bit over the water line after the two seconds shell travel time are accounted for.

The chat spam is annoying as hell. if two ships didn't look (or couldn't help it) and are scraping off each other, the chat gets flooded with friendly fire notifications for each tick of ramming damage inflicted. That's just stupid. As for disincentivizing teamkilling, how about a flat XP penalty. Done a teamkill, 33% less XP for you battle. Dealt damage to teammates in a consecutive game after you've been pink? Again -33% XP. Repeat offender? Escalate the penalty, -66%. And if people really don't learn their lesson, flatout permanent ban. That's how griefers are being dealt with in every other online game, period. As much as the lowered bar for getting pink seems to deflate the meaning of it (which I personally don't understand, not causing significant team damage isn't rocket science, just watch where you're shooting!), the lowered threshold for the detection and penalties should stay as it is. The system we had before was intolerably tolerant and only the most unrepentent ingame psychopaths ever got pink.

That's the level of RNG that people shouldn't need to suck up, period! That salvo missed completely despite being a situation that could hardly be anymore perfect for me. And RNG messed it up. Not me aiming incorrectly, or good play by the enemy. it was RNG that decided that "nope, I'm going to make all those shells miss" when it could've just the same gone "here, enjoy your triple citadel, you earned it". Some RNG is no deal. But RNG that goes from one-shot-kill salvoes all the way down to everything missing is too much. FTFY.

Hmm, I wonder how WG would deal with potential smurf accounts meant to exploit the rewards. I mean, what would stop people from simply opening a new account, refer to their main account, then quickly grind to a tier VI ship (not that much work after all) to reap the rewards and then desert that account, rinse and repeat? Even more nefarious/enterprising individuals could even attempt to sell those deserted smurf accounts ("WoWS account with premium ships for sale") for for some extra bucks on the side. Are there any safeguards to prevent such stuff? -

German BBs+ tier 6 premium French BB Dunkerque stats in 0.5.9

Dunkerque as tier VI (premium) ship is an odd choice imho. Feels like WG is shooting themselves in the foot regarding the difficulty to implement a full French BB line if they go like that since that would mean the Richelieu would be teir VII and the Alsace at tier VIII ... what about tier IX and X? I'm not knowledgeable at all, but a quick Google search didn't yield anything other the Alsace. How is WG intending to fill the loose ends?
