Probably same here. In fact I checked ingame first before committing. On the otherhand, now the Blyskawica is available for 4800 Doubloons and I do have a bit more than 20000 Doubloons right now, so I can get the Tirpitz (or another tier VIII premium) and the Blyskawica and have some Doubloons to spare, or can dump the remaining 20€ gaming budget I have sitting around idly and get two tier VIII premium ships AND the Blyskawica, though that would more or less drain my Doubloons to zero. Currently in a pitched debate about that with myself. On one hand I don't want to sink money into this game on principle (not liking the pricing model at all though with the discounts they are at least not stupidly overpriced) ... on the other hand I do have that gaming budget sitting around and nothing in prospect to spend it on, soo ... Hard choices man!

Second and third volleys however -> *BAMM* -> *BAMM* -> "MUAHAHAHAHA" Also got the Kiev at ~12km who though he could straightline just because he's fast and small. 28,3 centimeters disagreed. Was with the completely new captain too, instant 15k Captain experience and just barely slipping by having an instant six point Captain

Dude, Katori. Outranges the Nassau by far, guided missile shells, negligibly slower than Nassau. That thing has to be the ultimate tier III ship right now.

Not sure if it's just pricing differences, but for me the Tirpitz is 10250 Doubloons which equates to 36,65€, so the overall worth of the ultimate Tirpitz bundle is 10250+7500+2500=20250=68,72€ which is just a teensy weeny bit cheaper than the bundle at 69,99€. If anyone is interested in a bit of trivia and/or wants to save one Euro

Well, I think the pricing is alright, so I bit the bullet and bought it (the 49.99€ bundle, not the stupidly expensive 79.99 nonsense!!!). So far, no regrets. This ship is bloody amazing.

This ship is amazing. First game, first two broadsiding cruisers, two devastating strikes back to back. This thing eats up cruisers like it's nothing. And the HE is quite potent against everything too. I will sooo go for "Demolition Expert" on this ship . AA nothing much write home about, but will shoot down some airplanes. AP actually works rather well on BBs if you aim for the superstructure or the less armoured bow or aft ends of the ship and you can expect solid ~7k damage volleys. AP is only good enough to citadel a BB at close range and with a nice flat side to shoot at, but even if you don't get a citadel, you can easily rack up ~10k+ damage volleys from normal penetrations alone. It's also fast and quite agile with the Steering Gears Mod. 2 so against cruisers you can play it like a fast battleship, or against enemy BBs like a sluggish heavy cruiser (that has enough armour to bounce even 406/410mm AP shells against an angled side of the ship). It's a fun ship and it can do very, very well! Only three games so far with meh winrate (partly due to lots and lots of derping people being around, average player quality has certainly taking a plunge today), but I got two 100k+ damage games and my worst result was still 50k damage, so am averaging ~75k damage, which is a good chunk more than both on my Colorado and Nagato. edit:// Apparently Warships.today is having a bit of tracking seizure ...

The remaining 6k credits are the mandatory servicing cost that you have to pay for a game regardless of having recieved damage or not.

What he said. They did have a discount and even gave you a little amount of doubloons to respec a couple captains for basically free. You missed that chance and it's unlikely they'll do it again unless they make some more changes to captain perks.

From Thursday on the average quality will rise, simply because a larger number of those who play on those stations with those accounts will at the very least have played the game beforehand, some of which will also have played the game a lot beforehand and are just trying out the new german battleships. Though I can agree with your sentiment. Why WG simply can't bother to put up a gaming booth with 24 gaming stations for interested visitors to try the game in a controlled and secluded environment is simply beyond my understanding. Even from a marketing perspective it looks like the better option, since a newcomer jumping into his literally first game ever in tier X and getting thrown into a match with up to 23 seasoned game veterans (a round of cynical chuckles plz, you know why!) isn't exactly likely to endear them to the game when they inevitably get their behind handed to them.

Naw. Sometimes it's bad, like say you're in a CV and the enemy team is full of North Carolinas and Michail Kutuzovs ... but mostly you can do fine if you adjust your playstyle to be a bit more conservative. Picking up the scraps as they fall through the cracks rather than trying to be the sledgehammer.

If you want to know why naming&shaming is forbidden: it's not to protect salty douchecanoes or cheaters. It's to protect innocent people that get accused to be cheaters by salty douchecanoes. This is a rule in more or less every multiplayer community forum, so now that you know it should be easy to avoid. And no, I've never heard of a person getting instant banhammered for a simple name&shame. Repeat offendors yeah, but certainly no first timers and not without a healthy dose of mouthing off permeating the thread. Always keep in mind: Wyoming may be slow as a slug on glue ... but he isn't any faster. May sound trivial but many people seem to be familiar with Kongous running them down that they never bother to retreat when they have the chance. You may not be able to run from a Kongou, but you can run away from a New York. Each time he turns to fire his broadside, he loses speed, so as long as you just keep sailing away, you will increase the distance by a good chunk, even if your topspeed is virtually the same.

If he's angled, try not to engage if possible. If not possible, HE all the way baby. If he's not angled, teach him why he should. You have twelve solid arguments!

Very dependent on MM. A CV as toptier is incredibly strong. A CV as bottom tier however, not so much. You're also typically at a disadvantage when you get a double CV game and one CV per side is a tier higher, because his planes will be better than yours. And then there's the blasted Air Superiourity CVs ...
