Premium ammo for WoWS confirmed?

I had noted that too. It was a bit of a thing during the GNB event, with getting the escalating base XP missions being a LOT easier for people with premium since the 50% boost counted towards, though I'd say that was less about premium being unfair as much as it was about WG having made such steep mission requirements. So if this is indeed a direct responce to that criticism, WG is tackling it the wrong way. I mean getting 4750 base XP (I think that was the highest mission requirement, correct me if I'm wrong) is exceptionally hard to achieve without the premium XP boost, but the problem wasn't the XP boost, it were the ambitious mission parameters ... then again some people couldn't get it into their heads that some missions were only meant to be achievable by very good players (though even having a really, really good game is more often than not not enough to get that amount of base XP without premium, so there we are again ...). I don't mind the change personally. I just happen to have premium for a small while from the bundles I bought just recently, so if it applied, of course I'd prefer it ... then again I also have some spare time to play and grind anyway.

As an avid BB player, I can't remember the last time a fire killed me in any situation that wouldn't kill me regardless of fire anyway. Since it's considered light damage the repair consumable can replenish nearly ALL damage taken from fire at approximately 1 repair ~ 1 full fire ratio depending on your ship upgrades, captain skills and signal flags. Not overextending is the trick. Limit the number of HE spewers that can fire at you (either by exploiting terrain, range or simply killing them) and you'll find yourself farming those fires just to get a couple Fireproof and Dreadnought rewards for the signal flags.

Right, I had not factored the Montana's size into this, obviously she's easier to hit and slower to manouver for evasion, duh My current US BB build is Manual AA Control and Concealment Expert, with using the AA Guns Mod for a bit more range (since I don't need Artillery Plotting Room 1 for extra range as 21+km is plenty to work with imho). So I take it AA is nothing to write home about and any tier X Cv that wants you dead can simply press a strike through (considering their should have plenty enough replacements) unless you are protected by a cruiser using Defensive AA Fire ... welp, there goes my Montana ambition.

As a CV player, how well would you say does the Montana fares against tier X CV strikes? Since the Montana is no longer the DPM king (the Kurfürst beating it with the 406mm setup), its biggest advantage over the other tier X BBs is its AA suite. I hear from basically everyone that tier X CVs just laugh at the AA, but I've had games in my North Carolina with tier X CVs in the game and they never really got a good strike in, one Midway in particular losing 25 planes to my AA for basically zero gain, so I'm a bit unsure what to make of it. Currently only at a stock Iowa and put my hightier grinding on the side for a bit.

I find the last part to be by far the most trivial to achieve. All you need is one decent game. The first part is the grindy one, especially since it's only base XP (and only BASE base XP, the premium modifier apparently doesn't count this time which is a bit of a shame because I just happen to have some premium time from the Scharnhorst and Blyskawica bundles).

If you sail predictably when spotted, sure. But EVERY ship class doing that is a surefire way to return to port prematurely, not just cruisers.

If you get a chance to shoot at them, provided the information about them getting Smoke in exchange for Defensive AA Fire is accurate. Just imagine a division of those chaining their smoke screens. CVs are really going to up their game as their hardcounter, but given the current meta ... I suppose carpet torping smokescreens will become the next big thing in the midtiers soon.

Ah but you see, the japanese made excellent use of camouflage. It's why there are no records ... they never got spotted.

But it's not in luck's best interest to monopolize the game: if I won the lottery and suddenly were to be swimming in disposable income, I could buy all the premium ships and stuff. Surely WG would put forth a good word to Lady Luck under these circumstances?

That dude was hilariously conceited. ~ 150 games played, 18k average damage and trying to tell others how to play the game, then flipping out on people when they actually do the exact thing he said they should do (which was stupid advice given the situation) and end up dying predictably for zero gain and nearly costing the game ... This guy was the very definition of a n00b.

To be perfectly honest ... I herped the same derp when I started. Totally flew under my rader on the first day and there I thought the enemy was sooo bad for losing all the time, the same players even! 'twas the story of my first day on WoWS, I swear!
