    How did this happen?

He used the barrage ability on his fighters (Alt+Click to set strafing corridor) and caught your aircraft in it. A well placed strafe run can absolutely destroy airplanes caught unawares. It'd increases dps for the fighter using it (aswell as giving a small speed buff for the duration of the strafe), but uses up a good chunk of ammo.
  2. Our tier VII division met General Krizmuz in his Fletcher on the same team. We then proceeded to roll over the enemy team, with Krizmuz topping the scoreboard. Was a good game!
  3. Nope. I have all achievements bar the 'Manners maketh Man' and 'King of the Party', didn't recieve the latter. Besides I doubt it's that easy considering only a few more than a hundred have been unlocked so far. And 'Manners Maketh Man' can't be just complimenting an enemy, otherwise it would never exceed the numbers of 'Life and Soul of the party' and very much more likely be a good chunk less than the aforementioned. However as of currently 'Manners Maketh Man' has been unlocked a handful more times than 'Life and Soul of the Party'.

    Patch 0.5.11 release notes

Huh ... last time I looked at the patchnotes it said it'll only work for ships you own, but I just checked and like you said, I can check up ships I don't have. Neat Aaaand I couldn't help look up the HMS Belfast; 13mm bow/aft armour, ... wut? DDs have more armour at 16mm compared with the Belfast. Oh dear oh dear, that's going to be a LOT of citadels straight through the front/back if you get hit by 203mm or higher caliber AP shells (which are obviously ubiquitous at tier VII). That made my interest in the Belfast drop a little

    Patch 0.5.11 release notes

I'd wish the armour viewer would extend to ships not owned by the player. I'd very much like to look up other ships just to see where I should target them ... or in case of premium prospects investigate the armour profile to fact-check any remarks about tankyness, etc. pp..
  6. Ooyodo would make for a pretty good tier VI premium cruiser. Pretty decent AA for tier VI with those eight 100mm and fiftytwo 25mm (combine that with Defensive AA Fire and you got some nasty AA dps), the guns were Mogami guns, so they could retain their range which would also be quite respectable for tier VI (though they would need better turret traverse speed!) and the all frontal gun layout would be a unique playstyle currently only shared with the Dunkerque. As a unique twist they could give the Ooyodo the option to mount a spotter plane to boost the firing range some more, plus Hydro (since it was originally designed to be a command vessel for submarine operations, hence spotter plane and hydro only making sense).
  7. So, Blyskawica, Polish but served the majority of the water with the RN. HMAS Perth, Australian, but subsidiary to the RN due to being part of the British Commonwealth. Maybe we can get something like a Commonwealth/Pan-European (bit of a stretch with the Perth, but it technically belonged to a european entity, so ...) faction like the Pan-Asian one for the Anshan and Lo Yang? Would be a shame if they'd just fracture so many ships into their own factions that'll quite likely never see another ship introduced (which in turns entirely defeats the purpose of using it as a captain (re-)training ship, which is one of the three pillars that make premium ships what they are).
  8. Had the most hilariously epic fail game conclusion I've seen since I started playing this game First the standard procedure: Now, take a closer look at the Team Score tab. Noticed that surviving Gnevny with 0 XP? Yeah, he was AFK the entire game. So as we went to fight the enemy team, crawling ahead on points thanks to holding more caps and kept dying to the enemy (my excuse is I'm sailing the Nürnberg, I'm sticking to it!), more specifically the enemy CVs that had free reign after our CVs died (not sure what happened to our Ryuujou, but the Independence got way too close to the action, got spotted and then died to the focused fire ...). So yeah, we fought, we capped, we died. Game clock had about a minute left when our second to last ship went down, with only the AFK Gnevny left alive, being spotted by one of the enemy CVs' fighter squadrons. At that point I'm erronously miffed of the prospect of that AFK sucker getting a Solo Warrior out of it (somehow had in my head that 1vs3 was enough for it ...), enough so to remind the enemy CV that he has one minute left to kill the (spotted) AFKer. A bit later I see torpedo bombers approaching the DD on the minimap, so I freecam over there to watch his inevitable demise and our loss ... but wait? Where are the torpedoes? I look at the clock and it says ~20 seconds left ... and then realization is dawning on me. That CV got greedy. Real greedy for that perfect spread so he dropped so far out that all torpedoes would converge on the Gnevny. Only 10 seconds left on the clock as the torpedoes are finally spotted and they are sloooooow, CV is obviously not using the Torpedo Acceleration captain skill. And yup, the game clock runs out before the torps hit with maybe 50-100 meters to spare. AFK Gnevny survives unscathed, we win on point lead. ... That's 99/100 on the epic fail scale. The only way this could've been any more epically fail were if those torps actually hit, but due to the torps all converging on the same point on the DD (it very much looked like they were all converging on the exact same spot) if damage saturation did its thing, the impacted ship section health would get depleted, resulting in reduced damage for the second torpedo and zero damage for the two others and the DD would survive any ensuing flooding because the game clock would run out faster than a potential flooding could kill him. Some say if you listen closely whilst watching the battle result screenshots, you can faintly hear the pained groans of disembodied heads as they are condemned to smash against desks for all eternity in the fourth circle of hell.

    Abusive behaviour

First, naming and shaming isn't allowed. Secondly, open a support ticket, explain and provide that image as evidence, maybe they'll do something about (though don't expect more than a temporary chatban at most). Thirdly, take his tears and use them to boil yourself a nice cup of tea you can gentlemanly sip as you sit on enjoying him making a fool out of himself
  10. With all those Commonwealth ships in the talk, do you guys think we might see a Glorious Heritage-class cruiser?
  11. I just can't help but feel like the Amagi is no longer earning credits as much as before. And to emphasize, I do not mean the sum after repairs, etc. (I know August had reduced high tier repair costs). I mean the amount of credits I get for doing damage, capping/defending flags, etc. ... beforehand I used to get around 200k credits for a good game but recently I hardly break past 150k even with decent damage done (100k+ and yes, I also know damage rewards are based on health percentage, not total number digits!). As an example this game from today: That's ~130k damage done, one full flag capture (all by myself) and a partial flag capture. 2281 base XP ... I vaguely remember that I typically broke the 200k credits earned when I got over 2k base XP, but since a couple weeks I can't help but think I'm earning too few credits in this ship. Fair enough, roughly half that damage was the Iowa (juicy broadside, om nom nom), but I also put the majority of health off a Baltimore and nicked one Tirpitz nicely. So overall I did around 80% damage to the Iowa (which should net me bonus XP and credits for it being a tier higher!), 70% to the Baltimore, ~33% to the Tirpitz plus a couple snippets of damage to other ships. That combined with the base captures amounting to only ~175k credits seems a bit low to me. Sadly I can't compare it to previous Amagi games since I had recently cleaned up my screenshot folder so I have no means to directly compare it to previous games of mine. Is that just me being whack or is this something someone else noticed too?

Der "Japano Waifu Bilder" Thread (Jetzt mit Themenwochen)

Ich bin ja so ein Rebell Hier, hab ein bisschen Porno als Entschuldigung:
  13. Had a neat game in my Scharnhorst, met another forumite too: Sadly a good chunk of my team wasn't having a good game, or possibly even wanting to have one, with that whole going through the mid channel thing and all ...
  14. Met Evoside again as we were both sailing our Scharnhorsts, though he didn't remember me. I made sure to pour one overpenetration into him as penance Sadly the match was rather underwhelming as easily half my team was a bunch of knobends that wouldn't know how to get out of a wet paper box if they had industrial wet paper box openers and instructions on how to use them ... three of our cruisers decided it would be a great idea to charge through the channel (yes, Two Brothers map) and the waiting Gneisenau (which was well spotted being there!), their inevitable demise was as unsurprising as it was facepalm inducing. I had to rush back to defend the B cap (or C cap, not sure right now) and basically take on a Tirpitz and a New Mexico all by myself whilst a friendly North Carolina (who actually played well!) took care of the Atago and at least managed to keep the Hipper's attention for until after I dealt with the Tirpitz and New Mexico. Almost got rammed by the Hipper but my guns reloaded literally the last splitsecond ... died to a fire set by him anyway with a second left on the damage control cooldown. Not that me surviving that fight on a sliver of health could've changed anything against that full health Fusou about to poke its head around the corner Hard fought game, sadly not well fought. And I have actually no idea how Evoside and his divisionmate performed other than them getting pretty good XP. Until we meet again.
  15. Shush you. You're probably just one of THEM. You know, the kind of revisionist history meddlers who try to camouflage THEIR ongoing machinations.

Prepare for Ranked Battles Season 5!

I'd overall prefer tier 6 max for ranked. For one, less premium ships at tier 6 so less worry about wallet warriors (plus the available tier 6 premiums ships (Warspite, Arizona, Dunkerque, Molotov and Anshan) aren't exactly considered imbalanced, so less of the usual pay2win accusations). Secondly there's lots of strong ships at the tier so not everyone will aggregate to the same ships: - New Mexico, Arizona, Fusou, Bayern, Warspite and Dunkerque are all quite competitive battleships at their tier without any single one being significantly more performant in a direct comparision - Ryuujou and Independence have a somewhat better balance than a Shokaku vs Lexington match-up (saying the Ranger isn't forced to go AS or lose, default Independence loadout can still work against Ryuujou strike) -Cleveland has excellent AA and dpm, but Budyonny has better range (Molotov similar though trading rate of fire for higher caliber), only Nürnberg isn't exactly competitive, but that isn't exactly news .. -Farragut is a knifefight beast but can't stealthtorp without visual cover, Anshan can stealthtorp but isn't really good at it whilst not as good a brawler as Farrgut, Mutsuki has worst guns, but is the only good stealthtorp DD at tier 6 If Ranked was using Domination and Standard Battle in a 50/50 split, chances are the meta wouldn't be too heavily focused on a particular class (as it was DD focused when Domination only) and at tier 6 that would open up some nice options. Really recommend WG should try it out to see if it would work!

    Seriously somin wrong with WoWs

Wait on a second here: you came here to report a problem, you allegedly have records but for some reason you don't want to upload that so we could actually try and figure out what happened (let alone that if this actually is a legit problem, WG would need more informations to try and solve it anyway!), but you do go out your way to record this topic? To what end? Why are you refusing to provide the necessary informations so someone could help you (as several people have noted) and in the same breath get uppity about people supposedly calling you a liar. You've already put more effort into recording this thread, cutting out a sample and uploading it than into actually getting help by simply uploading the replay/recording of your encounter. That's wasted energy at best and far less complementing implications at worst.
  19. Didn't you know? Anything prior to 1945 is Nazi Germany. Depending on who you ask, that particular era hasn't even ended yet and the only reason no one in Germany is roudly flying the Swastika is because we don't want them to know ...

? Must've caught the wrong file, because all I see there is a recording of you staring at your posted screenshot from this thread
  21. 333%, dayum. Let's see how many low/mid tier RN cruisers with 15+ point captains will be around when they release Also, let's see if anyone can datamine those achievement requirements. Probably tracked completely serverside, but you never know. That's a huge sarcastic grin on the WG staff however saying that people could figure out the requirements for the achievements on their own considering the plethora of variables they could track and I'm not sure for how long those missions will be available (assuming for those 3/4 days of the birthday event) so even the most diligent players that are meticulously tracking each stat for each game might simply never reach the necessary amount of data to actually pinpoint the requirements halfway accurately.

What is the bigger threat to you?

DoT doesn't matter which form it takes, if it sticks it's gonna hurt. A flooding when your damage control is on cooldown for a minute or more will do more damage than a single fire, but if your damage control is down and you get a second and third fire on you is just as nasty (if not more, too lazy to do the math). And definately airborne. Less about the direct damage the deal than about forcing your hand. I can typically minimize damage taken from an airstrike halfway decently, but that require me to make hard manouvers ... manouvers that might show a nice flat side for any enemy ships to shoot at, which can more than compensate for any damage avoided from the airstrike itself. And if a CV is in tune with just a handful teammates, he can turn any strike into a question of whom you want to die to ... either to the airstrike catching a full drop of torpedoes if you don't turn to evade to keep your angling towards the ships, or via enemy ship fire if you turn to evade the airstrike and they just waited for your juicy broadside if you don't happen to have cover you can shield your turn with ...
  23. Sadly forgot to take screenshots, but I had a neat game in my Atago and taught the enemy Dunkerque a valuable lesson, that being trying to stop bow-on right next to a massive island not being the smartest thing to do when you have an enemy Atago (or any other ship with torps) lurking around, which he MUST've known because I was spotted by airplane every now and then. As a neat extra lecture, both me and the Dunkerque learned that Atago belt armour can totally bounce 330mm AP shells fired at ~4km. And because hilarity demanded its due, his division mate in the New Mexico practically met the same fate as I rushed him and dumped my torps from the other side into him
