[SCRUB] The Scrubs - Recruitment thingy

Your Slobberness, it appears the subjects are in revolts. We ought to teach them their place and dispense a licking they shan't soon forget. Better bring replacement windows!
  2. Blogis, what did I tell you? No fair hoggin' all the achievables! *bleep bloop* Achievable unlocketed A fitting game to elite the Tashkent (still had the torpedoes to upgrade). Also it's always fun to see RN CL AP shells pling harmlessly off your hull in a DD when you're on less than 2k health

Now this is a proper mission.

That. I don't see how that module is a viable choice since it's in the same slot as the concealment module which is simply so much better. The 20 premium camouflages however, that's most definately a neat bonus!

Wait ... does that mean he snubbed us? That's meta as f*ck!

Why is the game biased to American ships?

Wow, mods not on duty over weekends?

    blocking players from my team

MM giveth and MM taketh away. The odds to regularily meet the same player(s) again are ridiculously low unless you're playing during fringe hours with such a depleted player pool that MM has no choice but pair you with the same people again and again. My tip would be not to try and play this game around 3-4 in the morning ...

Top tier 10 solo carrying potential ship

Problem with Khabarovsk is you're still reliant on your team to do stuff like capping. Khaba just isn't good at that sort of stuff with its bad stealth characteristics. In that regard, the Gearing and the Z-52 are the surpreme cap contestants. Gearing with Defensive AA can push into caps without fearing to get instantly deleted by a CV trying to strike it and the Z-52 is suicide to try and push against if the player knows how to exploit the hydro, plus the guns aren't really bad either on that ship. So for domination mode matches, my points go to Gearing and Z-52. On standard battle matches however, Khabarovsk can really outshine every other currently available DD with its sheer firepower if the enemy let's you work that magic long enough and it's still stealthy enough to disengage and fast enough to quickly relocate when needed. There's several other strong ships like the Zao, Yamato and Großer Kurfürst that have a huge carry potential, but if we were to assume the team needs carrying hard, I'd also assume they aren#t their job that well, and really anything that isn't a DD can get shafted really hard when they are forced to play without reasonable backup.

    USSR DD split compensation

Except that the free stuff we get is on the wrong ships. I want my Udaloi captain to stay on the Udaloi. And it's entirely possible to please everyone, if they simply provided a captain with the same amount of captain XP for the reshuffled ships of the same tier. So if I had a 16 point captain on the Udaloi right now, I'd keep that 16 point captain on the new Udaloi and get a new 16 point captain on the new Tashkent. *Bamm* ... best of both worlds. No one gets shafted. This is a poorly thought out implementation!
  9. Oh look, Sub_Octavian working through his monthly BS quota ... This guy wouldn't recognize a meta if it stitched the explanation into his retina. So, people reverted to the old playstyle and are getting meh results because of it? Hmm, what could've possibly be the cause for that. Surely it's not all the current radar ships that will gleefully radar and then nuke DDs, or perhaps the Radio Location captain perk that allows ships to easily beeline it straight to the nearest ship which would be that DD if he were to play aggressively ... I just love the how the RL captain perk perfectly counters the playstyle that IJN DDs are supposed to have in order to perform well. The irony is almost as thick as this guy's head.

    USSR DD split compensation

Except that the captain on my Udaloi would be retrained to the Tashkent despite me already having the Khabarovsk, when I really needed that captain to remain on the Udaloi if they want me to grind to the Grozovoy the normal way. There's no way in hell that I will grind a tier IX ship with the measly 9 skillpoint captain that WG is giving me for the Udaloi. If WG wants me to grind the Udaloi for the Grozovoy, the least they can do is clone my captain on it so I don't have to regrind a the captain for that line to a not-painful level. 9 skillpoint captains don't cut it tier VIII plus and by the time I'd have grinded the Grozovoy, supposing I used the 9 skillpoint captain that WG intends to give, I'd have a tier X ship with a 10 skillpoint captain ... really? I wouldn't get a tier 4 captain perk until I reached tier X ... Really!? That's classic WG Working as intended™ if they really want to pull that one.

    USSR DD split compensation

No words about recieving the Grozovoy if you already have the Khabarovsk. Could that be just an oversight or does WG really intent players to grind through the new Udaloi in order to unlock it? Likewise, no word about any captain stuff for the Khabarovsk. Will I have to move the captain to the Udaloi and then retrain it back to the Khaba in order to get a free 9 point captain to use for the new line? Seems to me like someone dun goofed ...
  12. It used to be survivalrate when I started playing, mostly because I started with the US cruiser line and once I reached the Phoenix and later the Omaha, I just started dying too quickly because the ships where so fast and I overextended. So I tried to stay alive for longer, can't help the team if you're sunk after all ... I also started playing DDs (IJN and US) around that time of realization, partly to get a feel on how they play. Then it became winrate, because staying alive on itself doesn't win games. You have to be alive and doing the right thing at the right time to help. So I tried focusing on the things that I thought would help the most with winning the game (contesting/denying caps) and trying to be where I'm needed ... I also started playing BBs (US and IJN) at that point, again to get a feel on how those play (also because big guns wooooooo!). Then it became average damage and KDr after I felt I was knowing how to help the team win effectively, but not quite able to translate it into the performance that I'd wanted. So I practiced my aim and delved into a couple finer details, trying to find out about armour profiles on ships, overmatch mechanic, stealthfiring and when to disengage to preserve my fighting strength against bad odds. At this point I very sporadically tried my luck with CVs. Nowadays? Well, I still look up my session stats to see how well I did compared the server average but really that's just me patting myself on the back when I see that precious purple. The things that actually matter the most to me right now aren't to be easily indentified by stats. These days retrospective made me her slave and mistakes in positioning and/or the shift from defensive to aggressive playstyle and vice versa is what I'm looking for, see what went wrong and how that could've gone better, though hindsight bias isn't making it easy to come up with simple solutions.
  13. In a multifaceted, metropolitan and historically rich culture environment like Europe, that would be like a major event every other day. Imagine all the goodies!
  14. Aotearas

    How much Credits you have?

About to buy Udaloi and Khabarovsk ... so not much after that's done
  15. Well, we're just european, what would we know about right or wrong anyway. Everyone knows that an argument won't hold any authority unless it was delivered with a Die Hard on a BB in a DD and getting 2500 base XP plus surviving the battle.

    Fires needs a heavy nerf

Yamato '45 was an inside job.
  17. Low tier CVs losing their alt attacks is just nonsense. For one, taking away a crucial gameplay feature for skilled gameplay is just plain sh*tting on the learning curve. You don't incentivize learning by excluding the single most important skillset for CVs. Secondly, autodrops only ... do the devs even know how ridiculously inaccurate AND easy to avoid those drops are? Even a slow, juicy target like a low tier battleship can evade most, if not all automated torpedo drops simply by steering to one side or the other. I get it that low tier CVs are performing too dominantly when captained by a competent CV captain. But that's not because manual drops are OP or something like that. It's because NOTHING at those tiers except the Texas and a bit less so the Yubari actually have decent enough AA to shoot those airplanes down. If WG wants to rebalance low-tier CVs, I suggest dropping the tier IVs and make the CV line start with tier V where ships with actually effective AA are present to counter them.
  18. Aotearas

The Grozovoi saga (nerf, actual status, news...)

Hmm, how is that aircraft crit chance actually calculated? I actually have no idea how that goes, beyond the simple the more the better ...
  19. Can't have Blogis hog all the space in this thread: What made that game special? Well, it starts as usual, I set a course to nearby visual cover to hide muh big Bogue arse, launch TBs to spot and draw out enemy fighters so that my then launched fighters can munch 'em up ... and then my Bogue gets a smattering hit Some special snowflake decided he'd just random shoot his own CV for no reason. Knocked out my engine and shaved off 7k health. Then he set to a collision course, but either quits or crashes before getting off another volley or some such. THEN I notice that torps are coming my way and only thanks to the knocked out engine beforehand did I not get hit by those. Those torps, launched from a different douchecanoe. He then buggers off to play like nothing happened and upon my question about why people are trying to TK me his reply was "calculated" ... in the meantime I nearly lost my TB squadron before I could call it back because understandibly my attention was kind of diverted and I didn't notice the enemy fighters that just pounced on my hapless pretties. Barely managed to save that squadron. Anyhow, that was the start of the very first match I played today. What a beginning. I then proceeded to carry this team despite two douchecanoes having actively tried to sabotage the game. Screw you guys! Ticket with replay has been sent to support and I hope those guys get what's coming for 'em!
  20. Met JapLance and Ton0kki today.
  21. What's a christmas? That another one of those fancy NA festivities? Don't tell me it's something stupid like a jolly fat man giving presents around or some such.
  22. Neat mate. I guess that makes us even today, I also got two Kraken (sadly before I got the fifth mission stage ...). One earlier in my Nikolai (yes, yes, I know) though sadly the game crashed when I tried to take screenshots from the match results (seriously, this game is crashing about EVERYTHING ever since 0.6.1). But I can give the screenshots for my second Kraken in my trusty Scharnhorst (oh how I love that ship!!!): I know what you're thinking "only 70k damage huh, lotsa kill securing been done here" ... but most of that damage has been dealt to the enemy DDs. The red team had a total of 5 DDs, four of which all went to the same capture zone that our division was targeting! And well, people who play with me should know by now, I absolutely love shooting up DDs in my BBs so I went in there squeeing like a little girl in a confissery full of lifesize sculptures of the latest boygroup idols made of marzipan and chocolate! Actually turned out that I cleared every DD this side of the map (the sole remaining enemy DD had the good idea of going to the other flank, spoilsport), plus got a smashing salvo into the Pensacola (sadly just shy of the kill with a Devastating Strike) ... one got torped after he stopped in his smoke less than 6km away from me, others got a bit of 283mm AP lovin' (I don't even switch to HE against DDs when sailing BBs anymore) and ultimately snatched a battered Kirov for game and Kraken winning kill.
  23. Don't tell my boss though. I'd like to keep his illusion that I've been working hard these past nightshifts. If he were to find out that all those thousands of Euro's in sales from carneval-goers were totally fake, I might be in a slight bit of trouble.
