    Skull and Bones

Ubisoft is more like to kill their own game by shipping it in a hilariously broken state with the typical lack of QA than they are to to be a serious competitor to other similar games.

    Abussive player, death threats

It's always in extremely poor taste. The important part is to not take it serious. Chances are good the fellow in question doesn't even have pubes growing on his balls yet. Sadly online multiplayer is full of douche canoes like that, too many to properly moderate. Only thing anyone can really do is grow a thick skin and ignore it or as I prefer to: have fun ridiculing them (within acceptable levels of course, don't want to get banned yourself) ... and if they're really obnoxious save the replay/chatlog and have support take a look at it. I know the support rules say they won't handle stuff like misbehaviour in chat and refer you to the ingame reporting feature, but I've come across a couple real nasty pieces and the support has always answered that they're taking a closer look.

*edited* I totally get where OP is coming from though. Yesterday ... the horror, the horror, the horror ...

    Well, we're simply covering ...

Open a support ticket and provide a replay for them to check, preferably with timestamps to the juicy bits. Also, getting afraid because some salty douchecanoe is frothing in rage? Your friend ought to get used to that, he'll be getting that a lot and it's no reason to take that serious.

Blogis, I finally found the origin of your hipswing.gif ... That's some weird stuff, mate!

What's your favourite ship, and why?

Khabarovsk. Just pure, unrelenting aggression mindnumbingly simple in its brilliance: see stuff, shoot stuff.

    Teamplayer are the real potatoes

Stop editing the minus out. We all know it!
  10. Triple torpedoboat divisions are meh. Triple gunboat divisions are a nightmare to fight against though. And then there's the triple Khabarovsk division ...

    Teamplayer are the real potatoes

I actually got 4 today. Two in my last game in my Gearing when I was smoking up beleagered BBs and then spotted for them. But OP is entirely correct. The XP you get for such invaluable teamwork efforts are pityful, if not outright inexistent.

    Yamato for everyone

But morons live the longest in BBs and do more damage because RNG dispersion guides stray shells into cruiser citadels even if the BB moron can't aim straight. In a DD or cruiser, morons just die. In a CV, a moron gets shut down. In a BB, morons still do damage and feel like they're the king of the seas for splatting that one cruiser that couldn't keep his eyes on everyone of the 5 BBs in the game.

    Saipan Fix When?

First off, apologies accepted, no harm done. Secondly, I didn't intend to say the Hiryuu was better. I just wanted to make clear that the Saipan isn't simply superiour in every aspect. It's unique gameplay quirks (hightier planes and the free disengage) are big advantages, but the Hiryuu has its own advantages to use that even out the fight (such as much greater strike potential (though not as great strike retention) and superiour fighters if using DE perk). The player makes or breaks the CV with how he can work it and given equal player skills, it should be a roughly equal fight. The whole comment chain started when someone said the Saipan was easily beaten after all, to which I objected with the caveat that the Hiryuu is still a formidable ship compared to the Saipan. Anyhoot, nice to see this ended gentlemanly despite the rough start. And if WG were to get their arses into gear and actually fix CV balance/gameplay/UI, I might even buy the odd premium CV and Saipan would be #1 on that list.

BB's - Something needs to be done before more are released.

Oh, if those HE stats stay what they are, I will have so much fun spamming HE in the RN BBs just to piss those lot off. It's only fair if the CLs only get AP, that BBs only fire HE. Burn, BB, burn!

[SCRUB] The Scrubs - Recruitment thingy

Please interrupt the banter. PLEASE!!! Too many bronies. Too little shipgirls. A disturbing lack of poi. But mostly too many bronies. Interrupt the bronies!

BB's - Something needs to be done before more are released.

Honestly, it takes a very determined/masochistic player to keep playing cruisers between all those BBs that will gleefully lolpen them and DDs that'll just keep them permanently spotted for all those BBs. Praise the sun!

Tier 5 Bogue OP and carrier tier gap

Only thing I'd put my signature under is the AS Bogue suddenly having gotten a monopoly on airspace now that (equal tier) CVs can no longer use strafing as an equalizer. Tough luck wrestling air control from an AS bogue when you can do is auto-lock your single fighter squadron against his (which are already quite nasty on their own, moreso if he brongs the second set along). Best you can do is either outmanouver him if he's inattentive or sacrifice some aircraft for him to chew up as you try to get the others through to the target, but that only works for so long until your hangars are empty in those lowtier CVs ... WG utterly massacred the lowtier CV balance, nevermind the huge performance gate coming from tier V to tier VI or even worse, having a double CV game with one tier VI per team where they can just manual attack all over and strafe your planes and all you can do is auto-attack ... I shudder to think how frustrating that must be, particularily for people who already know they could do better if only they could manual attack.

    Saipan Fix When?

I'll try and keep a close eye on that whenever I play some CV again, see if it's consistent. Though I'd chalk that up to CV UI unresponsivenes. The damn UI got so bad lately that sometimes orders are going completely haywire and that already soured my limited motivation to play CVs. Flamu's recent Enterprise streamhighlight was a perfect example of the UI plain not responding at all to input ... Anyhoot, I'll pay extra attention to that, thanks. (And this, Redcap375, is how you properly contest arguments in a constructive fashion, not "do u evn airlift, bruh")

    Saipan Fix When?

Huh, I always put that one down to UI lag. Was there something in the patchnotes when the disengage mechanic made it into the game? Had it happen a couple times that someone wanted to disengage and then strafe but they've never been fast enough to make the turnaround for a strafe. Or do you mean they lock the fighters, then disengage and strafe with the other fighter squadron? Because that's what I like to do, though naturally non-Saipan fighters can't do that in perpetuity since they lose a fighter each tie.

    Saipan Fix When?

Yes, I am real. No, I don't work for WG. Yes, I have the Hiryuu. No, I don't have the Saipan. Yes, I do actually play CVs every now and then. No, naturally I haven't locked a Hiryuu squadron with the Saipan fighters that I don't have ... but I have been locked on many occasions and my Hiryuu fighters tend to win those fights. I have on very rare occasions run out of aircraft, yes. Yes, I have strafed Saipan planes into dust. Yes, I have escorted my Hiryuu bombers and strafed the crap out of Saipan fighters that thought to intercept them (or simply locked them if necessary). No. I'm not seeing a whole lot of respect there. You're busier trying to denounce my credibility by assuming a whole lot with nothing to back up those ad hominems (feel free to look up my stats if you actually want to put some effort into that!).
  22. Precisely. BBabies gonna run to momma the moment some meany is targeting them. BBrawlers just be like "thank you for the tanking XP".

    Non radar cruisers in cyclones

Either group up to mass firepower, or if that isn't an option, try to ambush the enemy from a direction opposite than the last enemy they had eyes on to catch them with guns facing the wrong direction. Nothing says "oh crap" quite like a Minotaur popping up to one's broadside at 8km and you need thirty seconds to bring your guns on target
  24. Oh boy, the teams today ... bloody weekend: Because killing the CV is more important than capping and/or killing the low HP cruisers to secure a win ... idiot in the Gneisenau had multiple chances to secure the victory but completely blew it by instead chasing the enemy CV around and even better taking roughly 4 minutes to finally kill it. And naturally our own CV didn't believe in using his fighters planes (yes, he had fighters!) to, oh I don't know ... maybe getting rid of those enemy fighters that were constantly keeping me spotted? What a waste of perfectly fine oxygen. But at the very least one didn't need to win to clear the fourth stage of the weekly mission. And then the final stage of the weekly mission. Naturally because there aren't enough BBs playing WG had to make it a BB exclusive ... time to break out the fatties: You have no idea how long it took for me to finally get a game with five citadel penetrations. Heaps of smashing regular pen salvoes in my BBs, but citadels? Naw ... and then they also want you to win. With teams like what I had I was more like to win a hug-me vest and a trip into a padded cell and tranquilizers. But in the end I got lucky and all the ships reversing nicely broadside to a Yamato were on the enemy teamso I had enough salvoes to roll the citadel dice with to finally clear the final stage. Plz, no more BB exclusion mission designs, mkay?

    Saipan Fix When?

Specced into Air Superiourity and Dogfighting Expert, a Hiryuu 5 fighter squadron will on average beat a Saipan 4 fighter squadron in a simple 1vs1. Disengaging for free is a neat perk for a Saipan, but that only means you're avoiding the fight, ergo you're letting yourself getting zoned out. And if you pick a fight, assuming the Hiryuu is smart enough not to fall for strafes then he has the advantage in fighter DPS and survivability (though RNG giveth and taketh). If you simply disengage from his fighters the entire time and the hiryuu is smart enough to keep his fighters around his striking locations, that means he's free to do his damage. And in a damage competition the Hiryuu simply has more striking power than a Saipan. If you can consistently outplay your opponents, that's the players, not the CV. In simple ship parameters the Hiryuu is more than an equal opponent. Maybe it's been too long since you last gave the Hiryuu a good stretch.
