What measures to work against the BB overpopulation (in the higher tiers) are being discussed by WG?

Forum update ate a crapton of posts. I see so many threads missing several pages and acording to my own post count compared to before the update, some 200-300 posts of mine have been lost to the void. It also seems like it's considerably slower. Now this isn't exactly what I consider quality work. And wasn't the forum update planned to be done earlier on the 22nd of this month to begin with, not the 26th? Other nitpicking: -Announcements taking up way too much space at the top of every forum page -Notifications no longer specify usernames -Too much spacing between paragraphs -Do we really need fullsize Youtube video signatures? I'm sure I could find plenty other stuff but quite frankly it's not my job to do WG's quality control/assurance!

So, new forum and suddenly our thread is 5 pages shorter. WG logic I suppose.

The game already tries to match the numbers of divisions across both teams. Pretty sure the maximum difference of divisions per side is 1, so you shouldn't see stuff like 3 divisions vs 0.

And you just know they're going to utterly drag this out of context and use the negative feedback as an excuse to postpone clan activities because obviously it's not what people want.

So, got invite by fellow clanmates, they wanted to play tier V ... this is the MM that greeted us: Godtier MM programming skills by WG. 10/10, would tier V again.* Welp, gotta eat what's on the table ... we did, then asked for the bill, this is what we got: You see it? Our entire division got reported (mtm78 three times, Corvi and me twice). We didn't rage in chat or anything, in fact iirc the only thing we (specifically, I) ever wrote in ANY chat was "Interesting MM" (no bitching or anything, just making my bemusement known) and later a tongue-in-cheek joke to the enemy Dunkerque that killed me being a traitor for sinking one of his brethren (and I'm positive that he understood the joke considering how he responded jokingly in chat). Those were the only two instance anyone of us wrote something in chat. Never seen anyone complaining about us too ... So the only explanation as to why our division got report bombed was some salty potato was offended that we actually played and won as a tier V division ... this is what's wrong with the stupid Karma system! As for why we possibly got reported for playing well? *Seriously, WTF W!G? Is your MM getting old and suffering strokes or something? Not a single tier V ship to compensate tier differences on the enemy team (they have a total of +3 ship tiers since they got the same number of tier VII and the rest is tier VI), they also get two DDs vs our only one (which is bottom tier, just to reiterate) in a domination game. This is genuinely BS unfair MM putting one team at a significant disadvantage!

I will not browse through several videos unless you can link it with a timestamp and sources for your informations. And I haven't heard anything about WG fundamentally changing the HE pen mechanics for the RN BBs, so they ought still follow the usual fraction of caliber rule, under which they wouldn't be anywhere near such a ludicrous number. Without any more context I'd assume you misheard something because that penetration value sounds like AP penetration and nothing like what could even exist within the current confines of HE shell mechanics. Conqueror with its 457mm (18'') shells would have an HE pen of 76mm with the usual 1/6 rule (and 99mm with IFHE), or 114mm with the improved 1/4 rule (149mm with IFHE) at all ranges (since HE pen doesn't change with range). I will admit though that I haven't been following the latest little leaks or what may have fallen throught he cracks in the past couple days so if anything popped up that totally changed how HE works for RN BBs I'll take back what I said.

At the very least the moaning about same-clan divisions making it into the same match would decrease if clans actually had something to do for more than three people at a time.

How about the perfect middleground?

Not the HE pen though, which is what people are talking about.

Current rewards for earning stars seems to follow that schematic. First star is a bunch of signal flags. Second star is another bunch of signal flags. Third star is 5 premium camouflages. Fourth star is a 10 skillpoint captain (initial specialization for the nation's tier I, so still gotta retrain him for whatever ship you want to put him on). Fifth star is 24 hours of premium time. Pretty neat rewards you can essentially get once per week if it stays like this.

Ishizuchido: the way of the combustible Zuchini. Particularily effective against low-tier BBs that haven't yet realized the importance of managing your DCP, just repair the first fire and ~20 seconds later they got another two they can't repair. I absolutely hated the Ishizuchi when I tried to play her like a typical BB, the AP on it is completely dysfunctional. Can't even reliably penetrate a broadside Wyoming at close range (less than 5km), assuming it even hits ... but the HE, oh boy. Putting my IJN cruiser captain in the ishizuchi and just firing HE nonstop was a revelation, a true enlightenment (pun intended). Quite honestly, if the Rn BBs turn out to have excellent HE shells (that may even penetrate some cruiser mainbelts/citadel for HE citadels), I might actually fully embrace the BB HE spam for those ships, just for the shits'n'giggles Imagine the futile rage of a BB who's bitching about that HE spamming Conquerer n00b who's abusing his range, accuracy and quick ruddershift to play very much like a heavy HE spamming cruiser? Except the BB is utterly importent to just nuke it like it does with cruisers. The sea will be so salty that burned wreck won't even sink properly

You could always start playing something that isn't a BB for a breath of fresh air. Maybe learn a thing or two as you go that might fill you with more confidence to try the hightiers.

Scharnhorst, period. Better MM, way better performance potential, unique gameplay quirks with its 283mm guns and in a pinch it can be played like a cruiser and is still better at it than Eugen, which also makes it almost as good a captain trainer for german CA captains if that's something you're looking for (Eugen's unique +50% captain XP still edges it out a bit, but it's typically much easier to get better average scores in the Scharnhorst due to easier MM at tier VII compared to VIII). I've got both (got the Eugen from christmas containers) and though I'm actually doing quite good with the Eugen (guess it's just a lucky ship for me) I can still say with confidence that the Scharnhorst is the better ship of the two. And all that aside, the Scharnhorst is simply fun to play aggressively ... good speed, tough armour, relatively fast reloading guns, good turret traverse, torpedoes and nasty secondaries are all just screaming BRAWL WITH ME!!!

Any PvE scenario that pits multiple bots against fewer numbers of players is essentially just building on the quality over quantity principle. Problem is the average player quality isn't good enough to compensate for greater numbers of bot ships. Hell in most cases those bots play better than a fair number of human players. The happenstance that these operations seem to have mediocre success rates is just testimony on how horrid the average skill level of this playerbase is. WG should finally free their hands from under their arses and make some proper tutorials so people actually get a rough idea on how to play the game instead of just being given a pretty boat and told that left mouse button makes guns go boom.

50 million credits you say? InB4 xXx_Blogis_McDuck_xXx ... pretty sure last I heard he cracked the billion some time ago. And no way WG would ever allow credits to convert into doubloons. It is one of the fundamental pillars that generates actual revenue for an otherwise free to play game. As much as I'd selfishly love to convert credits to doubloons (or other associated elements using that premium currency), it's not going to happen. And you've still got plenty of game content to spend those credits on.

WGP2L or Scrubs, you'll have to decide

War trotzdem lustig obgleich ich in meiner Baltimore nicht allzuviele Chances gegen 'ne Montana und Kurfürst hatte mit herzlich wenig Hilfe weil alle BBs nach C geschippert sind und da die Hälfte vom Match rumdümperten. Die Henry IV die am Anfang noch meinte das C 'ne gute Cap wäre und dann gleich von Karma abgesoffen wurde war's wert. Vielleicht lernt er's nach ein paar Abwrackungen. Wär nur schön gewesen wenn wenigstens ein BB mit zu A gekommen wäre aber was erwartet man auch in Randoms
