The Khaba torpedo change is quite the nerf. Also doesn't make much sense, the torps were the least problematic trait for the Khaba ... if WG really wants to balance the Khaba there's only one thing they have to nerf: the 50mm armour has to go. The ability to just shrug off high caliber HE for zero damage is what makes the Khabarovsk so ridiculously durable (which directly translates in more damage as it keeps on using its dpm). Reduce the hull plating to normal DD levels and suddenly the Khaba can no longer just sh*t on enemy DDs with near impunity. At that point you might even revert the ruddershift nerf. Seriously WG, the whole Khaba problem is the 50mm armour. Nerfing anything else isn't going to solve the problem, stop treating the symptoms! And that Indianapolis radar buff is insane. Detectability buff on top of that should make the Indianapolis quite a powerful ship (imho the detectability buff alone would've been enough).

Precisely. Just today I died first having dealt nearly no damage at all in my Khabarovsk because the team went full lemming train and I tried to fill the gap on the other side. Ran into a Gearing, Udaloi, Des Moines and Izumo who had in fact pushed hard, got my rudder knocked out and then couldn't evade the Gearing torps -> *poof* dead with ~6k damage done. Then get called a retard for dying so early and the dear lemming train guys are so convinced of their strategical genius they don't even realize the only reason I died is because I tried to help them. So I get berated, belittled and outrighted insulted. Yes, I knew what I was doing. Yes, I knew I was most likely going to die doing little damage. But every second the enemy team doesn't push unopposed into our base is a second we're not yet losing. But these guys just went on yapping how I threw my ship away, how retarded I was and how I have no rights saying anything because I'm dead ... Only thing I regret is the team actually won (because the enemy was even worse!) which will only reinforce their stupid behaviour. And they won because some of them turned around after two minutes or so. Two minutes they wouldn't have had if I hadn't forced them to evade and slow down with desperate area denial torps as I was getting murdered. In those two minute, the enemy could've been right in our base with a Gearing, an Udaloi, a Des Moines and an Izumo. If those DDs had smoked up the Des Moines and Izumo ... you do the math.

Just met @Mandyxx in Ranked, him sailing his Leander and me in my kawaii Kurifurandu. Went smooth overall though we had a bit of a Shinonome stalking problem at the end after we lost both our DDs, though the BBs at least stepped in, got rid of the Bayern so I could stop hugging my island waifu and ultimately hunt down the Shinonome, whilst Mandyxx denied an enemy flanking manouver and then flanked them himself which divided the enemy attention and ultimately sealed our victory! Well played, you got a couple cookies for that

Didn't notice anything. Do you perhaps use a non-default aiming reticule? I've had it happen a couple times that patches reverted some settings to default, so if you're used to a different aiming reticule and the patch reverted it to the default one and you didn't notice it could explain that your aim may be off. At least that's the only reasonable explanation I can think of.

A follow-up question regarding the comment that the 1 reward per day rule (for detonations) won't change: Why? I perfectly understand that rewards like Equal Speed Charlie London flags are supposed to be a limited commodity and considering that earning a Kraken can be actively played towards the reward limitation is set to deny the possibility of purposefully grinding for that (at the possible expense of actual proper gameplay). It's a reward for doing well. The Juliet Charlie signal flags you get for detonations however aren't a reward. Someone who detonated didn't skillfully earn it. RNG decided to nuke a ship regardless of HP and the "reward" is an anti-frustration measure. A compensation more than an actual reward. And I very much doubt people do actively try to get detonated. In that regard, I absolutely can't understand why the limitation of recieving the 10 Juliet Charlie signal flags is limited to once per 24 hours. People can detonate more than once within that timeframe. People have detonated more than once within that timeframe. I have detonated twice a day on multiple occasions now. This isn't a statistical hypothesis, it's real, it's happening and it *pardon my french* royally sucks to be on the recieving end of a detonation and then not even getting the signal flags for it. What reason is there to limiting the rewards for that specific case?

Believe me, plenty idiots trying their luck (and nothing else) in ranked. People see shiny rewards and flock to it like seagulls in 'Finding Nemo' ...

So far I mained the Cleveland with IFHE and it's looking pretty sweet. Haven't played another ship yet, but I can already tell I won't be liking seeing Fusous on the enemy team due to their armour protecting against 152mm IFHE HE. So yeah. Cleveland and Fusou. Budyonny would be a no brainer with the same IFHE captain build, though it trades a bit dpm for better range and ballistics and has nowhere near as good AA, though I haven't seen too many CVs around, might actually switch to Hydro on my Cleveland entirely and just trust in the Cleveland's AA fearfactor as a bluffing deterrent (still have the catapult fighter as backup anyway).

Same here. But at least in a cruiser I can turn about and kite in a pinch provided I don't get lolnuked by some BB volley out of nowhere. If the team abandons you in a Fusou, you're truly and well screwed on your own ... no hiding that glorious butt. And I don't really feel like playing another BB. I like the Warspite and being guaranteed to see nothing but tier VI is tempting, but with so many IFHE cruisers around that 25mm hull plating just looks too damn toasty ... Arizona is overall not quite as good as Fusou and less tanky and Whilst the Bayern is tankier than the Warspite and can overmatch 25 armour, the guns are meh on her. Think I'll stick to Cleveland throughout the season (or my patience, whichever runs out first).

Happy to report that my PM reached the Powers That Be and the finding will be passed along the chain (I however will take no responsibility for whichever developer might end up getting beaten with said chain to fix the issue). @lup3s If you haven't already I recommend popping a PM to Tuccy with the issue you came across.

A little heads-up to everyone regarding the current PvE Operation: Raptor Rescue If the CV gets pushed out of position and outside the repair range of the incoming engineer escort, the game script will NOT continue. It'll just sit there and the mission will fail after timeout because the escort ships will stop at a scripted position! Apparently you can ram the Raptor back within the repair range to continue the script so if it happens, it's not entirely unfixable on the spot unless the Raptor got pushed out way out of position, but that's a bandaid at best. So don't ram the Raptor, just don't! Meanwhile, WG might want to look at this and see if they can improve a failsafe for the future, such as the escort ships not stopping before they're in range or something.

Wow, I must've gotten more lucky than I already thought (having given up on the previous couple ranbked seasons due to the sheer frustration with terrible teams). my start this season (only today since I had to work the last couple days) was a bit wobbly with loss-win-loss-win-loss ... but the second gameplay session today was six wins straight (one of which I died like a knobend right at the start because I put myself into an awful position, derp ... the team had to clutch that victory and I totally didn't deserve that star) and I jumped straight from wherever I had started to rank 13. Even had three games with superb teamwork and coordination. Whilst I naturally came quite close to blowing all my daily reports, I actually spent just as many compliments which is exceedingly rare! Even got a compliment back, which is even rarer Loving my new IFHE Cleveland captain though Could do with a couple less Fusous, damn that nonexistant superstructure and 35mm central hull plating.

Eh, most people simply don't bother with the semantics. It's mostly really just wording: it's not a "war", wars need to be passed through senate/parliament, let's call it an "emergency intervention" and bypass all the bureaucratic red tape. WG is fully aware how specific (premium) ships played and why they were recommended throughout the playerbase. Even if WG never verbatim advertised features such as strong AA or excellent stealth firing capabilities, word of mouth if half their marketing. Mechanical changes that effect premiums and lower their performances are still nerfs. Some mechanical changes make sense and some premium ships deserve specific nerfs anyway, but the whole hairsplitting about direct and indirect nerfs is just a charade, a discussion for discussion's sake with no tangible effect on what happens in the background.

There should be a rule addition: if someone from the losing team manages to get more base XP than the topscoring winner, they should also get a star.

Von historischer Bildung und pädagogischem Wert derselben mal abgesehen sind solche Stätten nicht nur Platz patriotischer Beweihräucherung und Glorifizierung von Erfolgen sondern auch des Erinnerns um des Leides im Krieg und warum das Ganze überhaupt notwendig war. Wenn da jemand ein Problem mit hat würd ich den gerne sehen wie der beim Berliner Bürgermeister anruft und meint das Holocaust Denkmal wäre doch viel praktischer mit ein paar Rutschen als Abenteuerspielplatz und man sollte doch wirklich nicht etwas so Grausigem noch so obsessiv eine Show-Bühne basteln ...
