torpedo range Khabarowsk needs a buff
Aotearas replied to Soldier_Of_Faith's topic in General Discussion
WG should finally fix that ship! Why does it still get DD matchmaking? It's a light cruiser ffs ... boy did we have a great game today with my in my Khaba as the only DD in the game in a domination match, enemy got two DDs (Kiev and Shimakaze). Give Khaba cruiser matchmaking already! -
So half of NA get a 7-day ban right now, will this be a thing on EU too?
Aotearas replied to ThePurpleSmurf's topic in General Discussion
Has that one been completely translated/localized now, or is it still mostly in Russian? -
Like I said, the anime is a very good adaptation, so essentially the same thing as the manga, just in a different medium. I very much recommend both (hough the manga is obviously way ahead of the anime, then again that can also count as an advantage for longtime readers, they can just relive the earlier arcs with the anime whilst keeping up to date with the manga. Conversely, people who started with the anime miss negligibly little if they just start the manga from the point where the anime stopped since the adaptation is very faithful to the source material. One of the very, very few series that actually manage to capture the best of both worlds.

So they finally banned the OMNI h4x package? Or was it the TTT hags? I hope it's not the window-licking.exe ...

Still less frustrating DRM than SecuROM ...

Let me guess, you clicked on something in port and the game crashed? I get that roughly three ot five times per gaming session, ever since patch 0.6.1 (never had any such issues before that patch, game ran as stable as anyone could expect and then some, after that patch it was a mess). Can't help with it however, if I knew how to fix that issue I'd have done it already.

Even after stealthfiring was removed ... I personally blame the absence of manuals. I used to pop in the installation disk and let the installation run its course which could take quite some time back in the days (damn I feel old now ... I mean I still remember floppies ffs) and as that would do its thing, I'd read through the game's manual. By the time the game was installed and I could hop into it for the first time, I already knew the fundamental basics plus whichever tips the developers wrote into the manual.

Shokugeki no Souma season #3 is finally here!!! Watch, watch watch! If the show doesn't ring a bell: watch, watch, watch anyway (from the start though!). It's bloody amazing. The manga is one of the best series I've ever read and the anime is a damn good adaptation (which is something I don't say easily). And with season #3, we get to the really, REALLY juicy parts ... not that I'm saying the previous seasons weren't juicy, they damn well are, but with season #3 the anime will finally arrive at the apex of the series and if you don't read the manga and have no idea how the series might top itself, oh boy you're in for a treat!!!. Or in short and without me gushing around like some mad fangirl: watch Shokugeki no Souma (and/or read the manga). 10/10, unreserved recommendation to everyone. This is one of the real gems from the current anime/manga generations and not something anyone should overlook! Also, prepare stuff to eat/snack in preparation when you read/watch the series, trust me, you'll get hungry ("Shokugeki no Souma is a cooking manga"*). * Actual line from the manga I could go on and on about the beautiful artistry (not only the art design, but also the jawdroppingly amazing visualization of the actually dishes that will make you salivating), the diverse cast of characters, their interactions, character development, the incredible pacing and the sheer audacity of using orgasmic reactions to describe the deliciousness of the food (foodgasm - THE manga/anime) and it totally not feeling out of place (well okay, the first two anime episodes kinda went a wee bit overboard to catch the prebuscent audience I suppose), the dishes themselves (which you can actually cook, this isn't some sort of fantasy cooking, the manga volumes actually come with recipes and the series has chefs as advisors to assure realistic cooking, its techniques, etc.!). I mean, look at this (example from season #1): Look at this and tell me that ain't looking delicious and that you wouldn't get lost in a fantasy of turning into a magical cabbage girl just from the taste of it!!! Watch it!

Which forum members have you seen in random battles?

Very nice. I do think though you missed the ship's insignia on the bow. On the original photograph it's very hard to see, but I believe I can just make out the outline of it as a little shadowy bump on the hull right where the insignia ought to be!

Forgot a couple: Puella Magi Madoka Magica Ninja Scroll Basilisk Shingeki no Kyojin Re Zero kara Hajimeru Isekai Seikatsu Dimension W And I can scarcely believe I forgot to mention Dragonball ...the original no questions asked, the Z or later series are kinda hit or miss depending on your patience with the same formula over and over ... however Dragonball Z Abridged (fanmade parody) is abso-f*cking-lutely worth it (though I suppose you actually have to watch Z to get many of the quips), also their Hellsing Ultimate is killarious even though I personally never watched Hellsing. And then there's this fanmade gem: Which really begets the question as to why we don't already have a goddamn Star Wars anime. Gib me a full series of that good stuff and I'll fling money at Disney faster than Solo completed his Kessel Run! Hnnnnng!!!- 3,079 replies

Right guys, I did some math: If every Scrub were to generate the daily 3x10 oils, it would only take us 913 years, 3 months and two weeks to accumulate enough democra~ oil for the Rostral Column, assuming 30 dedicated clanmates. So get to it!- 3,079 replies

Clan Battle Announcement: No CVs allowed, max 1 BB per team, rent ships for players that don't have a TX yet
Aotearas replied to Allied_Winter's topic in General Discussion
As much as I don't agree with this CW stuff as many next ones, but this senseless flamewar and bashing other people has to stop. For one, I have zero doubt that even with the best of intentions and firmest of positions WG would've done what WG did. They evidently want to make these clan battles into a sport for the masses and since the vast majority of those masses are average bobs, NATURALLY the whole thing is going to be balanced around the lowest commonality they can find. I've been around enough [TTT] hags to know that they know their sh*t, so if they were invited for the testing, I'm confident in them having provided ample feedback that won't have meant to totally screw over a ship class and other boneheaded decisions WG made. And frankly, why would WG even give their words much priority when they're arguably not the target group. Who knows what chance WG even gave them to provide a platform for specific feedback details that WG might not have wanted to discuss much aynway, let alone if they actively considered scrapping the mode entirely in favour for ironining out their game first. A convenient scapegoat, that they are though and many people in here seem to be all to eager to just lash out at anything remotely tangible they can get a hand on. WG will always have had the last word, period. You guys should do well to remember that and direct your ire to where it belongs, not those you can reach the easiest (that's just being lazy). Even if WG were to consider community input down the road, all you lot are giving them is the perfect excuse to ignore the community! Yes, I believe this clan battles stuff is a steaming pile of crap. Yes, I personally think WG should rather get their heads into the game and fix the more important balance framework around their ship classes (particularily the state of CV gameplay and balance!)! No, I won't be playing clan battles (at least not seriously, maybe some clanmates will drag me in for some 7x Khaba lulruns). And yes, this is a another notch on a growing list of stuff WG done f*cked up! But this here right now? This is more of a sh*tfiesta than clan battles could ever be at their worst! -

Marvin is such a troll, purposefully sailing into my torps after I testfired them into nowhere. And he had even shot me beforehand (the torpedo testfiring was of course entirely unrelated!). Shame!- 3,079 replies

A truly tempting offer. If only there wasn't a developer doing so many questionable things (and not doing the many things they promised) ... I fear I would send the wrong message if I bought something from them at this point.

Aotearas replied to Loran_Battle's topic in Clan Recruitment
Urgh ... Contrast program is necessary: Now that's the real sh*t right here! And now I'll have to install FO3 again ... and all the mods. Damn, I still remember all the meddling work I had to do to get FOOK2 working conflict free with all the other mods I had installed, even had to modify some mods with the G.E.C.K. to remove placing conflicts. Not sure if I'm prepared to go through that headache again.- 3,079 replies

Take a gander at this: One Bismarck AP shell hits me (Z-23) for 7.656 damage. No, I didn't detonate (I survived that game, despite the game cheating!). Bismarck deals 11.600 alpha damage for citadel penetration, 3828 normal penetration and 1160 for an overpenetration. 7656 is precisely 2 x 3828, ergo two normal penetrations worth of damage. Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't a normal penetration work as in you hit a ship and the shell detonates anywhere inside that isn't a citadel hitbox, right? If so, how did that one shell manage to detonate twice, assuming it ceases to exist after hitting and detonating a target. How on earth did I suffer the equivalent of two normal pens with only one shell? Might I suggest someone look at the hit/damage calculation code to see what the hell happened there? And then (the gall of me asking for this) maybe, just maybe ... FIX THAT!? Alternatively, if I'm wrong and everything is working as intended™, would someone have the grace and explain to me where that second penetration is supposed to come from, that'd be real nice. BB AP is plenty nasty enough against DDs as it is, I'd prefer them not somehow getting a 2x damage boost out of nowhere. kthxfixplzbai

I just love it when people reply to an old thread, then comment with patently irrelevant stuff because they couldn't be bothered to actually read through the thread to notice things like the developers coming forth and confirming that it was in fact a problem with the game mechanics ...
