I don't quite think that is how he meant it considering he followed up with how he should be allowed to make fun of it (and therefore also making fun of them, i.e.: being insulting). There's always some people who find themselves insulted for no understandable reason, thankfully those are typically quite rare, though they also tend to be the loudest of the bunch so you're more likely to hear of them than about everyone else who're just going about their daily lifes without much of a fuzz.

Oh, when did I threaten anyone with police? Sure you're not mistaking me (and possibly others) for someone else? Not every foulmouthed kid on the internet is a troll. And not every troll is foulmouthed. The good ones tend to be quite the opposite, but I'd guess it's a privilige of the older internet generations to have witnessed actual quality trolling instead of what folks these days falsely call trolling. Counterquestion, why would you think insulting someone for ANY reason (for the sake of discussion let's assume the other party didn't insult you first) is appropriate? Even if you're of the opinion that religion is just delusional mambojambo, insulting religious people for that would just be you going out of your way specifically to be insulting. I mean, as long as they keep their religion to themselves, you can keep your opinion of it to yourself, right? Live and let live. I'm not religious myself. And whilst my opinion on religion could be largely described as me thinking of them as outdated relics (at least in the form and dogma they are currently taking and I could go on for ages about that, coincidentally some of the longest and most stimulating discussions I had were with religious people who actually could make coherent arguments instead of just repeating dogma and I can freely admit there's some good points to be made in favour for certain teachings being incorporated in massive systematic religions), my opinion on the actual religious institutions (the Catholic church for example) is much less tolerant, but that just means I don't go to any church. Just treat religion like an opinion. Everyone has one, some make more sense than others, but ultimately it's of little consequence to you as long as they don't try to force theirs on you (on that matter: oh how I enjoy annoying Jehova's Witness peeps!).

Yeah, because obviously every muslim is a militant fanatical or whatnot. There's totally not muslims, even in a conservative islamic nation like Saudi Arabia, who aren't antisemitic warmongers whose only law is the Sharia or whatever the next imam is preaching. But I suppose those muslims got lucky if your lack of empathy is as superficial as your prejudice. As for OP: It's the internet, you'll have to grow thicker skin, because Greater Internet F*ckwad Theory (GIFT for short) is a thing and you'll come across loads of people spouting such crap, hiding behind their percieved anonymity. Also keep in mind that naming and shaming is a terms of service violation regardless of circumstances. You can take it up with WG support (though don't hold your breath ...), but this kind of topic doesn't really belong on a forum as much as indivuduals such as the one you mentioned belong in front of a PC with internet access. Is it just me or do people become more and more oblivious to the actual meaning of trolling? Seriously, how some here are borderline equating hate speech with trolling or that people who speak out against such hate speech are just called SJW snowflakes ... it just boggles my mind. For the record: Trolling is provoking people for emotional responses, for the amusement of the troll. Hate speech is verbally/literary attacking people and has nothing to do with amusement and everything with simple hate. One of those two is fun (for at the very least one person, more with up to including the victim if it's high quality), the other is not.

[SCRUB] The Scrubs - Recruitment thingy

Welcome to Scrub Radio!!! You know that feeling when a powerful bass rythm seemingly makes your heart beat in synchronicity? That's for wussies! Here's the fullbody version. Some culture for you scrubs. Those ripped fellows are from Kodo,a group of professional wadaiko drummers. Think of it like a drumline, but on steroids. And let it be said (and understated) that this video utterly pales compared to seeing something like this live in person. Those huge drums aren't just for show. When they start hammering on those, you will FEEL it in your bones. And if they bring out the really big drums, something like this ... ... the rythm will literally make shockwaves through your body. Any decent Taiko performance will leave you shaken ... the really good ones will do everything short of knocking you out! If any of you lot ever have the chance to attend a show by a touring Taiko group and like percussion music even the tyniest bit, you should absolutely take the chance and attend. I can assure you the experience will make an impact (pun intended).- 3,079 replies

I ain't say no to free stuff! Obviously entering the raffle. Would love a Kidd if I get superlucky, the De Grasse if I'm slightly less super lucky or the Doubloons if I'm just normal lucky. I reserve the right to adjust my preferences regarding premium ships in case new ones meeting the winning criteria get released after the date of this comment. Good luck everyone and thanks Lupy!

So, I got used to the game crashing randomly when I click on something in port (like switching captains around, trying to buy upgrtades or whatnot), or when pressing the battle button ... or when the game loads. Annoying, but at least not impacting my gameplay aside from maybe missing a couple seconds of the match start. But with the last patch, the game also started completely freezing up ingame at random. I have to manually kill the process and restart the game. I don't think I'll have to explain exactly how frustrating and game impacting THAT is. The usual disclaimers: My PC is plenty powerful enough to run the game, don't even ask. My PC is NOT full of bloatware or other programs running in the background, it's just the game, TeamSpeak and my antivirus running at the same time at any given moment. Yes, the game and TeamSpeak have the proper clearances/exceptions so the antivirus doesn't interfere. Yes, the game also has the proper firewall exceptions. No, I don't have any mods installed. Yes, the game has had a fresh install just prior to the last patch and the client's integrity check came out all clear. No, support can go twirl their fingers about some other problem, because I have ZERO confidence in them being able to solve "random gamefreezes without error code" anytime soon ... that is if the first instance of support even knows anything aside from touching the power button. So, barring some fringe esoteric, untraceable incompatitiblity I'm reasonably certain that the problem causing those issues is NOT of my making (or otherwise within my power to eliminate) and I'd very much like it if WG could UN*Edited their game into something that is a bit more stable than a Jenga game stack during an Richter scale 10 earthquake. Which Ships you would you like to find in a supercontainer (but never buy) ?
Aotearas replied to Favuz's topic in General Discussion
Ships I got in super containers that I would've never bought (xmas containers, wasn't actually lucky enough to get a regular supercontainer with a ship yet): Ishizuchi, Warspite and Atlanta. Turns out I actually adore those ships now. Ships that I currently would never buy but would love to get in a supercontainer: Enterprise, Kaga, Kii and who would've seen this coming ... Krasny Krim. Wouldn't buy those because: No point investing any money into CVs right now until WG actually figures out how to properly implement them in the game. Don't want to add to the BB heavy meta, let alone give WG any ideas about continuing with the premium BB dumping, though I would still like to play a brawling IJN BB. As for the Krasny Krim, looks like a meh boat at best, but with its 130mm maingun battery I'd bet an AFT+IFHE captain would make that ship mighty troll'y for tier V -
I like Cleveland - will I like Atlanta?
Aotearas replied to Ryouzanpakku's topic in General Discussion
Atlanta+Flint+Belfast. Flint with hydro instead of DFAA. Flint and Belfast can chain smokes and hydro, Belfast and Atlanta can chain radar. Flint has longer range torps, Atlanta shortrange torps just in case anyone wants to foolishly rush the smoke. 8,49km radius of thou shall not pass! Spotting optional if you just put yourself in a position where the enemy has to cross nearby if they don't want to sail across the entire map only to try the other side. -
I like Cleveland - will I like Atlanta?
Aotearas replied to Ryouzanpakku's topic in General Discussion
Atlanta is like a knuckle curveball, even the pitcher won't know exactly where that ball is going once you throw it. You can't really compare her to any other ship and say if you like that one, you'd like the Atlanta. Comparing it to the Cleveland (or any other cruiser really) is difficult, because the Atlanta is so squishy (which means positioning yourself where you can't get shot at is the single most important thing), but also because the guns are so cruiser-unlike (think of sailing a couple Mahans strapped together). Comparing it to DDs is likewise inaccurate, because DDs are much stealthier and better at evasion tanking since they're a smaller target. Captain build is also a bit peculiar (though I suppose with the upcoming US CL line split a CE/AFT/IFHE captain build is probably going to be the go-to spec so at least you should be able to use the captain on those ships aswell). I'd say unless you're really confident in your map awareness, positioning and prediction skills (where is the enemy going to be in a couple minutes so you can put yourself somewhere neat), you might have a bad time with the Atlanta. If you can make it work however, this ship with its unique playstyle is fun like no other ship in the game (and can also be surprisingly effective). Or in short: Very low skill floor, very high skill ceiling ... recommended only for experienced/skilled players. -
Does that mean I'm finally of their sh*tlist? Sweet!

Daily Atlanta dose: Extremely advantagous MM. Only thing that missed was a couple CVs to make it perfect ... a cheeky kill secure on the Cesare and the Jianwei detonating resulted in a Kraken. And no, I still don't like detonations even if they are to my benefit (that DD would've died to me anyway). -

I used esoteric for lack of a better description. Afaik de jure the official term is avant-garde metal, but it doesn't give justice to the range DSO employs. They work so many different styles into their tracks, ranging from boogie, swing, symphonic metal to various latin-american styles (tango, samba, etc.) ... their upcoming album seems to have taken a liking to disco styles aswell. If it's not your thing, then it's not. Just be aware that you can't judge their music based on individual songs and all their albums have a couple outliers that break the established mold so it might just be worth it to sit through just in case you come across a gem that hits all your right notes. I for one found them to be a treasure chest precisely for that reason, but that's just me.- 3,079 replies

I'm just saying it Once. And if you like the more esoteric versions of metal music: Diablo Swing Orchestra. Yes, those are three different links (didn't find a better version for the last album, but sound quality is good enough). I swear, this band is criminally underrated! One of the few artists that I actually put money down to get high quality downloads for their albums instead of just listening off Youtube for free. First album is available for free btw.- 3,079 replies

Not the most impressive damage number but considering the entire match lasted a mere six minutes before the red team's points hit rock bottom, still a nice showing. My divisionmate though got the short end of the stick. Initially the only thing spotted opposing us was a single Akatsuki, so I asked him to spot ... problem was he quickly also spotted a Gaede and a Budyonny, all of which only had him to shoot at since I was snugly parking in his smoke and any other teammates were faaaar out (I must've misread the Cesare stats, I was under the impression it could do more than 15 knots). Khaba doing what Khaba does best. Which for some strange reason still includes torping stuff in between shooting them in the face whilst being ignored by the ship you're rushing!? I mean, not to look a gift cyka in her blyat but I'm just a wee bit befuddled as to why a Kurfürst might think it sensible to ignore a guns blazing Khabarovsk making a beeline for it right within the limited torpedo range. Whatever ... -
Which forum members have you seen in random battles?
Aotearas replied to Cobra6's topic in General Discussion
Yep. Stingy bastard could've sent me a couple more jap planes to shoot down in my AA Iowa. Coward only tried once. Shame I couldn't really do much more than be our team's punching bag. Sadly that was the last decent game I had today and the end of an eight game winning streak. Next teams I got were the special kind, including one Midway who apparently never learned what manual attacks or strafing are, which meant the enemy Midway (who to just pour more salt into the wound was actually a pretty competent player) could indefinately keep our DDs (which included me) spotted, with predictable results. In other news, swam across @TeaCupYuri in his Memotaur. Despite a very special pair of a Z-52 and a Bismarck going on a sightseeing tour and rather passive BBs in general (on both sides), he made quite an impression on the enemy DDs I believe. Once again, I was busy tanking for our poor squishy BBs in my Hindenburg (2,5kk potential damage and Dreadnought, cuz that's apparently the cruisers' new job). -

The best players typically never say they're the best. They'll say they could be better still. I wouldn't exactly call it doubt though. Doubt is an uncertainty. More important for the learning process is rather the opposite, the certainty that you can do better and from that point onwards, it's a matter of indentifying things you can improve and how to. And you can always do better, there is no such thing as being good enough, only diminishing returns.

What Were Your Greatest Gaming Achievements Today ?
Aotearas replied to Hanszeehock's topic in General Discussion
Hindenburg strikes yet again. I can't stop singing this ship's praises and it deserves each and every one of them. By far my favourite tier X cruiser and by extension imho the best cruiser in the entire game (and yes, that competition includes the Belfast and Kutuzov). So reliable! The only cruiser that beats the Hindenburg in anything is the Atlanta, because that ship is just a joy to sail, winning in pure funfactor (and really nothing else ...): Bottom tier? Tears of the Cruisers map? Epicenter? Pffft, who cares! I got lucky today, still seemed plenty potatoes about, but they where almost exclusively on the enemy teams today (including one tier X game that was won so fast I managed to only get 21k damage done in my Iowa before the enemy ran out of points, made for a meh game, but at least I wasn't on the losing team). Even got another supercontainer today ... sadly there was that useless Damage Control Party Modification 1 in there instead of something useful. -

WG fix [edited]BB AP against DDs already
Aotearas replied to ClappingLollies's topic in General Discussion
Yes because the game, MM and class distribution remained completely unchanged throughout ever since the game got live ... Great advice. One question though? Why did you so foolishly allow yourself to be detected and subsequently sunk by that aircraft carrier. Surely using your stealth to avoid getting dropped on to begin with would've been the common sense thing to do, eh?
