  1. Your friend knows he has to accept the gift via Email first before he gets them credited to his account, right? Because if he simply looked ingame without accepting the gift beforehand, he will see nothing even if WG sent him the gift notice. Always, ALWAYS run through support before cancelling payments, otherwise all they see is you not complying with the purchase contract.

No music connoisseurs in the English subsection? SHAME!!! I'll just go along and continue alone then. Above post was dedicated to Beats Antique, this one is for Muse (one track was already linked in the opening post but Muse is good enough to get a couple mentions):
  5. First episodes for 'Basilisk: Ouka Ninpouchou' and 'Overlord II' started solid. Title doesn't ring a bell for me and from a quick glance over the summary in the anime chart I wouldn't guess it's something that's inside my usual fields of interest. If you want me to join the hype, you gotta sell it to me with a bit more than a trailer. I want to read you gushing over it. Hype is nothing without passion! Sing its praises, what I should expect, why exactly I ought to be rest sleepless the day before the next episode airs. If you can't do that, then there's no hype! Now then ... LAY INTO ME!!!
  6. It goes a bit further than that. Not just trapped in a world, but trapped in the character, which comes with interesting ramifications as the story progresses. Overlord is actually quite intriguing. Sadly for people only watching the anime without any knowledge about the LN it might come off as a typical Isekai with Mary Sue main character, which it most definately ISN'T, though the anime has completely failed to point that out to uninitiated viewers (I myself thought it was so and only stuck around because I found it funny enough to watch, until I came across a fanrant that highlighted that particular misconception and then delved a bit deeper into the source material). As for the new anime season, so far only got 'Basilisk: Ouka Ninpouchou', 'Overlord II' and 'Fate/EXTRA Last Encore' on my radar right now. 'Hakata Tonkotsu Ramens' sounds interesting too so I might check that out. Open for more recommendations!
  7. @Yaskaraxx and his Nelson swam across our division. Actually ended up in a little stalemate as he was rushing my smoke (well, as a Nelson rushes anyhow, within my smoke detectability if I fired at least) and my HP were in the deep red so I held my fire until he fired his main batteries at another friendly and then rushed the remaining ~3km distance myself, IFHE pounding his bow to soften up his more or less full HP Nelson until he was low enough that my subsequent ram sank him. I was cackling like a madman after that, @FlutterRage and @T0L0S can attest to that as they had to listen to that on TS. Sadly the game crashed right after so I didn't get any screenshots from the match results. 32k ramming damage

    SAIPAN NERF!!

Naw, hydro is the german shtick. Saipan being USN obviously needs radar, duh. In fact, aircraft mounted radar. Whenever you pop that consumable, each aircraft will radar everything in a 8,49km radius around its position.

    Fun and Engaging?

Well, I am a Scrub ... Sweet! Is that from random containers too or did you pump those numbers with Yamamoto containers?

    Fun and Engaging?

Yep, I know. But since the collection offers only cosmetic benefits and runs indefinately, no point in rushing it. Nailed it.

    Fun and Engaging?

Bruh ... And that is pure random container drops, not a single Yamamoto container bought. I had actually wanted to break 100 duplicates before making the very same topic, but you ninja'd my idea.
  12. So it basically confirms what I have been suspecting the whole time, the rewards for actively spotting are miniscule (especially since DoT damage doesn't count) at the best of times and the risk/reward ratio for cruisers and BBs laughably horrendous. Definately confirms the impressions you get from games with spotting damage well in excess of 100.000 spotting damage but next to no XP or credit games unless you also did plenty damage by yourself. I can only assume that the rewards for tanking are equally underwhelming. Bottom line: selfish play earns more XP and credits (as long as you don't lose every game).

    SAIPAN NERF!!

The RN patented black magic zombie heal to be exact. I will settle for no halfbaked crumpets like those uppity colonials, almond eyes, jerries, frenchmen, bolshewiks and those pasta-paparazzi. The Royal Navy was is the best navy in the world after all, so it wouldn't be overpowered anyway, just historically accurate. They should totally definately nerf the Tirpitz though. Her leaving the port to actually make battle is completely unrealistic! Britannia rules the waves. And where necessary for the proper, historical balance, Britannia also waives the rules!

    SAIPAN NERF!!

I know, I was being facetious. And I wouldn't argue that the Saipan were perfectly balanced outside the free strafe-outs, considering that having tier IX planes means they are ludicrously tough for tier VII~ AA to take out (let alone tier VI ... let's not even think about tier V). Outside singular AA powerhouses like the Cleveland, Atlanta or specifically full AA spec'ed ships you really only start seeing AA that can reliably cull Saipan planes at tier VIII, i.e.: if the Saipan is being uptiered. If I were to think about balance tweaks for the Saipan, I'd lower the plane tier to at least tier VIII if I wanted to keep the smaller squadrons and then either increased the fighter squadron size to 4 and get rid of the strafe-out exception, or keep the 3 fighter squadrons and the exception but slash their ammunition loadout significantly so a Saipan player making ample use of the strafe-out has to recall his fighters for resupplies after a couple strafes. But alas, woe be upon WG if they actually nerfed a premium ship ... And it's about time that changes so no one gets to think themselves smart for ragequitting a game just because the matchmaker gives them a challenge. If you want to play a game where you win without effort, go play Mario Kart 8. I hear the autodrive function wins races completely without input if you drive in the 50ccm category.

    SAIPAN NERF!!

Your proposed method of forcing players to stop playing the Saipan via quitting the game each time you meet one has one tiny little flaw though: if your team's CV quits the game and lets the enemy Saipan do its thing unopposed and just farm damage for free, chances are this will result in a win for the Saipan in the vast majority of games. How is getting wins and easy damage for free going to dissuade people from using their Saipan?
  16. Aotearas

    SAIPAN NERF!!

Well, they could indirectly nerf the ship by changing a global CV mechanic that effects all CVs, thus not being a specific nerf to a specific ship. Something like introducing a mechanic that allows fighters to strafe out of fighter engagements at the cost of automatically losing a fighter for example ...

Let iChase illustrate why I quit the game yesterday.

Yeah, that's not how that works. Try going on the neighbourhood sports field, play football (soccer for those across the pond if there's any reading this) but instead of playing the game as you're supposed to you just start kicking the ball into random directions, pass to ball to opposing players, make own-goals and then tell the other people to quit if they complain because clearly they are the ones causing all the ruckus when they tell you to stop f*cking around after kicking the ball out the sidelines for the third time.

  21. I don't think that upgrade needs much introduction, it's borderline useless and I can't imagine anyone would like to see that as a SC drop (other than the equally bad spotter plane modification). How could one polish that turd into something viable. Something that players actually might want to use? I have one suggestion: Upon installing the upgrade, the Damage Control Party consumable gets switched out for a Gangut'esque version, benefiting from significantly decreased consumable cooldown at the expense of shorter action time and a limited supply of charges. Any thoughts from the community about that? Maybe @Sub_Octavian or someone else from WG might ponder the possibilities of such an idea if it is at all something that can be implemented in the game?

Most Fun and Least Fun Ship & Why

Atlanta caters to a specific playertype, something like the Dark Souls-guys of the WoWs playerbase. The ship is far from easy to play and ever harder to play well with. It's challenging to make her sing, but once you get her going the staccato of her 127mm guns is one of the sweetest melodies in the game. Atlanta isn't the best ship, but she has character (and a mean one at that). Something I wouldn't say about the vast majority of ships in the game. As for why you might be seeing so many meh Atlantas sailing around being easy pick-offs; she's discounted and a possible prize ship in the Santa crates, so that could be a reason.
