Doesn't say much unless you tell exactly which CPU and GPU we're talking about, since there's lots of difference performance categories and a budget CPU/GPU can hardly compare to a high-spec one from the same year. That said I don't think ship wakes would be particularily demanding, though then again if the PC had just been scraping by, any additional load no matter how tiny might just be the drop that spills the barrel so to speak.

Until someone starts drawing penises and spelling profanities on the minimap. Would be amazingly useful if one could compartmentalize it, say only sharing the information with divisionmates, clanmates, etc.. But with randoms I don't see this being anything more than a ticking timebomb until someone figures out how to be a raging annoyance with it, at which point the only recourse to reliable get rid of said annoyance would be to uninstall the mod again (unless the mod comes with a mute function).

That rule isn't to silence cases where It's well earned. It's to make sure no one can just come around and start claiming random user #43 did this or that. You'd be surprised what a particularily malicious jerkass can produce as proof with some basic photoshop skills. That's why the rule exists and why people should adhere to it.

This proves nothing. The gif starts with the shells already well in flight. Obviously the smoke hack comes into play when you're aiming (which is conveniently not shown) and not when the shell hits, duh.

By all means, slap RPF on everything, the sooner the playerbase saturates the server with RPF captains, the sooner we'll get rid of it (as per WG's own words).

Have you checked if you can unlock the ships (Iron Duke and Mogami) via the tech tree? It might be just a UI thing, so I'd try to unlock those ships and check if it wants to unlock with free XP or not. Alternatively (though not a particularily helpful choice if you're strapped for cash) you could rebuy the ships and see if the XP pop-up along with them again. Because ship XP shouldn't go missing like that, it's tied to your account after all. Also, why would you want to sell a ship before unlocking the successor? Even if you need the cash and port slot, it's much less of a hazzle with the port UI to unlock the new ship and THEN sell the old one.

Some mods appear to simply not have much in the way of humour. All I did was link to another such hackusation forum thread that went memetic at this point. It's in the offtopic section if you want to have some fun, just look for the edited, dirty trick clan.

I suppose that would be a good way to drive off a customer, so by all means, let them do their worst.

I like how the mods deleted our tongue-in-cheek thread links for being irrelevant remarks, but didn't lock this topic for being spam at best or genuinely asking for links to cheating websites at worst (which I believe was considered a serious no-no not too long ago ...). Yeah, that Blys was a bit special too ... does nothing the first couple minutes, then goes up the 9 line when every enemy ship except the Mahan already fled that general vicinity and then somehow managed to get himself killed by that Mahan, despite the fact that my divisionmate in his NC was actually helping him and had put a couple chunky salvoes into that Mahan so it was far from a fair 1vs1. But I seriously wonder how many of our Taiho's aircraft kills where catapult aircraft. Because I've seen him going for a double-tagging spotter airplanes whilst the enemy CV was about to strike another ship. But whatever, weekend.
