    "Retarded"

No sh*t Sherlock ... Anything used as an insult will always be offensive and insensitive, that's the entire point about insulting. You and others aren't going to get insulted by someone in a sensitive, inoffensive way. People know it's unappropriate and that is EXACTLY why they use it as an insult. I wish people would simply stop drawing lines about what kind of insult were unacceptable or not, because quite frankly the idea that some insults are more offensive than others is incredibly flawed. Insult is insult and the intent behind it is to offend, period. Exactly how much it offends is the recipient's choice and has precious little to do with one term being arbitrarily more insensitive than another.

    Someone please explain

Let me guess, it went something like this: Damage saturation.

Dem @Seaman80 über'n Weg geschippert. Hatten ein bischen Spaß in unseren Aigles, er hat sich die Normadie geschnappt und ich etwas später die Mutsu. Das nenne ich doch mal gute Aufgabenverteilung.

    Aigle HE bugged

Currently busy doing the Gold of France missions with the Aigle as I have to work over weekend, but it should be easy to test in training room if one wants to try. I can't say with certainty that the HE is bugged, but I do get suspiciously low HE damage for the penetrating hits I land and I very much try not to shoot saturated ship parts so it is definately an oddity worth checking out if I have the time after the weekend.
  6. Finished the Aigle marathon today and played a few games in her, this is the highlight so far: Can't say I value the Aigle highly. It has meh concealment, poor ruddershift, the guns have absolutely horrible firing arcs, poor turret traverse (even with Expert Marksman it's still 20 seconds for 180° turn) and with only 700m/s muzzle velocity the shells take a long time to reach the target. HE damage also appears bugged against BBs (go figure). Firing range is decent, but with aforementioned poor ballistics it's tough to hit anything more manouverable than a battleship at those ranges. Firechance is good though, 12% with signal flags and Demolition Expert. Torpedoes have nasty alpha damage, but poor range and not very fast. Essentially you need enemies sailing towards your torps or be stupid enough to make themselves a nice target near an angry smoke. Overall a pretty meh boat. So of course I top the scoreboard in a tier VIII match with 2,5k base XP and 128k damage done, because apparently sailing bad ships is what I'm best at ... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

    Aigle HE bugged

Since I just gopt the Aigle and played a few games in it I can confirm that the HE alpha against at the very least BBs is suspiciously low. Haven't really tried gunboating against cruisers so I can't say if it's the same with them, but I can confirm that the HE does the normal damage against DDs.

Finally some good news for CV fans

Oh, my peeve with the anime isn't that bit of detail and has more to do with it toning down and outright censoring any sort of violence for an accessible T rating and is happily cutting away quite important facets of the title's focal themes and its characters. That's why I think letting a Shounen/Shoujou production group adapt a Seinen light novel was a terrible choice and why I very much prefer the manga adaptation. But again, I digress and I don't want to get on a detailed offtopic rant. In slightly less offtopic, in the latest manga chapter they've shown a C5 Galaxy and had foreign officials/visitors wonder how on earth they got that through the gate.

    Conqueror is IMPOSSIBLE to citadel!!1!!!1!

To what end, if you don't mind me asking? Because if what you're looking at and/or classifying as a problem is the apparent fact than broadsiding BBs can now get somewhat reliably citadeled and you want data from us to change that back to BBs sailing broadside without fearing citadel hits, then my answer is no. Finally being able to reliably punish broadside Conquerors (and other BBs) is a good thing. The only problematic ship I've seen/heard about so far is the Republique being easily citadeled by cruisers (in training room tests that is, no idea how apparent that issue is in actual battles with moving and angling ships).
  11. Had an interesting session today. Pretty sure @FlutterRage is cursed because when I divisioned up with him, we lost every game except for one (and that was a lousy, boring landslide victory with meh XP despite me topscoring, you know that kind of game) and I just had the worst of luck running into the entire enemy teams or run into unavoidable torps that weren't even meant for me ... But when I played solo, everything went butterly smooth, didn't lose a single game. What the hell Flutter, go see an exorcist or something! Anyhow, since I've been going off the deep end with my Atlanta a bit lately, something different today: Oh hon hon hon ... I'm really starting to fall in amour avec the Henry IV. This thing is dishing out citadels like: The AP on those 240mm guns is so sacre bleu potent I barely even shoot HE. Which is a damn shame, because I've actually specced my HIV with IFHE for that juicy 52mm HE pen ... but cruisers just seem to keep showing me their sexy sides, maybe it's that french charm.

'Gate' doesn't have prop-fighters though. Or at least the manga doesn't, no idea what the anime decided to concoct up though since they've been a lot of artistic freedom to screw with the material ... producers should've known better than give that sort of material to a studio that's 99% slice of life and romance productions. But I'll stop here, otherwise I'd be ranting on for a whole lot of time about how the anime adaptation is meh.

Oh, the Corsair is just sexy. Imho the german FW 190 also pulled it off. Though the rest of radial engine powered aircraft tend to look a bit ... chubby.

So if avatars are now a reflection of the user's idea of beauty, what does that say about you? Are your beauty ideals as empty as your avatar?
  19. OP also mistakingly dismissed Seagull because he wasn't aware that as an unique captain he also has unique skills. Knowing that a captain is unique is half the step, so I'm pretty sure that little tidbit of information is very much useful, particularily since it puts a name to the question that a player could easily google and find the remaining information about the exact skills ...

    Noob protection

Remember people, just because you can't prove it, doesn't mean they aren't out to get you! I'll just say my own 0.02 Euro on this matter: RNG as a game mechanic is a normalizer: Players with exceptionally precise aim don't get the full benefit because RNG puts some shells where you didn't aim (and where the enemy ship isn't). Players with poor aim can get the benefit of RNG putting some shells where they didn't aim (and hit the enemy ship that wasn't going to be where said player originally aimed at). A potato sailing full broadside in a straight line presenting himself as the most cooperative target a player could possibly hope for can end up getting away scotfree because RNG said "no hits for you this time". A unicum can do evasive manouvres, alternating speed all he wants and some stray shell can fly way off target, hit, overmatch and citadel because RNG said so. As a basic game mechanic, RNG creates a median of efficacy. For good players that means RNG will drag their performance down to a level lower than their skill would result in, that is frustrating. For less good players, the RNG will help improve their performance through the sheer happenstance of luck. It lowers the skill ceiling and elevates the skill floor with all things RNG dependant. Now, to complete the Scrub tin foil group photograph:

Just to make sure, you're not sharing the account with a friend, family member or so who could've logged in, researched and bought a new ship when you weren't looking?

    Change Smoke Screen Physics

Hard to judge with the situational informations we have. Kiev is the last ship on the RU gunboat line that actually has decent concealment and trades nothing for its smoke so it can attempt to capture if other elements such as enemy DD positions are accounted for (say only one DD per team and the enemy team is capping another zone, meaning low chance of the DD outspotting and contesting the same cap). Though yeah, if that wasn't accounted for and he just cyka blyat rushed B no matter the possible opposition, those would be alarm bells ringing for me too.
