I love reading through these topics. You get some thoughtful discussion for tweaks to CVs and spotting in general (radio range for example) and then you get the people whose argument can be summarized as, "I want to be effectively invulnerable to a CV and not have to consider their existence in the match as a threat". So many poorly thought our arguments that seem to boil down to a belief that if a ship can hit you, you should be able to directly hit them too. This just doesn't make sense, not just when you consider what a CV is, but the fact other surface ships can do this too. Stealth torps, island camping, island hot boxing with a brit cruiser. CVs are not invulnerable. They are the only class that can have their attack completely negated. If played wrong, or if the enemy use this weird trick called "team work", it suddenly becomes rather hard as a CV player to do much to them.
In general, CVs are here to stay. They are a core part of the game mechanics and effectively redefined naval warfare in the 20th century. Thousands of premium CV ships have been sold to the servers and removal of something like that has never happened in the history of a WG game. With that in mind, ideas that basically remove the ability of a CV to play or have any noticeable impact on a match should basically be ignored as they are not arguments for balance, but rather retribution. Focusing on making CV play enjoyable for the CV player and still keeping it playable/enjoyable for others should be the goal. Comparing the CV game play of today to what i remember it being years ago, it is an improvement. Perhaps as this continues people will realize the necessity of teamwork to actually be successful and hopefully future tweaks will make this more of a thing for all ship classes, thus removing the ability or expectation to be able to "lone wolf it".
