How It Works: Economics – XP and Credits

I will explain that as soon as I get to watch it again, as I assume you want time stamps.!!! edit !!!! The video you refered to is not even the viodeo you had linked in the article ... that would be that: So lets see - one thing that make me wonnder. At 0:29 you claim that our account is virtual? So basically you wanted to tell what ? What follows is basically my humble opinion, taking the assumption, if I would be greedy. At 0:35 You explain that there is no xp gain for damage on planes. As my fellow forum members allready explained there is no explanation for spotting mechancics At 01:14 you basically explain that camping is the best solution - because you get the most experience for inflicting damage and sinking ships - which means vice versa it might be better to camp. At 01:44 You explain why kill stealing might be a valueable hobby. Around 02:40 you encourage camping again. At least that would be my perception if I were greedy. Also my fellow forum players added a lot of what in my mind. Take Paveways feedback, as well as VladoCro and Fesvils. But having seen this I doubt it was worth the time I invested.

Yes but looking at the current gameplay, that is not the message greedy people will understand. Becasue sometimes that requires playing together ... which is not explained at all.

Which would be a valid claim if we had known that in the first place. But for some reason, I can not explain - you claim, we would like surprises. I can assure you all the people I talked to - do not like them.

I am aware of your EULA as you call it. I am also aware of the things you had done recently. I am not talking about legal claims right now,. but about marketing. It is quite easier to sell something if people could rely on your word, instead of being in constant worries that something they loved to play could be gone tomorrow. Lois McMaster Bulold had in one of her books an interesting quote "Nether trust anyone farther, as you can throw him." In the online game I am going to play again, was a different approach to that matter - as I said they sugarcoated the bitter pill, or gave me the choice to keep my stuff the way it is. The choices to sugarcoat may differ. I hardly doubt that they lost money by giving virtual goods away - taking in account that the game is running longer than 10 years now.

Taking in account that the rocket wing will be not be useful for most of the players - what I suggested was that one should be able to pick the wings one wants to have - prior to battle- in port similar like it was prior rework with the different carrier setups - so basically that one could replace the rocket wing with torpedo- or divebombers. Well you do not have to agree with that. Fact is you exclude people who have only time in the early morning hours. And there is actually no reason to do so - at least in the standard "events". Same reason as above and the time limitation. So lets assume one might have 2 hours per day in the morning .... niente. The other thing is that every person might have a different biorythm. Some are early birds others are not. You also keep forgetting that players from al lover the world play on different servers. So you basically exclude them in any case?

You meant in encourages to play in a way which does not help the team at all? Because, i.m.h.o. it does nothing else?

As I am thinking just taking out the ability to aim would have the same effect. Not being able to use them anymore. Well - I think we should be able to exchange wings in general for wings of our choice But as it affects the fighters - I would like to be able to exchange the rocketfighterwing for torpedo tor divebombers - depending on my preference. But I assume that will be impossible - just like the not working autopilot will work at which time exactly? Well you asked me to be blunt so please do not feel personally offendet. As I am basically talking from my personal reception and the ones of people according to wargamings behaviour. As I was not talking about money there might be some things to think about. And it opposite what you seem to believe - you do not loose anything - if you would be doing that. You see that is the general problem you guys have at WG. There seems to be always a disconnect between rational reasonable choices and the decisions somebody in the company does. Basically a game should be fun - but the more I talk to people - I get the impression you are taking it out.So they will leave. The current time limits exclude shiftworkers - also people with a family. I know at least one person who would have been investing in your game a lot of cash - but did quit because the time requirenments were too high. Changing that game on that place without offering compensation is like giving us another bitter pill - after we tried to adjust to your bad created carrier gameplay. Usually you want to sugarcoat something like that. Which would lead to a win win situation in general. And as some players kept their premium carriers years ago - trusting in your promise they would be fixed -while others bought them - what would be a proper thing to do to adress this. The bad thing seems to be - you do not even notice it?

As german cv have ap rockets - why do they change as well ? As some players may not handle the rocket planes anymore - what will you offer for our carriers ? Silverships = credits and free xp - Premium = dubloons ? Or will there be an opti-on to swap wings?

But the paste and copy would allow to sell the same ship while customers have the option of safety that nothing will be changed. In the current state you are selling actually nothing with a skin. With your disclaimer - taking the right to change anything you might actually sell less. It is the same as with permanent camouflages after the Moskva incident. I.m.h.o. all you take away is the customers trust - while keeping it, would have been more beneficial for you as company.

Because the solution will keep some careless players unhappy. Therefore they might just simply get suicidal - as they do not get any reward in the first place - but still have to pay for ammunition and maintainance. So why would they invest more time and credits? And you prior to that allready a proper solution. It also keeps me from firing on targets near friendly ships ... as I could loose my income - I rather watch them sink. Only if I call the squad back, as it can not fly to an assigned position or attac an assigned target on its own - like it used to be - prior rework. Which would techically mean I had to rely on my secondaries - which is not really an option for all carriers. Even if it is - I have to sacrifice other important skills - in orderr to do that. The game environments gets, i.m.h.o. more and more hostile for single players, with every captains rework you have done, up to now.. With high regards.

Hm lets think about it - good idea - i.m.h.o. bad execution - you might think about reflecting the team damage instead on the other hand does the suggested solution does not reflect your rng factor - so lets put it blunt - you are just solving an issue by creating a new one - while you actually would have a proper solution in stock. It is just sad. Can we get another chance to give carriers back for free xp or in case of prem carriers dubloons? Will you fix the autopilot for cv -alternatively give us back manual controls for steering - as it used to be. Do not get me wrong, but it looks like a money grab - as we need new captains now. Provided you use your current publishing ways. It would have been better if it had been in the european tree - at least as long as you have nothing else to offer there. And your "information policy" is i.m.h.o. a really bad habbit. But you are going to keep it right ? As there is almost nothing better to alienate customers. Except the lack of missing 2 way communication - or changes in your companies policy which show a certain pattern But who knows maybe it is the best we can get.. The general question - will you ever fix known issues before creating new content. And what the change of premiumships is concerned - maybe just bring new variants instead .... you can always go from Enterprise to Enterprise Z instead of giving customers the same uncertain feeling they have if they buy premium camouflages these days.
