If there is 1 dd blocking the cap and there are 2 enemy ships in the zone, they should just rush the dd while wasding. It might be interesting to have your idea implemented on epicenter mode but i strongly disagree for standard and domination modes.

Ffs. I never said to remove it. I said it needs rework because it renders ABSOLUTELY USELESS the dds. Is it such a hard concept to understand? I like radar. I dont like 12km radar. I dont like 10km radar. I dont like 1 minute radar. I dont like 4 ships per side with radar, without even counting for hydro. I dont like caps having 5 to 9km circles which are no go zones. Radar should stay but be reworked. And for gods shake, BBs got concealment mod, we sucked it. BBs got rudder shift mod, we sucked it. BBs got hydro, we sucked it. Smoke nerfs, we sucked it. Stealth fire, we sucked it. Well, we are not gonna [edited]acccept radar-wall-fests for no freaking reason. We cant contest, we cant knife fight, we cant get close, we cant use guns, we cant use torps. Would you like sugar with your coffee Yamato-captain-sir? Or fries with your humburger?

So how exactly am i gonna spot a lets say cleveland with (11.88 detection range -10% concealment mod -10% from CE skill)=9km datection range when that same ship has 9.9km radar and get out alive? If CE is not used on Cleve captains apologies.It still has 10km surface detection. Episparh you ignore the part where they park behind islands. Should i take a 10 minute detour then, to go behind enemy lines just to have a clear los on the radar ships that no1 on my team can hit?

I dont want the radar to be removed. I want it reworked. Also, i want cruisers in games to counter dds. Having radar that can lock down 2 caps is not logical. Either give it a los to work, so they will have to put out half their body from behind that island for radar to work or lower the range and the duration. And if you think that radar works ok now please feel free to tell me how to exactly play my destroyers in the new meta. In some maps, radar can be somewhat worked-around because there is enough space to flank. On the majority of the maps though there is no such option. Did i say everything? I only spoke about my duties as a dd which i can no longer perform. Do you guys even realise that most of the capping these days is being done by battleships and cruisers pushing into caps and not by dds? We cant cap, we cant knife fight, in many cases we cant even get close to torp, and if we torp from max range nothing is gonna land. Countering dds is one thing. Rendering them useless is another.

Fun story: We spawn North on the ice map. I am a stock pleb Yugumo with 10km torps, only concealment mod and cap in retrain(5.8km detection range). We lemming C.The 3 ships that went to A were dead in 3 minutes. Behind the south island on B there is a cleveland(9.9km radar) parked. Behind the north island on B there is a Moskva(11.7km radar) parked. They keep poping radar one after another. 16 minutes into the game i have zero damage, 1 assisted cap and i am down to 3k hp. Couldnt even get close to B and my torps couldnt reach anything. I wouldnt have been able to land torp hits even if i had the 12km torps. I get mad and rush the cleve.Killed cleve and the enemy fletcher that was passing next to it with torps. Got rekt by Moskva in the process. Team finally went out of full retard mode and pushed B managing to win the game in the last few seconds. This is how 2 Radar ships can render useless a whole type of ships. As a dd i couldnt cap, couldnt contest, couldnt damage. What should have i done? Spot and do circles? Flank?Flank where and for what? To get radared by that missuri another 10km behind them?Fak that. And that was a game with only 2 radar cruisers. This is game braking.

The only one who has the means to provide solid proof is WG not the players. So please lets stop that silly meme. Asking som1 to proove that dd population is declining. Sure mate, i ll just pull the infographics from wg servers. Think before you type.

German and french bbs and PA dds did not bring game braking changes. ( (10km Radar for more than a minute x 4) per ship) x 5 ships per side is fucked up.And i am not talking about hydro. Thats what people refuse to understand. And we are only talking about radars for now. Wait a few days for cvs to come back, since who the F runs AA when he can run 10km radar, and see the shitstorm that will hit the forums. I am not against radars per se, but they either need a [edited]line of sight or to be reduced down to 7-8 km.Wanna use radar?Move the [edited]inside caps with bbs and play the objective instead of hide and seek.

On tier 9 and 10 that is true if you did not manage to pull your weight. But on lower tiers i do not have that issue. Have you tried not running with every consumable premium? That could save a bit on the expenses. Also, i am using a simple account and i own no premium ships. I sealclub at tier 4 and 5 to grind money (which is a very SLOW process) but i still dont have the same issue as you. On bbs i use premium repair only, on takao premium heal, on us dds premium smoke, on shiratsuyu premium torp reload and cheapest -3% detectability camo on all dds. If you are not running with all consumables premium, probably you will have to improve your game and damage

If you have those people in your friendlist you could just start a voice call with em. If you mean: go in game, ask for a division and at that moment have all 3 people join a discord server and join a voice channel that is not going to work. The game has an option for ingame voice communication that is off by default.It would be easier to coordinate something there.Easier does not equal easy. Better get into a clan and division from there

So i recently returned to the game. Before the ijn dd split i had researched but not purchased the tier 9 ship of the line. Now, i want to grind the alternative line but the t7 ship of the alt line is not researched and i have to grind it again through the badsuharu. Is this something intended or should i contact support? I hope for the later, cause grinding through badsuharu again, in the current meta, well, NOPE.

there is a mod that does exactly that in the Aslain modpack -
So the Worcester with his 1 minute radar, can radar you for the 5% of the match time with 1 consumable. Oh wait, he can get 4 of these. 1 Worcester will radar you for the 20% of the match time. And that is just by 1 ship. Imagine a division of those. Fun and Engaging. Works As Intended.

You v got planes, hydro, heal. You sail broadside, spot 5 torps coming to you at their normal spot distance, you turn in to them and instead of still eating 3 you eat 1 because you whinned long enough and got cruiser-like maneuverability. You can dish out 200k dmg per game and you have the least impact? With all your whinning you managed to get AA buffs everywhere effectivily making cvs unplayable. Wth are you talking about. You are the reason for this fucked up gameplay. And fyi you shouldnt be able to deal with dds mate. dds should be able to deal with you which they cant because of radar-walls + the above. So screw that.

Winning team: 4 first should get 1% of their base xp in points. The rest get 0 or 0.2%. Losing team:3 first dont loose points. The rest loose (base xp of the 2nd player in the winning team) x 20% points and also loose 20 random flags. Remove rewards for reaching each rank and remove irrevocable ranks and lets see how many people wanna really play ranked seriusly. You dont need to reward milestones that can be accomplished by just having enough time and or enough persistence, but you need to punish bad play. -
So, i got the ARP Takao from some Marathon-Something-Thingie more than a year ago. Played it 15 times, got an avg dmg of 15k and stop playing it. I m mostly a dd captain and all my cruisers are at t5. After returning to the game recently and seeing those radar-walls i decided to give it another go. For some reason it worked! 40 to 100k dmg per match, depending on how fast the rest of my team in my flank dies and how bad or good is my positioning. So far, i have been playing it between 11 and 14km distance. I will flank when i get the chance ofc but usually i stay at the aforementioned distances behind the dds, in the open. Will push when needed, will support low pop caps and cap when i can. Always using torps, mostly to scare away the enemy fleet or to deny passage from narrow areas. I am not actively hunting enemy dds, but i will always shoot them when i have the chance, even if i have a broadside bb that i can light up with fires at the same time. Also, trying to focus the radar cruisers so my dds can cap. Not very confident to play island games with other ships yet, since i still havent masted cqc maneuverability. Obviously using AP on broadside target. Yet, i still feel irrelevant. Like i am not contributing enough for a win. Yesterdays example: 8 takao matches, 1 win, 70-something avg dmg, 1,1k avg xp.Always coming top 3. So, what could i do to improve?Tips?Ideas? Any other cruisers that play similar to Takao at Tier 10? Would love to start playing cruisers again now that i got a feel for them and i can perform without giving away games because i suck at them.

As for the kiting, hell i love that! I could go all day troll-harrashing the enemy fleet while kiting them away :D The rest will be put into immediate practice rn! Thank you!

also, try out the direction mod.Not sure if thats the correct name. When enemy ship goes forward it has a green dot above the ship, if backwards its purle, if stopped its red. You can always judge this from the way the smoke of the enemy ship sails, but its still usefull for behind island campers. About the crosshair i used a couple from the mod but in the end i ended up using vanilla static 7 or 8 when on dds and vanilla dynamic on bbs. I have currently switched to the dynamic everywhere.You can try them out for fun and training if you want, nothing bad with that. To see if an enemy ship is turning in or out, assuming he is broadside: -lock target on him (press x if it didnt happen manually) -align the horizontal line of your crosshair to the water line -unlock -observe if the ship moves below or above your horizontal line Another extremely useful mod i use is the side panels that show ship health. Imagine you are in a gunboat dd vs a cruiser and you are trying to cap.You are the last 2 ppl left. His last known position shows him pushing you. Normally i would run away and try to whore some torp damage. But with this mod you know his health.So if for example he is down to 3-4-5k hp and you are full hp, you could set up a trap behind an island, to catch him broadside and AP the frak-outta-his-sorry-[edited]being the hero of the match. I am only using useful mods and not reskins,graphics etc so after each patch i only have to download 100mb and not a couple of gigas as some of my friends. And as many people said before, you can either learn to do all the above by yourself or use the mod to teach yourself or just be lazy like me and depend on the mod since its legal.
