    I am a dd main mate and thats not what i said. I have exploited stealth fire to the best of my ability in both ranked and randoms but i still consider it stupid. Assume 1v1 endgame situation. dd vs bb I could stealth fire him and burn him to death and he cant see me, cant reach me.Why was this ok with every1? No.I was specifically talking about stealth fire.

    I own none of them but i used to division a lot with a lo yang in the past, me in a benson, and since we were always on ts3 we where carrying hard on our random matches. Lo yang is a beast in such setup and i assume its true when they speak about ranked also. To those who dont like lo yang, you gentlemen realise its a benson with hydro and a gun less right?

    Well, technically i didnt do it but its still somewhat fun. Back in the day i grinded 3 alt accounts to tier 6 just to get the bonus money, since i am a pleb without premium. So, 2day a friend got me a code for 1 free american container that could also give a mission for a ship. Got bollocks on my main account but got the KIDD on one of the alts. Fml right?

    So we should not have aim assist for torps that need 2 minutes to reach target but its ok to have it for shells that need 15sec? Or even worse to mark on the minimap where our guns point? Comparing x-marks-the-spot with torp-aim-assist has no logic behind it. x-marks should not exist. Plain and simple. If people wanna shoot in smoke they should spend 20minutes per day in the training room with friends to figure it out. How more are we gonna dumb down this game? And no, i am not a unicum. And yes i do use this mod and at the same time consider it a cheat. And yes, i spent hours in the training room last year to be able to reliably hit in smokes so i could be competitive in clan matches, before cw were even announced. Practically it makes no difference for me. I am a dd captain and i am used getting shot inside my smoke.Know how to avoid it and i believe most of the times i can figure out when som1 who shoots in smoke is doing it with the mod or skill. But in the end of the day, i just dissagree with making the game easier and easier for the masses while shitting every skilled player out there.Constantly.

Or alternatively go on youtube, flamus channel and check his june videos. There should be one with a similar title where you can hear the questions and answers live. Which btw where full of s#1t.

    The only reason dds can get in smoke and spam HE is that their target is -overextended or -alone or in a -bad position or is -turning away when he should be pushing That is not a dd problem. That is a problem of the players.

    Oooooor instead of the requested feature: -Clan commanders or however they are called can donate 1 ship per 6 weeks to a player. -Said player can receive nothing else from this clan or any other clan if he decides to leave and join somewhere else for these 6 weeks. -It should also be capped to 2 to 4 ships donated per account. This solves pretty much everything mentioned before regarding under the table deals etc. But as many before me i disagree. I believe that grinding low tiers is a vital part of the learning experience and if you also sealclub at low tiers to grind money because you play without premium account that will make you a better player. Or a player in another game if you cant handle it Better performance = more xp = more money.

    I will assume you are using a static croshair and you increased your screen resolution from lets say 1680 to 1920. If i am not mistaken you need to retrain yourself how to aim now. An easy way would be to enter training, fill it with moving but not shooting bots, grab something that you are confident you can hit ships in it and train for a while there. Otherwise, if you are using a dynamic croshair and you know max speed of ships and can also figure out their moving speed from their smoke stacks its probably just bad luck. Have you tried reverting back to the old screen analysis just to compare your hit rate %? Meaning in the new screen switch back from 1920 to 1680 and see whats happening playing like that.

    I did not read the whole thread so apologies if i repeat something that has already been said. -Wait till you get on tier 9 on any ship line you favor. Gameplay changes at tier 8 and the differences are massive. -Lean the mechanics of the game (youtube for captains academy wows and although it is not yet complete check out official wows yt channel.It has a "How it works:" playlist) -This is a "player skill" based game and not a "gear/tier based game". On many cases you will be able to rape t10 ships in your t8 if you are good enough and the other guy is a potato. -Personally i do not respect enough this company to give them my money. But if you insist on spending some, you could try out a month of premium account. It will make your grind way much easier. Keep in mind that rushing between tiers is not good if you are new because you dont know the mechanics and the gimmicks of the game. -When you finally decide its time for you to buy a premium ship i would recommend to yt for reviews about it and see if it works for you. Dont fall to the trap where you expect to perform as good as the reviewer. These guys are super unicum players with thousands of battles under their belt and they belong to the top 3% of skilled players. Also sometimes specific offers will pop up in game only for you. That means you could buy an Atlanta premium cruiser for 12euros instead of 44. Or a Sharnhorst (t7 prem bb) for the same price. Most of the things in the market are way way overprices. Welcome aboard

    Its challenging with 2 radars. With more than 3 its boring. You will spend the first half of the match trying to flank in an overextended position where you can actually spot the enemy radar hiding behind the island hoping that your team is smart enough to read chat and shoot that radar ship. Meanwhile you have to be extra careful of enemy dds trying to do the same.This situation will more often than not get both of you spotted.The team with the highest avg iq will shoot the enemy dd. The cripled dd has to be super carefull now.Assuming, from my personal subjective experience, that he is down to 25-50% hp, he has to be super careful now. Meanwhile you might get flamed for not going in to cap from people who totally ignore that you might be against 1 or 2 or 3 radars. If gods bless you and your team kills the enemy dd you are still in danger of getting radared while you try to spot that enemy radar ship. When you finally spot it after 6-10 minutes of the game you need to hope that your team will kill it or push it back. Then after these 10 minutes of passive uninteresting game you start considering of going in to cap. At this time, if the cap is still uncapped, there is a high chance that another enemy dd is coming to cap from another flag. If you are a gunboat dd you might be able to fight him. If not, well good luck. Didnt hear ya mate, can you repeat? Oh you v got trb? Yeeeeaaaaah. I ll inscribe your tombstone with "He got trb instead of smoke". Oh wait! maybe another radar ship decided that he is bored hiding behind an island in the next cap and decided to push in the cap you are trying to go in. Thats 2 radars now.Assuming it was only 1 in the first place. That is the common play style on matches with 4 radars on theother team. As many people said in this and other threads on the subject, one of the consequences is that we will get better dd captains. But all of you forget that: For radar to be effective and effectively countered you need team mates who are at least a bit higher than average. So, currently we are forcing better dd captains to over-perform in a very hard situation (speaking for 3-4 radars on the enemy team) with possibly potato team mates while we blame the mechanic only. Radars need tweaking yes, but also needs this crap mm. I wont even go into the conversation about the average player not knowing all the basic mechanics since that is the 3rd factor of why 3-4 radars per team suck.

    In danger of being repetitive the problem with radar is not the mechanic. It is the way it has been implemented. -9 to 12km radar distance. -Almost up to 60'' duration -Small cap zones -Ships with radar range equal to their surface detection range ( like Cleveland with 9.1km surface detection and 9km radar). -The amount of radars per team -The uneven amount of radars on each team. (!)Radar should exist since dds are too powerfull in the right hands but something needs reworking.(!) -But 9km radar that can lock down for a minute two caps is a pain. I strongly believe that if radar had LoS, wg could leave everything else as is and everything would be balanced. -On several occasions half way through the match i spot a radar ship that had never been spotted in the first 10 minutes and almost get insta killed. Yes radar is there to counter dds, but thats anihilation not countering. -Even if everything stayed as it currently is but radar ships where capped on 2 per team everything would be fine. 2 radar ships per team give equal chances to semi-competent+ players to play properly.And it is actually fun. 4 radars per team is plain cancer. If dds wont go close, cruisers wont easily support. If cruisers wont support because dds dont yolo in, bbs wont support. -When one team has 2 radars vs 1 on the other side things are seriously wrong. The team with 2 radars can be aggressive and lock down almost all caps while the other team can only do that for 1 or 2 caps. 3v2 is not such a big deal. But 4v2 or 4v1 is.Because of the chained radar walls. At some point dd players realize that the general work around is: -Communication: State where you are going to spot. "Gearing will spot West of A, or between A and B". "Will move in once all radars are spotted or sooner if its uncontested". "Please focus radars first and dds after". (mid to end game:) "Benson going to hunt x enemy dd.Got rpf. Turrets towards me please.Confirm." "x radar-ship location any1? Havent seen him in a while". Spam F3 all over the match until you are temporarily-f3-banned -Flanking for the first minutes of the game. It even goes up to 50% of the match. Spotting only and area denial torping. Predict where enemy dds and enemy cruisers will be and keep a safe distance from potential radar locations. -Map awareness Always have an escape route. Always stay close to your cruisers ( ~4km in front of them). Twice every second check minimap for spotted dds, radars and general location of enemy fleet. Someone could argue that this is the normal way a dd should play and i wont disagree with that. But on the case of 3 or 4 radars per team our game-play becomes extremely passive. And that is one of the major reasons people dislike radar when in fact they should dislike uneven and unfair mm.

    I get that the regulars on the forum are annoyed by seeing the same threads over and over again. But for the radar situation i believe that people should keep bringing it up.Yes i am a dd main. And seriusly, there is no need to bash people for not reading the forums 10 times per day like some of us. Burn them to hell if their thread is utterly stupid, but until stupidity is proven show people some respect. Also keep in mind that many people will only go to forums to ask questions or post suggestions and wont regularly monitor the forum. I know i have done it in other games. Wg said no because devoting development time to nerf radar will net them less money. If nerfing radar would bring more money they would have already done it. Also, the part were they said "No we wont change radar" was in the QA right? A QA that never made it to the news page and was transcripted by a player and posted on the forums. if on my last 2 sentences i am mistaken, apologies.

    That is actually a great question! He is close to 30, works 12 hours per day.Says he plays to relax but he cares about winning and gets triggered after a row of losses. Had a crap pc for years where he run wows at 10fps and bought a new one a week ago(his avg 15k dmg on a t6 bb went up to 55k). He does not speak english. At best he understands 10 words. As for the character, he is not stupid, he is funny and many times will surprise us with random knowledge facts or analysis on subjects that he loves. Rl he is the exact opposite of selfish and will always help people around him. The problems that guy creates for us, the more experienced players, comes from his inability to communicate in english. He does not understand text,videos or even his UI. How could he possibly obtain the required knowledge if its restricted from him? And thats an issue wg cannot solve and it should not be their responsibility to solve. Maybe, we as players, on our free time could take the time to translate videos, guides, mechanics in our native languages. But other than that (regarding the potatoes and the language barrier) i dont see what we, as players can do to improve the quality of our matches.

    I did. Although he still yells i citadeled that biatch every time he pens a dd for 5 or 7k. I pretty much explained him everything i knew and he is still very resistant on changing. What worked (although we only did that once yesterday) was going in a div with him and another real life friend on a new for all 3 of us line and playing with comms where i literally micromanage every single move they make.From target calling and angles to ship speed.

    1 overpen 2 citadels

    What i never noticed is that citadels wont appear as "1 hit ribbon" AND "1 citadel ribbon". People replying with "you got 3 hits 2 citadels" when there are only 2 hit ribbons on the top screen made no sense. Uglesett and ks1975 explained it perfectly! Should play bbs more. As for the overload by info : http://www.accessiblegamer.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/08/excel-in-space.png Even these pictures are light compared to how i used to play there! More info meant more chances to survive. Optimizing everything so you could do x-thing 0.1s faster could again save your life. So seeing people complain about my cluttered ui really feels weird since its not even close to being cluttered imho
