  1. They said they will reduce dd armor values to fix that. People at forums replied that, if its done then cruiser ap will wreck dds. Few days ago, som1 said that wg abandonded that plan but i dont have any proof for that.

  3. Its not the best of ideas i agree. But we still have to voice our issues and offer ideas, opinions and/or alternatives in hope of wg doing something. Personally i would limit hydro to max 5km. Lower minimum radar range (t8+) from 9 to 7.5 and lower max radar range from 11.7 to 10. This, allows all dds to still get in torp range and gives them a safe zone at the border of caps for when they wanna play the waiting game. It also gives them enough space to turn around and kite/flee when they spot a radar cruiser instead of getting insta rekted. To counter those nerfs and at the same time increase the importance of proper radar usage i would hard cap dds at 3 per side. Less dds = less potential torps going towards bbs = more chances to win when you spot and kill an enemy dd.

They should have thought things better instead of throwing radars everywhere. 5)No.The current number of cruisers is far from low btw! The request is a valid one.Either that or los radar or less range and duration on radars. The rest problems that come from trying to hard-cap radars per match is not our concern. Wg has been shitting on dds for a long time now and that crap has to stop at some point.
  5. Back to the question at hand, Install WarGaming Game Center (wgc) from the main wargaming page. From this crap, install wot. Play through the tutorial. When done start yoloing with random tanks. Do this 10 times. Uninstall wot Enjoy your premium in wows Uninstall wows
  6. Yes. Personally i would limit them at 3. Including dds and bbs with radar. At the same time i would also restrict dds to 3 per side, since having more than 3 dds defeats the purpose of the dd.

    What sights do you guys use?

    Dynamic. Above 6km 1 tic zoomed out. Bellow 6km full zoom. Used to play with static 7 and some from the aslain modpack but in the end i switched to dynamic and never looked back. The only thing you have to pay attention to, is how fast your bullets go. Based on that you build a "feel" for each ship, so in the end you never calculate but just shoot. If you are shooting ships in weird angles, or angles you are uncomfortable with, just shoot only 1 gun and not your whole salvo. After shooting your first gun, adjust accordingly and shoot the rest.   9. Now, with the increase of radar ships per match i think its more important than ever to have separate icons for each thing that spots you. At the same time you could have icons on the screen for being spotted by: 1)Plane 2)Radar 3)hydro 4)Los/proximity The problem comes from people, including me, not being able to accuratelly track many radar/hydro timers at the same time and radar icon being replaced by the normal spotted icon without apparent reason. Something that leads us believing that radar/hydro run out, while in fact it hasnt. Especially for dd captains i consider this a major "Quality Of Life" improvement and a "must have".

    But, as i said, its not only about the durations. Its also about icons replacing each other preventing us from having correct information. When, in a dd, you are hard spotted, you either know if its another dd with lower surface detectability range or its a ship that you also spot at the same time. When, in a dd, you are plane spotted, you can see it flying above you and on the minimap. But when you are radar/hydro spotted,especially by 2 different (or more) ships (lets say an unspotted moskva and a Z running hydro) then when the radar spot icon gets replaced by the hard spotted icon you might get rekt because you cant keep track of every radar timer + ships shooting at you from far + ships ships shooting at you close range + actively avoiding + running to cover + trying not to pull a notser + shooting back + calculating if and when is the best time to pull a smoke. Having all icons there would help a lot. And really, showing some love towards dds from wgs side instead of constantly shitting them would be great! As for the screen clutter: Imagine a triangle 50% larger than the currect spotted icon. Imagine that triangle divided in 3. The outline of the triangle is yellow. Top 3rd is a red ship aka hard spotted Bottom left 3rd, is a yellow plane aka plane spotted Bottom right 3rd, is a blue radar aka radar spotted. By increasing the size of 1 icon 50% (or even 100%) you can fit 2 more icons in that space. Coloring the 3rds of the triangle makes it way easier for people to see whats happening there while at the same time solving the screen clutter issue. Which in my opinion, is not an issue at all.

    Thats exactly my point! Assume, as a dd captain, you are heading inside a cap that has no cover. At 7km away a wild moine appears and pops radar. "Spotted by Radar" icon pops up. Untill you get to cover, while actively avoiding, you also shoot. And thats when the "normal vision spotted" icon pops up and replaces the radar one. It should be the other way around. "Spotted by Radar" icon should never get replaced by "normal vision" icon. Which one? I have only used aslain. I believe you are correct about differentiating between hydro and radar but costs nothing to ask for it! Besides that, the main request is to see all icons simultaneously and not randomly having one overlap the others!

    Radars ruining game

    From my experience its not because of radar divisions. Its because wg is too lazy to fix their sh1t. DDs should be capped at 3 per side and radars(including radar dds and bbs) should be capped at maximum 3.Preferably at 2. More than 3 dds defeats the purpose of a dd. Which is to scout, cap and deny area among many other things. More than 3 radars doesnt just counter dds, it anihilates them. And how wouldnt, since the dds can no longer contest, knife fight and, equally important, on many cases not even get in range for torps? Although git gud is a semi valid arguement for dd captains, you can git gud up to a certain point.Not every1 is a unicum and most importantly not every1 is willing to become one. (And as som1 said in another thread "For every unicum out there, there is a sub 40% wr player"). The next most used argument is to communicate with your team to focus the radar ship. Please dont.We are talking randoms here and communication in randoms is something that rarelly happens no matter how hard you try. During a match with 5 or 6 radars a couple of weeks ago me: Please primary focus radars whenever you can land shells and then secondary focus dds.Will flank east of C and spot for now. team mate:Oh pretty much everything then team mate2:and battleships team mate3:and planes team mate4:and the cv, dont forget the cv guys It made me laugh at the start, i cried at the end. Radar is not problematic per se, the amount of it and the uneven mm is.

  17. First of all. How the hell can you react on the thread as bad? It intends to make everyones life easier when we are on matches where people load slow. On many cases that slow-loader could be a cv, and if he loads 2 minutes late we can all imagine whats going to happen there. Or on 2 dd per side matches, if 1 dd enters game 1 minute late the consequences of that delay might cost the match to his team. So, as a friendly request, think before acting. Back to the topic. I agree that it would be great if there was a mechanic where it would delay the match for lets say 90 seconds if som1 hasnt loaded yet. From my experience as an observer it takes 1 to 2 minutes for most people with crap computers to load up. We could even ignore cruisers and battleships from this mechanic and focus only on cvs and dds. As a side improvement, on side panels, player that are connected but not loaded yet and players that are offline could appear with different colors. Knowing who is there and who is not affects our in game decisions. Same goes for people who disconnect in the middle of a match, because of connectivity issues, power surges or even rage quits.

    My fault i guess. What i meant was that its stupid that dds can shoot from max range in open seas and not be visible to the ship they are shooting. Agreed Technically true.But in my experience and if i recall correctly the times i got blapped by a bb at those ranges 1v1 were not that many.Meanwhile, the times i blapped a bb 1v1 without smoke are more. Agreed.But i wasnt talking about fire chance here.I just said that in the end it doesnt really matter because of the rof.I am taking into consideration smokes here btw. Missunderstood what you meant. That has happened so few times when i am driving a dd that i forgot about it hah.Again technically true, but statistically, from my experience, rngessus and the Dispeusually bless me. Is it just me or are we derailing the thread a bit?

    I agree with that. I was up to the point where i didnt even wanna log in on the second week. Its not because of the requirements.These are perfect for the average+ player. Its because of the fakfest that follows the missions.

    Apologies but i fail to understand how it is a logical conclusion to nerf bb and ca/cl range down to dd range because, imho, dd stealth firing is stupid. I am talking about open seas and direct los between the 2 ships only. Wasnt the solution to stealth-firing, giving dds higher surface detection when shooting guns? Valid points on your second paragraph.But: -It is true that a bb can potentially blap me with 2 shots, but at distances between 10-12km there are tricks that lower that chance a lot. I know i had, if i recall correctly, 4-5 wasd-hack tricks that allowed me to stay alive 90% of the times. Also true that dds do very little damage (mostly on saturated targets) and cause far less fires than cruisers but because of their rof, especially on gunboat dds, that does not really matter imo. At the current meta, i dont see many battleships shooting HE at dds. And why should they if they can pen an angled dd with AP for 5 to 7k dmg with just 1 shell. Ironically, the way to counter this is to be broadside at bbs instead of showing minimal part of your ship dd by being angled.

    1)BB cry babies should learn to position themselves better.Island hugging is a player issue, not game issue. If they keep getting burned they should figure out what they are doing wrong. 2)One-shootting angled cruisers and getting bow on citadels on cruisers doesnt leave them with many choices does it? I remember how the game was more than a year ago with 95% of matches consisting of 5dds,4+ bbs and only 2-3 cruisers.

    But this is not the starting point. Its just the latest entry in a series of dumbing-the-game-down-mechanics-and-changes. As i said, it makes no difference for me.I consider it cheat, since it provides information you cannot have any other way, but not OP. These are 2 seperate things imo.
