Now this is intriguing. How to do this?

Certainly it is so, as the requirements would make you complete several tech trees.

    0.6.9 YAMAMOTO CAMPAIGN

That is true and it is proably more useful on a DD, but IJN are no gunboats, perhaps on Akizuki then. But on the other hand would you take away your SI and hope for a on average 1/24 free SI? Agree that they might be useful but it is less so than we think. I have seldom sunk because of no heals left. Kraken , might be useful for the exceptional player but for the average player not so much, the number of Krakens that I personally have won on T8 and above are very few. If you not set Mr Yamamoto on Kongo, Fuso or a ship in a tierbracket when Kraken at least might happen, and on a ship that could be fun having it on, if you have Mutsu and Ishi also as premiums it can be really fun!
  3. Not quite true as Texas still lives, which after all is a WW1 ship. On Goeben: I have read that some efforts were made to save her as a museum ship but they were unsuccesful.
  4. Not that the result is spectacular for seasoned players but when you are in a Z23 uptiered to T10 and then manages witherer and liquidator I am happy considering my at best average standard in DDs (But learning, far better now than some half year ago when I started to play DDs more seriously. Shows also how much RNG luck you need to have with only 3 torp hits (on three diff ships). Zao and Yamato was caught just after their repair and 1 torp each made them flood. The luck was for me that they were not focus fired afterwards as often is the case. So the flooding added up. I must say I really like the Z23.
  5. OP: The answer is simply BUY!! I bought it the first day, and I am very happy so far -sure some games are poor just like in any DD. I like the torps and the good concealment. The extra containers it brings in the Dunk mission is a nice bonus.

How is your Dunkirk Collection going on?

No but think of how you value the flags you get with the Gallant missions. And if you want to try Gallant in ranked you have your best chance now, with supercaptains on loan. So if you are going to buy it anyway sooner the better, unless you waiting for some discount but that would be long in the future.

What rating site are you using?

use your stats wisely, they can easily be manipulated. Solo play is different from division. If you look at individual ships the importance of good captains, flags, premium. consumabels, camos fully upgraded increases a lot. Both WTR and WOWS have limitation as Win rate matters too little, capping is worth nothing. If you look at some players they might have high average damage but lower realtively win rate, they are not playing for the team. If you look at players look at their results across the board not if they just playing a few ships. So it is when you look at individual ships also important to have a decent number not 10-15 but better at least 50 even better 100. If you are a collector type your stats will suffer somewhat, as you change ships every game or two (for first win bonus etc).

    My first Super-Container since update

No , I think that Dragon Flags which I have recieved a few times 50 +100 and 1000 doubloons are perfectly acceptable. Yes I long for a ship but there are useful flags out there, especially the new high end ones, which if I understand it correct can be find. ONly SC after update was a fantastic upgrade (well the speed module I accept gladly), so we will see if other things turn up. I will not naturally jump with joy but crap is too harsch. The one thing I dread is when it finally become a premium it is the Krazny Krim of course, not Kutuzov, Kaga, Grem or something that I want.

    Be honest (Stats)

Not before game, I check the line up on DDs if I see that they may play without CE or high level captain, especially if I play DD myself. After the game I may check if I have been unjustifiably harschly accused of bad play, if I have played bad I just ignore it and end that particular game. But I seldom check - maybe if I find some random player that I work with good during the game , I often check his stats before I write an ingame message. For useless players seldom but can happen once a month or so, but at lower tiers where you know a CV player might be new or expert I usually just starts a new game. As some other posts have written, It may be detriment to your play if the stats will make you throw in the towel beforehand. I think the impact is more negatve than positive if you f.e. see that your stats are better. I usually check my own stats now and then, and write them down with long intervals to see if there is improvement especially in newer ships, that may not be fully equipped or having a less than stellar captain. I will never refrain from smoking up a player that seems to need it. To calculate if that player deserves it or not just brings in another moment, even if the player might be bad his salvos might find the right RNG and he is ship points if the game is close, he is a target at least.

  14. Remember that, I had enemys in front at C Cap so I was easily outflanked. Got tunnelvisioned and was not paying attention enough, a job that was not easier that I showed a friend the game at the same time. Acrtually I told my friend that when Jethro_Grey showed up in the line-up that this was going to be difficult and it was correct. Better today when I met Jethro_Grey again, this time on my team, in domination mode Land of Fire, and he had a very good Kraken game 2241 XP and was top of our leaderboard. Helped him a tiny bit with a few strategic torp hits on Akizuki, Edinburgh and Bismarck which helped him sinked the ships in his Kutuzov. He stayed almost the entire game in B cap in center and I circled around the area but wider also the whole game. Managed to place myself third but well behind in my Z23 with 1546 XP, no sinkings sadly. Easy victory for our team, 9 vs 3 remaining when the game ended..

    Limit players in ranked

Problem can be when you DDs are sunk and the enemy has one or even worse two left even if you have a cruiser in exchange you will play more cautious for a while at least. So it is sometimes natural also, that does not mean 20 km but you would be careful to push against Fubukis and Shinomones that you also know will try to torp you and have you in constant vision.

    Operation Dynamo. The issues

Have only played once with two star victory but sure I will return, with 1 afk ship it was perhaps not so bad. I wish some whiners can have a little tolerance that one needs to train a few games to fight the schnellboote, And I find it easy to just get lost in where you were the ships were so dense so it was diificult to see where you were. I took the back seat (rear) and tried to defend from attacks from behind. Were sunk. Need to play more to adjust and learn, used Anthony. The youtube guides gave help but you can only prepare to a certain point.

Can not say I play my Arizona at max range I have often defended our cap while several of the fast ships just abandon me not realizing if they want support they need to adjust. Az is good in defending and pushing at her tempo but can not regroup easily. I play her because of her guns which I like, the alternative would probably have been Warspite. I have seen Fusos at max range too, there have been further away thanks to their longer range so I do not think that there is a significant difference of long range sniping between different BBs.

Simply because they play for the Dunk camo (mission), using Dunk in ranked to get double effect. I would never use my Dunk in ranked, but a well played Dunk can be irritating.

    Limit players in ranked

Nevertheless ranked is the solo competetive mode and you after all have stages and irrevocable rank. It is not easy for completely idiots to rise the ranks sure there is always examples but many are not persistent enough. So far I am playing most Arizona hovering around 50 % with same ship I have around 60% in random. I am at R11 currently, lowest is 10. I have saved my star several times but find the lack of speed a few times has cost me the game. While at say 15-18 (I started there) and worse there are several stock ships and so on I think around 10 it has been considerably less. If you whiners are that good you would not remain with us plebs with only 50-60 % in our random ships. I simply say that the whining sometimes get out of proportion. Even if it feels nice to write off the frustration that I agree with, and have sympathy for. First of all to judge a player (if it is not really a pure catastrophic thing) one must follow the player over several games in a row the whole game. Most average players do mistakes (objectively) now and then, some times we carry hard to no avail. Remember a session a few days ago when I had 4 high calibers out of 6 games and won 1, next session I have zero and won 2 out of 3. However if the player performs on a consistent level he will advance. What irritates me is when a game is on the verge if defeat but not quite people tends to save the star instead of doing a move that might save the day. However if the star thing would not exist it would be few that advanced in rank. You will never have a perfect system it is a f2P game with P4C (pay 4 convenience) so they will never implement a system much departed from today, most player will be able to participate. Clan battles and those enthusiast driven fights perhaps in other forms are the future for the demanding player. Ranked should be open for all. You will not advance if you are not good enough and the persistent lunatics are not so many at higher levels.

    British Destroyers and more Events

I remember a thriller , may have been from the 70´s that in swedish was called London tillhör oss - London belongs to us may have been written by L Deighton or some other reasonable well known writer at that time. It was London after Nazi invasion and a murder investigation, some growing resistance etc.

    Requesting help for Dunkerque

Well at first I bought her as a French oddity last year so I trained up 1 cpt to 12 p in new system but now with the arrival of French cruisers I have used her for training. Therefor my (goal) set up PT-EM-DI-CE-AFT is geared for my future Henri IV. And before that LS instead of EM for Charles Martel at T8, T9 i got from mission. And I will after that start a new captain aiming for French BBs rather than Dunk itself. De Grasse I would train future DD captains on.

Strange things that happen on rank

It is not .- more boring would be if every season would be the same - I have written a similar response in another thread but for me new tiers forces you to adapt with different METAS - different ships and that not only gives variation but also develop you as a player. And a good player should perform with any tier not just the f.e. T7 in a Belfast. You should not be able train your captain in a specific ship in a specific tier and use it every season. For me any tier between 4-8 is OK, even though some are better than others. Personally as it is more a grind ranked every season gets bored after a while. I do not have the endurance to play too many ranked games.

Operation Dynamo Collection - How to get?

I can think that it is fair to those players that can play most days a few games but not the massive 6-8 hours grinding in some missions that you have a campaign that caters to them. But it is not that difficult if you can play on the weekends, when there is a extra container/day. I have the Gallant also so for me it is already 12/16. So for me on vacation the rest of the campaign it should be easy if not the computer breaks down or similar. So for players that have a 1 hour or so it is good to buy Gallant - you can then get the Gallant container and the normal daily XP with same ship -efficient. The earlier you buy her the better , if you put value in the flag. Moneygrab - perhaps but I would have bought the Gallant regardless, now I did it directly - a RN midtier premium DD is a must have for me. I can agree with that the task campaign in Bismarck was very good. I hope for more in the future but I am not at all disappointed - you can play as normal and get the containers.

    British Destroyers and more Events

Such alternate discussions are interesting and I have seen some of them, but the question is would the mass distribution of troops etc have been ready that far earlier that some in these discussions have stated - that is not as clear. Likewise what would happened in WW2 if some of Stalins peacefeelers have been accepted, I have heard rhem being discussed but never seen any substantial info on what they were based upon? But it is always fascinating these What if- stories, not only in WW2 but on other things in history - if that assasination attempt have failed/succeded etc.

    Dunkerque below 8km

Well I agree with you that she is inconsistent, some games it feels hopeless, some games everything goes. I think target selection is extremely important. I rebought it for doubloons as I bought the ship last year, got those 30 + 3x missions + gold at 50% and now as you playing for the camo. I played a game with 3 Dunks/side that was an odd feeling, perhaps many on EU that took advantage of the 50% sale. Then we at least are in the same situation. I think that she is alright even good when top tier, but scales worse with uptiering. I have much more consistent games dmg/performance wise in Warspite/Arizona/New Mexico but there are some games where the speed is important. Somehow I one game managed to get 197 K in her when the stars really aligned, but I have games where the results on broadside ships have been hopeless. With her 8 guns forward with 1.7 sigma and her spread it can pay off against DDs. You usually get hits on faitly distant ships, so even if you do not sink them, you help your team. I think Dunkerque is a ship I return to from time to time and now with the French cruisers (building up my future Henri IV captain to 14 pts is my goal) and even more with this campaign (3x for victory) + the camo it is really an incentive to play her a lot and endure some poor games and some good. Ranked with Dunk? Never! not even if I had a 19 p captain.
