+1 regarding WG's Graf Zep response, but is iCloud being reinstated?
Gnirf replied to g1g5's topic in General Discussion
Average performace is 50% by default! And I have not seen any report on what feedback the various supertesters at different levels have given WOWS and how they would have influenced the released ships. Have you? -
Do you use all premium consumables? Do you have all high tier ships, they cost a lot. I spended nearly 400 Million the last 4 months on new ships alone in higher tiers. Yes they seem to accumulate. You can abstain from premium account a few months and then your silver will shrink if yopu play at higher tiers with prem conumables.

You do not sell Lamborghinis you sell pixelships targeted to a wide audience. What makes you think you are better to judge a ships performance if u have 200 battles with 59% and I have 55%. It is a lot of other factors, how do you inteprete your performance in a say a T9 RN BB vs a T4 RN BB vs its competition (existing ships). How can you communicate your results, how consistent are your results vs mine and so on. Lamborghinis are not targetting the average Joe. WOWs are targeting a wide number of players. Your analogy is flawed.Edited but I answer seriously anyway because you are so narrowminded that it is incredible. This post has been edited by the moderation team due to inappropriate remarks. -

I edited and lenghtened my post somewhat. No I do not want eveyone to test but it is not only unicum status that is important, experience on a broad scale etc -

Are u even serious with your posts? You are given that kind of statements everywhere. If a ship is fine with unicums it says nothing about how the general playerbase will handle it both useless , good players or unicum. A ship is like a car in the testing phase should be used by all kind of players -. the important thing is to be able to follow some sort of testing program and how to communicate and give adequate feedback. Sure we can say a review by Flamu is more worth than that of a average player (name xx), but I think also that if he says that a ship is mediocre and shows a game of 167000 dmg it says quite little if the server average is 50000, if the ship is underperforming, which is after all the server damage often divided into player stratas and taken into account skill ceiling, spreads etc. You can be a unicum player statwise. I am average player I have 180 ships, I have played between 0-1600 games in each one of them, I think I am pretty well able to give an average players view on many ships since I have played and grinded every ship (with little freexping apart from Bhulls and that stuff) in every non CV line to T9 and 10 (8 in Akizuki case). I am quite consistent in my performance broadly speaking. IMO it gives me (or similar player that are not unicum) some experience in how to judge a ship over a unicum player that is more of a gamer type and are less broad in his approach and have jumped(freeXped) over the lower/mid tier ships. It is also important the consistency of player and experience. And how the ship performs in the hands of various player stratas. What I can agree with you is the bad average player with limited experience, but the unicum player with limited wide experience and narrow minded (unicum) perspective is equally useless. PS I will never be a tester or reviewer but it is more a argument against your view that only unicums should be allowed to test. -
Spotting aircraft mod and radar mod , radar may be of use but spotting not.

Well Branchez - Arizona is a New Mexico with more accurate guns far better and slightly worse reload. If you like NM you will love Arizona so it is easy to know if u like her. She is slow as hell though. Mutsus is a Nagato nerfed to T6 in an older shape worse AA f.e. and I think she is more unforgiving to play. Her protection is not her strong suite.
-
Hello and welcome to the forum for advice Warspite and Arizona are good value for money in my opinion. I know that you play IJN BBs also but I am not so keen to recommend Mutsu to a new player, Your US cruisers have no outstanding premiums, you have Atlanta which is very special and Indianapolis which is no outstanding ship. Arizona is very easy to get decent results in constantly for a player that like you are familiar with the US BBs incl New Mexico at same tier. I like Ishizuchi but she was on offer recently, she is useful for training both IJN crusiers and Battleships not optimized but she is cheap at T4. I think that the prizes are increasing to much in the higeher tiers. But they are more useful to more experienced players. Ships like Atago, Scharnghorst are fun ships to play but a little too soon for you. But it is also different to buy when there is an offer and to play it. If you plan climbing up the German BBs where you are at T4 it is a fine ship. Your broad approach is excellent but try to match your first premiums with the lines you play/grind. Considering your situation I would buy the Arizona if you buy 1 ship as you have stated your priority list. I have it and played it many times but I have a huge number of premiums and have almost all current lines at T9/10 except the CVs. I can tell you my first premium was the Atago which I bought early (too early) in my career. On the other hand there were not many premiums at that time and I was not informed at a time. That made me pay rather much for a ship at a tier I were not capable of performing acceptable in.

Seems like a good decision. Have fun!

I recieved Anshan and LoYang in the Santas boxes. So far 75 games in Anshan 8 games in LoYang. I simply like the combination of RU playstyle and 8 km torps which the RU DDs dont have at T6. Decent stealth also. I prefer T6 training boat as the first in a tree over T8 because I want to be able to train low end captains on it. Now You recieved 10p captains with the Santas boxes but when I buy trainers for other trees and use captains I prefer when I have several premiums I play/train the lower end captains in the low/mid tier premiums and the high end 10+ in T8 if I can help it. The captain eliteXP has now helped me to start every T8+ captain with 10points but your situation may be different. If we talking playstyle and LoYangs hydro which is beneficial I rather play the German DDs so that quirk I am not so interested in. But it depends on what you like.

In the summersales I got a lot of cheap doubloon and like AgarwaenME suggested above I bought several T10 prem camos, very useful. FreeXp are used to unlock B-hulls etc on say T8 or above. Up to T7 I find it excessive, as I want to husband FreeXPs for ships like Nelson or other future ships. Up to T7 I find it rather quick to unlock the upgraded hulls etc with camos and first wins, ESCL. Some pain is in the game to endure

Many ships with clean bottoms did better results on trial, if I remember correctly Yamato crossed the 28 kts mark, Shimakaze around 41 kts. So your case can be brought too many ships. If there is any large problem it is the Russian bias with the many paperdesigns with ultra high speeds.
-
I spent lots of EURos and got lots of premcamos etc and a few other ships, Tirpitz, Lo Yang Anshan so you did recieve some goods, Grem I could not find in the boxes however. If there is a new Santas thingI might take a few but this time small amounts, not so much to grind left so the camos are not needed in huge numbers.
-
Absolutely, also got her in the Santas like another player here. As Kongo makes 30 kts it is unacceptable that Nikolai is slower 30 kts, and AA naturally. Reload 25 sec like that burning monster Ishizuchi. Turret travere buff. Buffs in plenty are needed for this UP ship.

Enhance in harbour Use the snipping tool, and convert it to Jpeg /A
-
Well I could live without Krazny but if she would cost 50% I might be tempted just for the collection
-
Not surprisingly considered that it is the interested experienced players that are probably the majority.
-
Belfast I have bought twice , first day and then summer sale, König Albert first day, Saipan during summer sale, Kaga still to buy might feel tempted now with 30% with doubloons from summer sales. Kutuzov? If we consider the more serious bids in the thread.

Like I answered to Mr P2Win, You do not accept that all players are not gamers they are collectors and Warship enthusiasts and do not see T10 as the ultimate goal they see f.e. in The RN line ships to play for me a new T3 Bellerophon is one ship which interests me just as much as the T5 or T7 and more than the fantasy ships at T8-10. But relax I play at T10 also, even though I have reached those tiers more or less at the same time except for a few older aquisitions. I will play every RN ship, do not care about your remarks, they are fitting for a gamer but I am not part of that player strata.

You are not seeing the fact that people interested in warships may like the lower tiers. I play high tiers too. But if I want to play a early Battelship like Nassau or a vintage WW1 cruiser it is in lower tiers. I see your point from a gamers perspective. I wrote to Warships podcast to one who said that he freexped the whole French cruiser line at least lower to midtiers. But the new RN line I will play all the tiers even though I have/will solve the missions that unlocks up to T5. For me it is the real ships fron T3-7+ Nelson that is main focus. I see your perspective somewhat narrowminded. I respect your own take on the game, but you can not ignore other players perspective. We do not discuss a certain ships qualities here, where performance matters. We are talking about different players motivation and in that case your statement is simply incorrect. It is a fact that if you want to play older ships you have to play lower tiers. I am a warship enthusiast first gaming is second. That is why I have 180 ships in my port including the various ARP ships. I play naturally not all but I want be able to play all of them, returning from time to time (not ARP). They all have their captain, leaving me with only two 19p captains after 13000 battles but I am improving , I have 90-100 at 10 p or above. My goal is to have at least 10 p in all ships from T4 up. That this will lead to some sealclubbing is a sideeffect.

Sealclubber: I love playing with my Chikuma at T2 with 19 p captain - 89K is my record which is fairly OK for a ship with no Alpha potential like the DDs. Bogatyr at T3 (only 18 p captain) 7-8 times over 100 K but there I know there are several players with better results. Bogatyr is a ship that can deliver good results many times not in a single luck game. But Bogatyr has been indirectly nerfed as the BBs and St Louis (common opponents) have got their range increased - I have noticed that it is harder to reach outstanding results lately. But all these damage over time ships are due to good RNG with the teams - you need bad teams on both sides to get so good results. You can get Krakens and so on, but you need to burn BBs over long time to get the outstanding damage records and that the rest of the team are enough incompetent to not sink the various enemy ships too fast. Do not feel dirty at all. Well a little sometimes, I use them as warm up ships. I seldom start in my higher tier ships, I want a relaxed win to come into good play mode. Kamikaze (which I have) is a little more dirty as the seals can not fight back in the same way, if you open fire in your cruisers you do not do in stealth. But I am better in those cruisers than in Kami.

Sure there may be players that are useless but statistically these pressaccounts are limited. And the visitors at Gamescom - how do we know that they are all new. I have not been at such a fair and will probably never be but if I somehow would go there - as WOWs is the only game I play and they advertised - Please try our not released RN BBs - well I would do it. I am not saying that you are wrong - I just want to know the reference to that all players are new - which for me is illogical compared with other fairs. If I go to a fair (and I have been to some fairs in my profession) I am hardly a uninformed ignorant incompetent newcomer in all stands.
