Well I have played Chapayev over 50 games the last two weeks so you may have encountered me, most of the games have at least 1 russian..
-
If you suffer so much in Hipper why even consider buying Prinz Eugen , an expensive sistership?
-
The question is not what you have on a exceptional game with 90-100 K dmg but for the serveraverage which will not be dramatically higher than Fubuki? You can at least not count with that kind of figures for a T6 DD, as average.
-
Well you must hope for a simliar book as Lacroix/Wells on japanese cruisers. In Lengerer/Ahlbergs book on Yamato they hint of books on the earlier battleships at least.

Some classes have been articles about in Warships the yearly annual: Akizuki class Warships 1993 p 143-166 Hatsuharu class Warships 2007 p 91-110 Asashio class 2016 p 42-61 Maybe some more exists In these annuals there are lot of IJN articles of various ship classes, also in the quarterly Warship 1-49 which preceeded tha annuals. Hans Lengerer the author/co-author In Warships International they might be articles also, likewise in the Lengerer/Ahlberg Contribution to IJN or something like that but I do not have any of these If you look on wikipedia you might find sources there. I suppose that there might be lots of literature in japanese which might at least give you illustrations and drawings. There exist short run books also from Poland? with duo language on various naval ships, if they have on your wishlist I do not know

Tre Kronor Swedish light cruiser fast reload 33 kts, good turret armour sides less good, unit principle machinery/boilers I am after the German DDs almost demanding RN BBs so a lot of wishes above will come true then. For some reason the French DDs comes to mind, the fast Le Fantasque and Mogador and their predecessors with 4 funnels, very fast, slow rate of fire but heavy hitting guns and good torpedoes. Especially Le Fantasque is a Beauty. It is perhaps not the first! line in mind but I would like to see some odd shipps like Tegetthoff 4x3 12 inch Austria Hungary, prem T3 Borodino BC is probably bigger chance, The German and British battlecruiser. And the Lexington as BC 10-14 7! funnels 35 knots paperarmour, just for fun!! The version that was actually started more normal with 2 funnels 33 kts 8-16 is quite handsome the early design just so odd!!

OP I am just speculating, but can it be that you may be better in the damage part of the game than the strategic parts? I do not know anything on how you play but I sometimes see players that are more concerned for damagenumbers than winning. It is probably so that certain tactics are better for harvesting damage (i.e. defensive play and much damage late in game). Many of my highest numbers have come in games when I have won or lost narrowly (long games). Battleship are a class prone to this. I have some ships in higher tiers whose win rate stats has risen a lot lately after I have trained up the captains (start them all from scratch i.e. 3 lvl for 25 gold). I am still looking for CE in my DDs. Example : Chapayev 48 games=22 wins 45,83% wins After 102 Games 57 wins = 55,88 % On those latest 54 games it is 35 wins =64,81% All solo play, this latest line is for me far too good but it gives some indication how frequent play, better captains goes hand in hand with improved results (yes DE now, which gave me my first Witherer in all my play). Other ships I suck in still, I am far better with Chapayev than the other cruisers so maybe you should try another ship or that you may have to adjust tactics in your ships more to different ships? I have written down my results for my ships a few times to see if I improve and especially when the ships are fully kitted and with a at least 10 p captains so the statistics under the grinding and stock period can be removed for my self. I must say the honorable Campaign which are T8+ have made me more comfortable with these tiers. I still make silly mistakes but now I feel that I at least sometimes can perhaps not carry the team but contribute a lot (top 1-3 on list). Just speculating, no offence meant

I compliment far more than report. If I look at my service record the karma number which is around 50+ indicates as far as I understand positive compliments - reports. But I Ihink I have only seen that you have been complimented once or maybe twice after the battle and reported also a few times. But my own activities as the OP says always results in message after the game. Noticed that karma number a while a go so it would have been a lot of positive and negative flow of reports. but as I wrote not seen them much.

Well I as a Nerd I put every draw in an Excelsheet with all outcomes. 166 Container TYL 162 times 10 SC 2x20 000 000 1x10 000 000 2x5 000 000 250 Sierra Mike (thank you) 2x250 India X-ray 250 Indian Delta 250 DC II Of the 152 Non-supers 125x5 flags, 14x Camos various types, 9x small credits 4x Free XP. Well after the patch it was a long period of almost none 1 in 87 but the latest 39 has brought me 4 so I am a little sceptical about SC if they not have readjusted it again. Credits is not my problem but I see f.e. 5 000 000 as 222 premium camo/consumables so if one compares 5 000 000 to a 100 000 it is 50 times more. And the odd chance for a strange premium is there albeit small - it is fun at least to gamble a little. And those 5 flags? I use flags, even if many are less useful, Sierra Mike f.e. I am very happy for every time I recieve them.

south dakota-class Battleship alabama is coming
Gnirf replied to Reisen__'s topic in General Discussion
Better with Ise with her 6x2 guns in better layout than Fuso/Yamshiro, Middle two turrets is a Group. Or the proposals from f.e. Fujimoto/Hiraga in tier 7/8 with 10-16 depending on how they are buffed/nerfed. More different. Otherwise I agree with you. -
Interesting guide tmGrunty I bought the Yugumo yesterday and being a collector I do not transfer captains, I am below average but think I am improving, some of this has been that I play DDs too seldom, but I like the IJN DDs even if the gamesituation some times is hopeless when you have to confront gunboat DDs. Now to my questions to you: I have both in Kagero and Yugumo played with the torp booster instead of smoke; have you experimented a lot with that alternative and the influence on tactic/gameplay? I use the premium variant of the booster. I admit that I use this as a am not confident in utilizing smoke smartly so I want input not only for your style of play. Regardless of my skill you can count me as a player that is better (or less worse) with torps than smoke. I have done as you say and does not intend to put F3 Torps Before CE if I ever reach there, have bought the prem camo so skill is increasing at least to 4 lvl soon. How should one reason with the lvl 4 skill, you take SI, you find AFT very seldom useful? DE alike or what is your reasoning? Can any specific META or playstyle make the choice different? Do you use HE exclusively?

ARP Nachi - need more players in Russian Ships
Gnirf replied to RokinRon's topic in General Discussion
Like everyone else I am in the hopeless struggle for Nachi 8 kills so far, the rest is solved. As OP asks for I am most of the days playing my part in the Chapayev and since two days also the Dimitri Donskoi at least a few games, both in solidarity and for the hope I kill a Russian ship myself. I can only agree with Likatare : Hey Nachiowners- Leave us Russianships alone (Pink Floyd inspired) -
When you play the game for a while and start to compare yourself on various sites remember that more skilled captains and use of premium consumables f.e. repair will help your ship stay in battle longer and will increase your damage. F.e. for Battleships the level 3 skill superintendent (also RN cruisers from T3 others from T9 (Atago T8) gives you an extra heal, and that will help you a lot so captain management is also smart. Vary yourself in the beginning with different classes/ ships/tiers but the really good statistics you will get with a specialized high skilled captain f.e. the lvl 5 skill CE for Destroyers, and concentrated play. I reach far better results in destroyers when I play them more frequently instead of occasionaly a few games. But that is when you reached maybe 1000-1500 games. You should reach T5-6 fairly comfortable in most classes/trees. I think that it is good when you reach higher tiers to have at least 1 representative in each of the Destroyers/cruisers and Battleships at roughly similar level so you know your opponents. Personally I have at least 1 representative in cruisers, destroyers at T9 and battleships at T10. So it helps me, but I am not planning for T10 in all nations, CVs I do not play.

Why skip Shiratsuyu? LWMs Review indicated she is fun Torp booster and smoke at T7
-
Play DD then you might do it, If I remember correctly I did it in Kamikaze R tier 5 But as others have stated it seems you do not need every mission to climb just enough pins. After some problems in the early stages I got informed that I just need enough pins (do no have repeated though) so I am now at lvl 9 in the beginner Campaign- the tier 8 + I do later If I miss some smaller missions I do them later for the rewards I try to take the grinding missions as one of the slots and then two fairly easy. When the grinding missions like 20000 XP are over for the time being I take one that is an achievement or kill a CV or something that is more MM related. I change and have a paper where all remaining missions on lower levels are to see the mest combinations for a given ship so I change a lot. Mostly it is the CV related missions that I leave. Achievements are more difficult. Arsonist, Dreadnought, High Caliber I have several just not when these missions were in the 3 slots......so timing is crucial. Overall a fun addition
-
Ditto: It does not state that they must be recieved in the same battle if that might be a hindrance. Must be wrong programming? Have they programmed wrong tier or any other thing? Other missions have worked so far.
-
So to get the Shinomone you only have to advance to the highest level not doing all submissions? Because the final mission for a step indicates that all missions should be done? Think this is very unclerly stated but if it is not necessary to do everything it seems doable, do not play Cvs my feeble attempts in T4 Hosho Langley has been catastrophic.

shore attack - where? when? is it even in the game yet?
Gnirf replied to Martin_D_Roberts's topic in Newcomers' Section
When you reach there it is important to know that first they are neutral=does not fire in cap zones similar to domination so it is important to cap the zones to make them shoot at the enemy. Never fire at White forts or radars only on reds. It is important to know I have seen newbies on this map fire at White forts. So they might help you a lot if you cap them vs the enemy. If the red team gets the majority you are in for a uphill struggle. -
To OP and welcome to WOWs Ishizuchi is a great firestarter, I use HE almost only in her but almost AP on all other BBs. Thank your friend, Ishi is one of my most played ships. With both Texas and Arizona in store, I have both I Think that despite the fact I have played Texas more, that Arizonas 4x3 gun layout is more userfriendly and more alike the simililar 4x3 on New Mexico or 4x2 Colorado. T6 is near optimun for 1 premium in US BBs, moneyprinting vs meta/difficulty. But Texas is perfectly acceptable, if the prize is good. Warspite and Dunkerque is fun but both are single premium in lines that do not exist yet and need some experience to use. I Think that even if you will concentrate on BBs it will pay dividends ro play DDs and cruisers at least up to T5/6 as it will give you info of your enemies. Even if you just play limited time it goes fast up the first tier levels. A lot ca be learn in various videos and guides but for the final insight you need own experience. About lup3s post about keepers. I like it a lot as it also take into account lower tiers. Many players dismiss the lower tiers, I do not., I am a collector so I have around the 100 ships, and I like the more forgiving playstyle there and the look of the ships. It depends on if you are a collector, or interested in warships in general, want variation all factors that will increase your demand for keepers or if you see the game go to higher tiers and never look back. In BBs I have all T2-10 in IJN incl premiums Mikasa, Ishi, US T3-9 + Arizona, Texas, KM T3-8 + König Albert, Scharnhorst +Dunkerque and Warspite, will not part anything. Hoping for a miracle Nikolai in a container. There is nothing wrong or right here, but some ships require perhaps special playstyle or special taste, but there are some ships that seem to be universal popular like Kongo and others like Kawachi are considered poor. What IJN has in favour apart from T3 is the better speed at T4 and T5 which gives better possibilities to reposition yourself, while the US up to T7 are irritatingly slow and you are punished if you drive your ship in the wrong direction. German ships are more a progression here with speed more in between. To play cruisers also and DDs gives you more feel maybe faster for the maps as you if you survive can travel much further so this is also a reason for playing them also.

It was only through cheating that they could deliver 6-11 and 26-28 kts within treaty so 4 kts more were out of the question when the Deutschland, the first ship in class were designed. Outstanding range was one of the great features. Gunnery wise the 11-inch guns outranged most of the battleships (not counting battlecruisers) of the era. The french battleships (remember France was the enemy when Germany designed these ships), Courbet/Bretagne had not anywhere near the gun range in its older 12/13,4 inch mountings. Against a slow BB in the middle of the Atlantic the Graf Spee would just drive away, its function was as Diminios states to raid merchant shipping. An AMC= Armed Merchant Cruiser would be easy prey as Admiral Scheer showed against Jervis Bay. So Graf Spees design is not matched against the WOWs meta at all. It will be interesting to see how she best performs - I think that she might have a high skill demand at least to perform really good, compared with other ships. Especially when against T7/8 ships. Against faster BBs she is left with almost no counter,as live to fight another day is not part of WOWs meta. I suppose both BBs and DDs may see her as if not fodder so at least an inviting target? Regardless I think I must have her.

Shiratsuyu & Akatsuki - The New IJN DD Tree Makes No F@#king Sense
Gnirf replied to Pupu_prpr's topic in Destroyers
No, Yugumo is the development from Kagero and belonged to what IJN defined as A-class destroyers, the ultimate development of the special type starting with the Fubuki. Akizuki is B-class, designed as anti-aircraft screening units for carriers. C-class is Shimakaze, as the A-class were to f.e. too slow compared to newer US DDs. If i remenber Matsu/Tachibana a sort of destroyer escort (not in the game) were the D-class. If you want to read more about IJN DDs these books are good: https://www.amazon.com/Imperial-Japanese-Navy-Destroyers-1919-45/dp/1849089841/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1480528980&sr=1-1&keywords=Japanese+Destroyers https://www.amazon.com/Imperial-Japanese-Navy-Destroyers-1919-45/dp/1849089876/ref=pd_bxgy_14_img_2?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=1849089876&pd_rd_r=H4J520M2K896RMQ84M6S&pd_rd_w=zF9vI&pd_rd_wg=6wlu2&psc=1&refRID=H4J520M2K896RMQ84M6S- 28 replies

Koenig Albert - I thought WG was supposed to not release broken premiums anymore
Gnirf replied to KapteinSabeltann's topic in Battleships
König Albert is good but has far slower reload against Nassaus. Against T4 ships like Wyoming and Kaiser w 14-14,6 range you are at an disadvantage regardless of you are in a Nassau or König Albert. Nevertheless one must also look at the numbers of best performers somewhat cautiosly. What is the player level and captain level of those who plays a ship like König Albert (or several other premium ships that seems OP by some). If I drive my super Bogatyr any T3 Battleships is at mercy. Nassau players may be on average lesser skilled than König Albert players. If you are veteran and have both the Nassau and König Albert which do you play? What is the average captain when the Nassau is played (maybe many that just grind through) compared with the I imagine more enthustiastic König Albert players? I am not stating that posts here are wrong but statistics may be open to interpretation, especially premiums that rewards extra skilled gameplay with a higher skill ceiling and are bought and driven by more dedicated? players.. .- 18 replies

A Little end comment. I played and grinded through the Hatsuharu to unlock the Fubuki in 47 games (prem camo bought+ prem account), no freexp all modules etc. I used the advices to the best of my limited abilty. It made a huge difference: Key factors were the increased survival rate to 53% and more retreating from unnecessary and hopeless fights. Managed even to have better damage average than server which is not the usual thing (28 vs 22). It might have been too cautious as the server average survival rate is only 31 %. WR 63 %. But I expect this to be far too good and I will stabilize at a lower level, but it is at least an indication of the value of playing same ship. Therefor I will not be surprised if I win 5 of the 20 games that follow. In the Hatsuharu the catastrophic battles could not be avoided but it could be completed with at least some good battles damagewise, have had 2 on around 86 and 1 on 90. All but the 2 first games were played with torp boost instead of smoke. He he so my thing to improve my smoke play were not involved., only torp spamming. Few in the middlerange of damage, and in T9 matches most went poor in stats but the team might have won anyway, as top tier if she survives she is lethal against ususpecting Battleships at T5/T6 Fuso, New York etc. But most of the kills were not directly attributed to my skill, it is more that I felt that I avoided being killed early and with few ships left could kill BBs that either were played with a steady straight course due to lack of skill or focused elsewhere. Late in the battle a BB may have to skip WASD as they may be forced to push hard and play risky in order to stand a chance to win. In higher tiers most of the damage were a stray torp here and there which might help in the destruction, lower tier BBs could be hit by several. The good thing is at least that at lower tiers I have reached a level that gives a chance to punish poor play. I tried more or less to avoid fight with DDs as much as possible on 1 vs 1, she can not win against anything except other IJN. Only if they were far more damaged. Now this worked OK in Hatsuharu and it is only 47 games, bought the Blys now in the sale, but the gunboat tactics might suit me less than the stealth IJN play. At least it have felt so earlier
